Designed to soak up the sting of road vibration without inhibiting bar feel, the Giro Strade Dure Supergel Gloves provide exceptional cushioning, an ergonomic fit, and superior build quality. Originally designed for medical applications, Supergel palm inserts distribute pressure up to 300% better than standard gel for superior padding and shock absorption. They're also 30% more impact-resistant, ensuring higher levels of protection from minor spills and abrasion. The AX Suede palm mimics the soft, supple feel of real leather, only it's made of the synthetic variety for extra durability. Along the glove's upper, you'll find four-way stretch mesh for added breathability on hot summer rides, further ventilated by the gloves open-finger design. Other functional features include a soft microfiber surface along the thumb's backside for wiping, as well as a secure hook-and-loop closure with a sonic-welded pull tab for easy on-and-off.

Within less than ten wearings, the seam on the thumb has come apart. Otherwise, the gloves seem OK. I'm a little worried about the velcro, though. It's got the "micro" style of velcro and in the past, I've found that those lose their stickiness pretty easily. Having to deal with RMA and return shipping for a store credit of $35 is hardly worth the inconvenience. I'll just write this off as poor purchase and buy my next pair of gloves at my LBS.

Needed a new pair of well padded mitts to protect my hands. At first glance these gloves looked great; they fit well and have good solid gel pads.Sadly after only three rides of 40-50k each, one of the gloves has already split at the seam on the index finger. As it's along the seam they can be restitched, but nevertheless, very disappointed at the lack of durability of a Giro product;had hoped for better. The pads are actually quite effective at absorbing shock, so will repair and persevere for now.

These are excellent quality biking gloves. They fit true to size and the gel feels very good when riding over bumpy terrain. I purchased two pairs, black and red. Would definitely recommend.
If you want gloves that have an overdose of padding this is the one. Keep in mind like with other padded gloves, the more padding it has the more bulky and less responsive it becomes. My main gripe with these gloves is the sizing is much smaller than the size chart indicates, needing to size up 2+ sizes to fit well. Other than that, I'm a bit unsure about the longevity of the gloves, just looking and feeling them it seems like they may wear down quickly and if anything look more worn out than they really are due to being mostly made with a rough suede and thin mesh. They'll probably still last a decent amount of time, just not as long as other gloves out there.
These are great gloves, well made with excellent padding. I've done a couple of big mountain bike rides (85+ miles mainly off road) in the couple of weeks since I bought them, and they've been very comfortable. I have big hands and the XXL were a fairly snug fit but have eased up slightly from wearing them.
Bought a L for my husband. Fits as expected based on sizing chart. Padding amount is optimal, with flexible/breathable fabric. Uses them for 30km daily rides and loves them. He loves them.
These Giro gloves have good quality and they fit perfectly to my hands (medium size). I purchased it after reading many satisfied reviewers' comments about its cushioning and functionality on preventing numbness in the hands, which is by reducing pressure on the nerves; I actually love the built-in hook and loop on the middle and ring finger, which makes it so easy to take off these half-finger gloves.
Ordered these for my dad as he wore through his other gloves. They are great quality with a good amount of cushioning. He is an average male and normally is a size L in other brands and size L fit him well. Great gift for someone who cycles often or is looking for some added comfort.
These gloves are a step up from my previous ones in terms of padding, but I have a problem with the fit. I've found that the sizing of some of my cycling products is inconsistent from brand to brand, so I tend to rely on the sizing guide that is included on the product web page. I measured my hand as described, and it clearly indicated that I was just slightly over mid-range for a Large. Now that I've worn them, I should have ordered XL. They're not uncomfortably tight once they're on, but putting them on and taking them off is more of an ordeal than it should be.The only other concern I have is with durability. After less than 2 weeks, some of the stitching has come loose on one of the gloves. If it doesn't get any worse, I should be able to get at least one ... MoreThese gloves are a step up from my previous ones in terms of padding, but I have a problem with the fit. I got them on sale for a good price. I guess time will tell if I really got a deal or not!
