The perfect matte nude lip does not exis— is actually shade 103 Palazzo, a versatile, universal nude or base color for other lip products. No. 103 goes with anything and everything, but would be a great compliment to an intense smokey eye. When I first saw the shade 209 Palazzo, I was sure it wouldn’t work for me, and I’ve never been happier to be proven wrong about a color! It might even be my favorite. I like 209 with a golden/bronze eye look.

The color payoff is definitely there. They're lightweight and so comfortable. Literally feels like a gloss in terms of comfort, but have the texture wear of a hydrating bullet lipstick. I also really like the applicator. You really dont have to dip in more than twice (honestly once for me) to get all the product you need. The rosy shade (nomad 524) is a great universal shade imo. It's not too bright or deep, it's a pink tone that wears very neutral. I think its great for all occasions. I did see a trio mini set on sephora that includes shade 209 103 if those caught your eye. Unfortunately it doesn't include 524, there's a red in the pack instead, so you would need to buy it separately.

Since COVID came to our shores, mask wearing outside the house has pushed me to reeeallllyy dig into my liquid lipstick stash and let me tell you, all liquid lipsticks are NOT created equal. Many smudge and rub off on the mask as soon as I put my mask on which is fine if I don’t plan to take my mask off except for in the car and when I get home. Color me surprised when all 3 performed beautifully! I will note: Check your teeth before you finish applying because before they set they are SO creamy and moisturizing. So a little might get on your teeth. Once they dry down, they are set and you can easily go about your day. I will say that If you aren’t in the habit of using a lip balm or chapstick before you apply any liquid lipsticks, you may see that the lines in your lips are enhanced. I love these and aside from the complimentary colors I got, I will definitely purchase some pinker/mauvier ones!

Very easy to layer, though, which is a nice feature. I believe this is in part due to the “velvet” nature. I suppose you can still classify it as matte, but it’s more complex than that and not truly a flat matte. My second issue is price point. I am not sold on these being the perfect value for what they offer. That being said, I found the formula unique among my large collection of matte liquid lipsticks: it’s not drying like the others, but again, it’s also not a full coverage product. It’s not a traditional LIQUID LIPSTICK formula, she’s thiccc with 3 C’s—there’s a bit of a slip and it feels hydrating. It almost feels like a lip oil and it’s really comfortable. The texture on the lips is very close to Rare’s lip souffle or NARs Air Matte lippies (but a little thicker because I was able to get a nice application with one swipe). I also wouldn’t say this has a matte finish either it’s more of a semi-matte velvet finish so it’s forgiving for mature lips.Pros:-Uber comfortable formula. I was surprised to learn Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Liquid Lipstick has been around for a decade. I've never heard of it until receiving the product to try. Available in 32 shades, I received 103 Tadzio (beige pink), 209 Palazzo (warm brown red) and 524 Rose Nomad (deep rose). It's described as a velvet matte liquid lipstick with a creamy texture.I have to admit I was not a fan when I first tried this product. I was a little biased upfront simply because the colors were not flattering on me at all. When applying the product straight from the applicator it felt thick, cakey and almost tingly as if it was a plumper. It does give one coat coverage as stated in its description, however, I could not get it to fully dry and it smudged like crazy. The other two colors are still unflattering on me on their own but I discovered if you mix them (103 Tadzio and 209 Palazzo) together, you get the perfect 90's grunge brown lipstick.My two primary complaints with this product is it smears like crazy, even applied lightly. Moreso than any other product I've used. Also, the description states you should get 8 hours of wear with it. That is simply not so unless perhaps you don't eat or drink during those 8 hours. After a "burrito test" and I was left with blotchy half missing lipstick. I reapplied after eating and drank water throughout the afternoon. By the end of the day, I had a light stain on my lips. While it didn't look bad, I definitely didn't have lipstick left.

400 is a beautiful pink-toned red. When I initially I applied it I thought it was just ok but in photos it somehow looks very flattering. I also have 206 which is a brown red. You can apply these to be more sheer or build it up for the full color.My main complaint about Lip Maestros is you need a qtip, your finger or a lip brush to apply the product + blend out the edges, the doe foot applicator is pretty useless and will probably apply outside your lip line and pick up too much product. The black plastic part of the wand also picks up product from the opening after a few uses, so overall there's a lot of product buildup at the neck.As others mentioned, this does not dry down, so I would be careful with face masks.
