Fast forward in time and we have a up updated version of that, the 21st century shave club, where instead of going to a barber shop we go to our computers (or other internet devices) and go to a website, and instead of reading the newspaper while we wait our turn, we read updated tips or personal stories on how to get a better closer shave or what razor works best, and instead of a straight razor we're ordering the newest technology of razors right to our front door to try and get a close shave ... MoreWhen you hear the words "shave club" to me it kicks up pictures of like in old school movies where the men would go sit around a barber shop and read news papers, knowing everyone there, while they wait for their turn in the chair to get a fresh cut with a straight razor. The idea of getting stuff right to my door I love, cause of course I don't really like shopping, but I'm also not a big fan of paying for stuff online. I like to pay for stuff with cash, so I would be all gun ho to buy razors that came right to my door if, say, there was a store or some place I could go to and sign up and set up my delivery system and just pay in advance a little for it kinda like a phone bill.As for the Gillette flexball razor that I receive with my Bzzkit, I loved it! I find it so much easier to to shave in the places that you kinda have to angle the other razors to get a nice close shave( like around the mouth and nose when your having your moustache area) and it didn't leave me with any little kicks in those areas either, which I get sometimes with my old razor. It's a much smoother, closer shave. Even my girlfriend has mentioned that it seems smoother and closer because she said that when she runs her hand over my face it's smooth both ways (running up and down) and not just down like it was with my old razor.Over all I give this whole campaign 3/5 stars, because I LOVE the razor and think I will have to continue to buy blades for it so I can keep getting a nice close shave since my girlfriend and I both like the feel of it so much more (you know what they say, happy wife happy life), but took 2 stars away because where as I like the shave club, the tips and coupons, I'm not sure how much I would really use the buying system right to my door since I'm not a fan of paying for stuff online. When they make it so I can go somewhere and pay in advance please let me know because I will be the first one in line for it. But in general I think the whole idea of the shave club is great.

It makes sense as to why their model in the "How to Shave Your Face" video is a younger male, likely either in late highschool or early college. The website provides great tips and "How To's" of shaving as well as a full array of products available to choose from. The website also provides all of the necessary information to know which type of razors to use would best suit your needs as you shop through the available razors (and descriptions) online. For the Shave Plans, it also provides 3 main options, breaks down how frequently you should purchase new razors and provides all the base necessities for your daily shave (razor + extra blades). A concern/inconvenience with the Fusion Shave Plan is that shaving cream is not available as a convenient addition on the website. It is odd that this addition is available for both the Mach3 Turbo and the Fusion Proglide Shave Plans but not for the Fusion Shave Plan (the option that I would most often go with). To provide that same convenience for those who choose the Fusion Shave plan on the Gillette website itself would be a great addition. With Amazon as the online retail provider, quick, easy and simple shipping makes for great convenience, especially if you have to order razors, extra blades or shave gel on a short time line.

To have such advanced technology, I really do salute the R&D department. I grow facial hair pretty fast and with the Fusion ProGlide, I think I've found my new favorite razor.Top marks to the design team for not only making something that grips really well but also the flexball that adjusts to your face's contours and doesn't nick it. Thinking ahead and getting value for our purchases is what consumers like me appreciate the most and kudos to the whole team.If you haven't bought this yet and struggle with shaving or travel a lot like me and need just one razor to keep you good for days try the Fusion Proglide razor. It's well worth the money and will lead to less frustration after a shave. This definitely doesn't need an after-shave - haha#bzzagent #gotitfree

Best blades
25 February 2023

Shout out the movie Blade but Gillette is the best Blade. Nothing against Wesley Snipes but this blades are the leading role in my movie. I love the pro glide and I was trying out different cartridges like the shield and I just find the classic glides to be the most suitable for me as I shave once every other day. Thanks for the amazing service and subscription option. I take advantage of the latter and truly appreciate Gillette. I used other blades and brands but the look and feel from these are what set the bar for my standards. I’d love a sample pack of all the types of blades Gillette sells to try the blades out to find my perfect one but like I mentioned I found the pro glide original to suit me for now. One love y’all thanks!!!

Essentially just an Amazon subscribe and save link...

