This guitar is in pristine condition. I bought it a few months ago for $1,500.00. I hate to sell it, but I m in financial trouble. I used this guitar in my recording studio. The only scratches you ll find are on the pick guard. Has that vintage Gibson sound. I play through Vox amps, so I get really good sound. The soft shell case has never been used. The tags are still on it. Make me an offer I can t refuse!

I fell I love with this new *USA 2018 Les Paul with the smoked bourbon burst! When I got it home it was very professionally set up and laid out (unlike most other manufacturers) this guitar was ready to rock right out of the box! Even complete with a nice black leather Gibson leather strap. I was VERY pleased that I bought a USA Gibson! Until I had the guitar turned around face down on my couch, you could see the reflection from the window on the back of the guitar as I was walking by. In a moment I noticed a severe "distortion" in the paint. I picked it up and inspected it closer looking straight at the back and couldn't see it. So I just blew it off. Upon closer inspection, and looking at the back of the guitar from the edge against the light, the ENTIRE back of the guitar looked "wavy" like if you dropped a rock in a pond kid of look. I was heart broken! The finish in my opinion was NOT SANDED ENOUGH and left every defect in the back of the guitar. To Musiciansfriend credit they were great and gave me an RMA with no problem so I hesitantly returned the guitar fearing I was going to get a new one with the SAME PROBLEM. Well, I did, heart broken again, and to Musiciansfriend credit they gave me ANOTHER RMA. This is NOT MF fault, it's GIBSON'S. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in USA Gibson now and will never purchase another Gibson USA guitar ever again. People around the world would die for a USA Gibson, but I'm here to tell you that unfortunately China and Especially Korea produce way better finishes! The Guitar itself was rock solid and sounded fantastic! I have several guitars including a 2010 custom shop Carvin that came to me absolutely perfect like a USA guitar should, so, for the record, I know what a professional guitar is supposed to look like. I don't know whether this will be posted or not by MF, but they, unlike USA Gibson, have been WONDERFUL. Buyer beware!

While I still feel that the lower-end Epiphone Les Paul's (I had a Special II as my first electric) are great for the money, I decided to move up to my first actual Gibson Les Paul. The weight relief is what immediately caught my attention and I find this guitar a lot more comfortable to play. I'm also blown away by how much sustain it has over my previous Epiphone not to mention the overall finish and the ability to split the humbuckers. I went for the Cherry Burst but it wasn't easy to choose as the Midnight in Manhattan (blue) looked just as beautiful.

It's a BEAUTIFUL Les Paul!
4 March 2022

I just bought a nice Candy Apple Deluxe Fender Strat a while back to upgrade to a REAL guitar, so a Les Paul was next on my list of guitars to get...someday down the road. Went to GC and traded in my bass to upgrade to a new one. On the wall I saw this deep cobalt blue Les Paul for under 2K. After 2 weeks I could not resist, said YOLO and ordered it online for store pickup. A wonderful instrument and offers a much different sound in contrast with the Strat, no regrets. I often just stare at it because it is a work of art, looks so nice next to my new strat and bass :)

So it arrived today!it came in a very nice branded MusicStore box with a short checklist of things done before packing. This is nice as makes me confident the purchase was made with premium supplier. The standard Gibson outfit package is really cool. There's a branded soft gig bag with nice fluffy interior, a bag strap, a cloth, few marketing leaflets, and, a photo of the guitar that was made in the factory. Very cool.Value wise, its fantastic. Visually, its a different line. The guitar was pretty much setup to play from the box (thanks musicstore team), which was a nice surprise too.Unplugged, there is more than enough sustain, vibe and articulation details. This instrument sounds very much like pricier Les Pauls, even with no power. The neck is nice and fast with medium jumbos, allowing to play pretty much everything you want.Once plugged in to 90s JCM 800 set, it did deliver pretty much everything the more expensive Gibsons' do. There's sustain, articulation, the 'gurl' of Gibson. Studio workhorse, worth every penny. Which was a bit of surprise as the Studios' are slightly lighter in body construction. Some complain about finish quality, but i have not observed anything limiting playability yet. As mentioned before: if you place it next to a top-shelf Les Paul, you WILL see a difference. You will see dozens of differences in finish and quality as these instrumets are different. But, to me, its a great guitar, and I would reccomend that to anyone looking for Gibson sounding instrument for relatively moderate price. LP Studio is probably the cheapest and easiest way to get real Gibson sound for "OK" money.I have one comment to MusicStore team regarding the purchase process: It would be nice to allow customer to change payment option in case of problems with the one initially chosen.

