If you own a Gibson you have to use these strings always! They make your Gibson sound and perform the way it was designed for. They produce the best growl and substain out of your pickups and are truly a match made in heaven.

I have been playing guitar for over 40 years and, without doubt, these are the best electric strings I have ever used, the sound and "playability" of these is absolutely fabulous.Buy with confidence.

I recently had some repair work done on my 79 Peavey T-60 and the tech recommended these. I haven't played my T in years, and back when I did, it was in my garage band where we cranked out a lot of Zeppelin and Hendrix stuff. The T-60 offers coil splitting via the tone knobs. At 10, you get single coil. Below that, you get a variety of full humbucker tones. It has a 25.5 inch scale. It's a perfect cross between a classic Fender Strat and a Gibson Les Paul, with some Telecaster tossed in on the neck pickup. I'm finding this time around with the T that I'm really enjoying the clean tones I'm getting, playing through a Fender Princeton Reverb Reissue, as well as playing through an overdrive pedal (to get some dirt without scaring the dogs out of the room). I'm never sure with strings how much is sales talk and how much is legit technical merit, but I am finding I am enjoying the feel and the variety of tones I'm getting - single coil or bucker - from myT with these strings. I've got about six hours play wear on them so far, and there is no visible discoloration so I'm thinking they should last as long as they claim, to justify the price, which is the only reason I don't give them 5 stars. If they do last a good while, I will come back and update my rating. So far, I am happy.
I perform in classic rock band. These strings hold up well to my heavy handed picking. Nice tone too.
I use these strings on my Gibson's and PRS. They sound amazing, stay in tune and last a long time. I've used them in Strats and Teles also. I do wipe them down after each session and change them frequently. Highly recommend these!
So warm. Not as bright as others I have tried. I don't have pick up covers. I have a 57 classic in the neck and a 57 classic + in the bridge. They complement them.
It seems like I've tried just about every kind of string for electric there is, although I am always trying and re-trying different string sets. So far, nothing has compared to the pure tone and performance of these strings. They are balanced, have singing sustain, tuning stability, and last forever for being non-coated. They are consistently good, as well. Each set I've used all sounded and performed the same. The only negatives about these strings are that they aren't cheap, and they seem to be hard to come by from time to time. These will be my go-to string for as long as they continue to make them. I play primarily Les Pauls, but also have a Tele and a couple "super strats."
Bought for a Les Paul. Good sounding and durable but more expensive than similar strings
These Gibson vintage strings are the icing on my musical cake. Reliable all nickel nice feel. Sam Ash shipping was surprisingly fast.