The Shave Club--------------In general, I like the idea behind shave clubs. One low price in exchange for signing up for a consistent steam of products at regular intervals.Having tried a budget competitor to Gilette Shave Club, Harry's, I was intrigued when Gilette decided to enter the arena. I found that Gilette has superior lubricants on their razors, a more advanced handle and an innovative shave gel dispenser that stays clean so I was looking forward to getting a bit of a deal on refills / shave gel in exchange for joining the subscription model. The Gilette Shave Club is a bit strange in that it is just a link to Amazon (at least, in Canada) - I found that adding the foam gel to my 8 pack fusion proglide subscription doesn't give me a subscription option ... MoreThe Shave Club--------------In general, I like the idea behind shave clubs. You can actually just browse to the foam gel's page and do a subscribe-and-save to get the same discount. An interesting note is that Amazon Subscribe and Save, the program that Gilette Shave Club is run under, gives a discount of 15% if you add 5 different subscribe and save items that arrive in the same month. Because of this, I subscribed to the shave club under my spouse's Amazon account since she already has a number of monthly subscriptions - this allowed me to get a more substantial discount on the blades. Also, there is absolutely no reason anyone should be ordering anything but the 8 count subscription... razors take up virtually no space so it's a no-brainer to buy the 8 pack at a lower cost/blade since you're getting the same subscribe and save discount no matter how frequently you get blades delivered... Given that it's the shave gel is the item that's a pain to maintain in home storage, that is where a subscription would have been useful. So here's the thing... picking up a pack of razors every six months isn't terribly hard. I live in a major city and I literally walk past a half-dozen places that sell these razors in my 5 minute talk to work. I don't get any benefit in terms of convenience. That being said, I found the program IS worthwhile if you have other subscribe-and-save items from Amazon because of the generous 15% discount but otherwise, the tiny 5% discount off MSRP is not a great incentive. The Razors----------The Fusion Proglide itself is fantastic. The ball has just the right amount of bounceback when turning and the blades are sharp and are effective in giving a nice smooth shave. The save always ends up better than other brands of razors. I like them very much and they're my first choice when I need a really good clean shave (as opposed to my lazy/rushed electric shaver days)The shave gel-------------Absolutely fantastic gel works well and is in a great container designed to keep leakage from occurring. I absolutely hate cleaning residual foam that seeps out throughout the next 2 minutes after using most gel containers and this can is designed so I don't have to.

Fusion: Not my #1, But Great in a Pinch
29 December 2015

I'll be honest: I abandoned cartridge razors over one year ago. The reason was simple - the price per cartridge was insulting and unwarranted. The price costs associated with quality cartridge razors (disposable blades chewed my face up) made me have to include 'shaving' on my monthly budget. It's not just the cartridges, however. Any shave gel/foam worth buying generally breaks the bank and provides enough product for relatively few shaves.I have since switched to the double-edge safety razors from my grandparents generation. The cost per blade works out to be about 10-20 cents, and while they may not last quite as long as a ~$5 cartridge, you can use them generously as you can replace them with change you find under your sofa cushions. The cost per blade works out to be about 10-20 cents, and while they may not last quite as long as a ~$5 cartridge, you can use them generously as you can replace them with change you find under your sofa cushions. The shave quality (after a serious learning curve) is exceptional as well, and that may be in part due to the prep that comes with this style of wet shaving. When BzzAgent sent me this product, I was already familiar with it. A few times travelling I have had to purchase these razors for short term use. The shave is excellent, and especially great for when you don't have time to do the brush/lather routine of the double-edge blades. I especially appreciate the lack of care required to get such a decent shave; my double-edge requires great attention to detail lest I leave a bloody mess all over the bathroom. I have used this razor for this review every second day since its arrival, and the blades have managed to maintain their sharpness. The 5th blade on the back of the cartridge is especially handy for those mornings where you have little time to spare.Unfortunately, even through Gillette Shave Club, the cartridge price is the downfall. Would I switch back to cartridge if Gillette offered the equivalent price-per-shave of double-edge? Probably - As much as I enjoy the hobby and art of shaving with older technology, convenience in this day and age is number 1. The idea of a Shave Club is comparable with other brands like Dollar Shave Club. Seeing Gillette move in this direction is nice, but to be truly competitive they need to 'shave' a few dollars off their subscription service to win me over. For now, my Number 1 remains the double-edge. It's been a nice two-week fling, Gillette, I will miss the times we shared.

Great for sensitive skin...

When it comes to shaving, Gillette is my go-to brand. I have tried cheaper brands when I was tight for money, but Gillette is worth every penny. I have tried cheaper brands when I was tight for money, but Gillette is worth every penny. You can feel the difference if you go back to using a traditional razor.Another thing that I really like about these razors is they have a blade at the top of the razor that makes it easy to shave above your lip. I find with other five blade brands the razor is too thick and it makes it hard to shave below your nose, with this extra blade at the top, it makes it easy without cutting you or missing spots. This extra blade is also great for shaping sideburns, as you can be more detailed since it is easier to maneuver. As for the Gillette Shave Club, I was very satisfied with their service. I ordered mine through Amazon and had no issues getting it delivered. The blades, extra flexball handle and shaving gel came in the box, which makes it more convenient for me because I always forget to buy blades. You can also select how often you want the blades to be delivered to you. This is great if you only shave once or twice a week, or if you shave every day like I do.Overall I am very satisfied with Gillette’s Fusion Proglide products, and would recommend the Gillette Shave Club and products to a friend. Yes, Gillette is a little more expensive, but I find I save money in the long run because they last longer than any razor I have used.