Just took delivery of my 2016 Studio T in Pelham blue. This guitar is amazingly gorgeous, the creamy colors with the blue and gold knobs just make this guitar pop. It definitely reminds me something you would have seen in the 50's. It was pretty much setup perfectly right out of the case, only thing I had to do was some minor tuning of the strings. The neck profile is great and a pleasure to play on. My only complaint for this guitar would be the weight. I had a 2016 Faded Studio T and there is definitely a huge weight difference, my Faded Studio T weighed approximately 6.5lbs using the modern weight relief. The weight difference bothered me to the point that I put my new 2016 Studio T on a digital scale and sure enough it weighed 8lbs and a few ounces. Never thought I'd own a Gibson, but here I am!!
26 October 2022

If it weren't for the leasing option Guitar Center is offering, I would've never owned this awesome guitar!! I am a bass player of many decades and just picked up the electric guitar a few years back. Though I am not a great guitar player, I strive for the best with any purchase I make.Having small hands, this guitar is perfect and knew it the second the saleswoman put it in my hands. The only complaint I have is the fact of spending as much money as I did, it only comes with a gig bag. The Epi 1959 comes with a hardshell case and almost half the price. Either way, I now own a Gibson that has the tones they're so well known for and had I approved for more $, I would've bought 2!

Poor quality control

This Gibson Les Paul looks great and sounds like a Les Paul. It is slightly darker than on the picture on the website. The guitar comes with a very nice gig-bag.The seals of the original box were already broken upon arrival, as Music Store claims to do an inspection of the guitar prior dispatch. That's OK for me but ...There were several flaws: On the headstock, one tuner was not fully tightened (clearly visible) and another tuner missed a screw that should secure the alignment of that tuner. The jack receptacle cover plate missed a screw as well. When selecting the 'neck pickup' an abnormal static hum was present. I opened the guitar rear electronics compartment and saw the grounding wire of that pickup was loose and touching the side of the cavity. As Gibson uses 'no soldering' connectors, it is almost impossible to fix this thing. After making sure the grounding wire no longer makes contact with the guitar body, the problem is more or less under control. So, no points for Music Score inspectors.I contacted Support via e-mail. I attached some pictures and asked for some spare screws. They answered promptly and promised to send the screws. It took another 'reminder' e-mail from my side and I eventually received 10 different screws, allowing me to pick the ones best fit for the jobs. The guitar is now in good shape ... but it feels like I payed a premium price (1399 Eur) for a low end guitar. Or maybe I just was unlucky to receive this 'Monday morning assembled' product ..

About 9 years ago, I passed my 1978 LP Deluxe Cherry Burst down to my son. I was not using it in any of my projects and it was just too heavy for me to gig with. He had dubbed it "Excalibur" and it is now his. I have been mainly playing Telecasters, a PRS briefly, and several Grestch models. But sometimes you just need a Paul. I had read some of the cons on the tribute that stated that fret ends were not finished completely etc.... I'll be hanged if I can find the scratches that were supposed to be on this guitar. Not a one. So that is cool.3rd..... very happy over all. I haven't had a ton of time with it yet but fit and finish, and the frets are great. No dead spots I can find. Not bad considering it's spent most of its life years sitting around in a box.The case is the standard plush lined Gibby brown one.I find the bridge PU a tad muddy but will reserve judgement until I spend some more time with it and try it thru a few of my amps.I ordered trim (PUP rings, pickguard and speed knobs) in cream on the same day and it arrived at the same time. Really dressed up the all black guitar.

Worth every cent
12 January 2018

The Gibson Les Paul Studio has been a mainstay in the line since it was introduced. It is a high quality incredible work horse for the musician. And no it is not overpriced. You simply pay for quality. You are paying for the best that there is. Period. This guitar is worth every penny that Gibson is charging. It is the same price and actually under, most other USA made instruments. This year's Studio in my opinion, is a beautiful work of art. The gloss finish is gorgeous. It has great Grover tuners. The fretboard is bound. The pickups are fantastic, and the price includes a Gibson hard shell case! The playablility is superb and the tone through a good tube amp will give you chills. Worth every penny? Yes, and then some.
