Today I am reviewing my third edition of My Way perfume, compliments of Macy’s and Armani Beauty. Previous renditions of My Way which I have experienced include the Floral and Intense eau de parfums - and I fell in love with both. This new edition is referred to simply as “My Way Parfum,” and it requires no further introduction. The flacon takes on a deeper aura with this edition, showcasing a visually stunning tonal gradient that transitions from royal blue to sunset pink. The citrus facet is strong with this fragrance, prolonging the top note for an intense introduction. Eventually I began to smell soothing hints of the Cedarwood and White Musk base peeking through the velvety Tuberose and Iris heart. Once the effervescent citrus notes settle down, you can really start to smell the characteristic My Way infusion of Vanilla Bourbon. The rich Madagascar sourced vanilla note adds a delectably smooth, sugary sweet coating that hugs the fragrance like a warm blanket. As expected, I very much enjoyed the Parfum. While not my favorite of the three I’ve tried, this edition of the famous Armani fragrance is unique enough in its olfactory make up to stand apart from its predecessors, while still maintaining that trademark floral woody scent that we’ve come to know as My Way. I just think of how beautiful all the bottles would look on display. One can dream!

Musk and Cedar are VERY Overpowering

I received a free sample of this product from BzztAgent in exchange for my honest review. I first smelled this on a perfume card from an Ulta catalog. I rather liked it but I wasn't getting the full spectrum of notes, only the top ones. This perfume uses white musk and cedar in the base and when you spray it, it's very apparent. Admittedly, musk and woody tones aren't preferred for me, but I found them overwhelming in this perfume. While I could still detect the white florals on top, I felt they were lost in the base notes. Vanilla is also used in the base but I couldn't detect that at all.As for longevity, it seemed to be a bit below average. I had never worn this perfume and after spraying it, I stopped smelling it about an hour after applying. I thought that I was familiar with this scent as I had tried it in the past in the form of the eau de perfume, so when I tried the PARFUM sample I was utterly shocked and amazed. This is a super sweet, ultra-feminine, almost overpowering floral. It starts off with a strong orange blossom/ citrusy note (I thought it was literally just orange blossom perfume when i tried it). But that gives way to the tuberose, getting sweeter and softer. It dries down after an hour or so to a more powdery vanilla scent. I was impressed with the scent longevity, could still smell it 6-8 hours later on my wrist.I really enjoyed it overall, and could see this going in my routine for date night or when I'm really feeling myself. It's a nice pop in my normal scent routine, but it's a little intense for me for daily wear.
