I used to use throwaway razors, mainly as they were really cheap and buying one of these seemed like an expensive alternative. The truth is that you get a far better shave with this and although it is more expensive, it lasts longer and I don't get the same rashes that the cheaper ones give. It's great for taking on holiday as the blades last a long time so you don't have to take loads of spare blades. Well recommended.

I have tough facial hair and the Gillette razor gives me a clean shave. It is the most effective wet razor I have ever used. The blades only appear to be good for two or three shaves.

To limit the abrasion on my skin my shaving routine usually consists of an electric shave every 3 days to remove a reasonably thick growth that has developed by the end of those 3 days and then I finish with a disposable razor to complete the job that the electric razor doesn’t fully complete.I generally use the little cheap Slalom razors which are acceptable but only really good at shaving a pre-trimmed facial hair or very short growth. However they do tend to cause a bit of razor burn.That’s where this razor is much better. There is no razor burn at all still after about 8 uses. Also, I waited for about 4 days worth of growth to give this razor a real test and I was amazed at how well it worked. Probably about 3-4mm of growth and it glided through it nicely. ... Such a great razor - really sharp and precise line, but little chance of nicks. Doesn't create razor burn and importantly needs little lubrication from shave gel, so you get a super close finish.Easy to manoeuvre around nose and chin, glides well - everything you need.I recommend stocking up on replacement blades when they're on offer. It just makes sense - as does buying Gillette. Great stuff.
I've been using this Razor for a few weeks now and the results have been very good. The blades give a good close shave and seem to last longer than my previous Gillette razor. Certainly recommend to anyone with a heavy growth like myself, I tend to shave twice a day if I've got something on in the evening.Only wish Gillette would reduce the price of replacement blades.
I purchased this razor from Shavershop along with another brand purchased elsewhere online. I compared both and now the other brand has gone in the bin. It wasn't actually that bad and I have used the brand before. However, the Gillette razor is super light and shaves super smooth. The blades do not irritate my face at all, unlike many others. The Gillette Mach3 is simply the best razor I have ever used. Other reviews online seem to agree.
I got this as a free promotion during orientation week at Monash University. I finding that my el-cheapo razors where slicing me up and making be bleed (and bleed) . So when I got this Mach 3, I thought I'd give it a go. It was magical. It cuts very close and very smoothly. I have a deep chin dimple that can cause problem but it was just fine with the Mach 3. No cuts, no nicks, NO BLOOD! Fabulous razor. I use it with Proaso Green Tea and Oatmeal sensitive pre-shave cream.
The big selling point for this razor is that each head can be used ten times without any deterioration in the quality of the shave. I can vouch for this - the shave quality is excellent. The razor itself is heavy and satisfying too hold. For this price, a beautiful razor, exceptional value (assuming replacement heads are equally cheap!) and I can give this no other score than five stars.
I've used Gillette Mach3 razors over the years but this one seems to outdo anything previously - the first shave I couldn't believe it had actually done anything, it just glided over my face and delivered the usual Mach3 closeness, didn't feel anything - magic! But on top of that this razor just looks so good!! I know that's not top importance but the combination of shiny silver and white with blue detail just looks stunning. So all round a great razor and great value for money (and it comes with one spare shaving head).