Great razors, so so shave club
15 January 2016

I have used Gillette Fusion razors in the past and they are by far the best. They always give a smooth clean shave with no knick’s, especially compared to the cheaper brands. The new Fusion ProGlide with Flexball takes it another step further and I found this razor contoured my face even better than the regular Fusion razors. As for the shave club, I have mixed feelings. I have heard of many other shave clubs and while I liked the idea purely from a point of convenience, I worried about the quality of the razors, as many of the non-Gillette brands I have tried have left my face raw and bleeding. When I had the opportunity to try the Gillette Shave Club, I jumped at the chance. The reason I am mixed though is how the shave club is executed. When I had the opportunity to try the Gillette Shave Club, I jumped at the chance. The reason I am mixed though is how the shave club is executed. While other shave clubs have their own dedicated sites that send you razors and optional shaving cream at the frequency you choose, Gillette’s Shave Club simply redirects you to Amazon and tells you to use their “Subscribe & Save†feature to get your razors on a regular basis. In a way I like that I don’t have to enter all my information into a new website, as I already have an Amazon account, but it’s not really a shave club to simply tell you to use another company’s site and features to buy these razors. I could have done that already on my own, as I do with a few other products I subscribe to from Amazon. The price on Amazon for the refill is comparable to what I can get in retail stores and actually may be higher in the long term, as I tend to stock up on the refills when they go on sale, or I buy at Costco in bulk for a reduced price.Gillette’s Shave Club does give you the option to buy all the same things as the other shave clubs do, but it’s really Amazon that is offering those things. To me it doesn’t feel like a big effort to compete to just tell the consumer to use Amazon. I will still use Gillette razors for sure, and maybe coupons and exclusive offers sent through e-mail will make the club worth it, but I don’t think I’ll be rushing to change the way I buy these razors at this time.

Like most other Gilette razors, absolute garbage.

Clean shave, yeah cool. The scars and ingrown hairs I get every time I use Gillette razors, not cool. Your gel strips are trash, stop putting them on all your widely accessible razor heads. It gunks up the blades, it irritates skin, it traps hair follicles. It also causes pores to become trapped and leads to breakouts. I'm writing this because every time I've had this issue, specifically with Gillette, my most recent shave I got over 8 DEEP ingrown hairs and multiple clogged pores. Bic disposable razors are better because you can crack off the strip when they have them and theyre just as common.

Title *Great

I think... *Havng used the package through the first razor head, here are my thoughts on the package as a whole: - The handle is comfortable to hold, has just the right amount of weight, and is balanced very well - The razor achieves a very close shave with little to no razor burn and one replacement will last a whole week, even with my thick, wiry facial har - The shave gel keeps you skin feeling smooth, but the fragrance isn't for everyone The handle is great. Very well designed, the sides and top have a rubberized grip which is patterned to prevent slippage. Under the grips the handle has the weight of what I assume is an aluminum body, its heavy enough to not feel like a cheap disposable razor, but isn't as heavy as your dad's old safety razor handle. The whole weight is distributed such that the side grips on the handle easily mark the center of balance with a detachable razor head attached. If you've ever used a cheap disposable razor, you know how an off balance handle can lead to uneven shaves. The razor blades themselves are easily some of the best I've ever had the pleasure to use. Even shavers that are just starting out will have no problem getting a close shave comparable to a professional barber giving you a hot shave. With my thick, wiry facial hair, the blades held up for 5 shaves, once daily for the work week. The last day was the first day I began to notice the blade starting to tug on the hairs in the slightest. I prefer to remain clean shaven, so I didn't use the precision blade on the back of the razor, so I can't comment on it's performance. The only problem I had with this kit, and this is solely down to personal preference, was the shave gel included in the kit. I did not like the fragrance of the shave gel. I compared it to the fragrance of my sister's shaving cream, and they smelled almost the same, except mine had a slight minty twinge. When I asked my father and brother-in-law what they thought of the smell, they both commented that it smelled "girly". Odor aside, the shave gel worked great, foamed up to make a great lather and provided an awesome shaving medium. It also had a nice cooling sensation (probably the source of the aforementioned minty twinge). Overall I would recommend the handle and razor to my friends and family (I already have in fact), and if you like the scent of the shave gel, the whole kit is a winner in my book.
