Givenchy Insense Ultramarine Eau De Toilette Spray 100ml
Insense Ultramarine by Givenchy is one of those rare instances where a flanker surpasses the original. Released in 1994, it perfectly captured the then-popular trend of watermelon-aquatic fragrances, becoming a true hit. At the same time, it maintained its connection to Insense, preserving the distinctive blackcurrant base. However, to reduce it merely to freshness would be unjust: the fragrance boasts a multi-layered palette, featuring citrus, floral notes, and a tobacco depth. This combination makes the eau de toilette versatile. It is safe for daily use, far from mundane, highly invigorating, and has a gentle creamy touch of iris and magnolia that smooths out all edges. In the opening notes, a wave of watery watermelon imparts lightness and aquatic transparency to the fragrance. It is framed by vibrant bergamot, green galbanum, and rich blackcurrant. At the heart, the cool freshness of mint intertwines with the delicacy of lily of the valley, while spicy cardamom and clove add rhythm and dynamism to the composition. Iris takes center stage in this layer โ soft and creamy, and in tandem with magnolia, it creates a sense of fluidity. The smoky-dry tobacco in the base is most pronounced, accentuated by the woody nuances of cedar and vetiver.

So I use to wear this in the mid and late 90s and haven't worn since then until now! I added this to my collection again for nostalgic reasons. This fragrance is still a nice smelling fragrance. It's a fresh, floral and clean scent. I do get some Watermelon but very faint. I get more Magnolia, Carnation and Lily-of-the-Valley. I don't get any tobacco whatsoever in the dry down. What I do get is a bit of vetiver and the cedar notes. Performance is average as I get 6 to 7 hours on my skin with an hour of projection. This fragrance really brings me back to the good old days of the 1990s! ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ ๐จ๐น๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ by ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ต๐ is a Aromatic Fruity fragrance and was launched in 1994. Stay away from this product..This is the first time I have been disappointed on fragrancex, this Incense by Givenchy is no way close to the original one and within 5 minutes you will lose it. The aftermath of wearing this cologne is a terrible headache!!

I generally dislike aquatics, not because I dislike the concept of smelling like cool sea water on flowery tropical air, but because most aquatic fragrances come nowhere close to smelling like that. Insensรฉ Ultramarine, however, takes a respectable stab at it. The salty marine accord that spikes its top and middle notes is boldly pronounced against a dense and palatable mรฉlange of fruit and flowers. A peachy rose, circumspect jasmine, and dewy magnolia/cardamom arrangement flesh out this perfume's core, and are smudged against calone and ambergris. A bit synthetic, and more than a little saccharine, yes, but all within the bounds of the prevailing zeitgeist at the time of Ultramarine's release. A bit synthetic, and more than a little saccharine, yes, but all within the bounds of the prevailing zeitgeist at the time of Ultramarine's release. This is a '90s fragrance, with all the bells and whistles that came with aromatic scents of that decade. My main gripe is that a chemical-smelling salt note in the top and middle movement of Insensรฉ Ultramarine is too loud and unbalanced. If you think you're getting a refreshingly sweet floral aquatic for men, you're in for disappointment. If you're expecting something that smells "sporty" or metallic, look elsewhere. This is a big, bawdy, blue-dyed French perfume, disguised as a masculine, and that's reason enough for me to explore it.
I was first given Insense several years ago as a present. It has been my favourite scent ever since. It is great to still be able to get it - no other comes close to it.
Someone gave me this perfume as a gift a long time ago and I loved it, then I tried to look for it again but it was too expensive until I found it here in FraganceX; however, something might have changed from the very first one I got because I feel like this one doesn't last as much as the first one and its scent changes from the first time you put it on to a couple hours later. It's still a good fragance though and I'm glad I was able to find it here.
I wanted to try it because of the high ratings of the original Insensรฉ (which I wasn't impressed by)This Ultramarine version is actually more interesting and brighter i a way, but noting I will use on a daily basis. Its' sharp flowery/aquatic and smells a bit synthetic and cheap. Leaning somewhat feminine too...After it settles down it smell kind of fresh like a strong shampoo or hairspray..... sort of.
Doesn't smell like typical blue fragrances. Love the incense & floral touch. Easily last whole day. My favourite blue perfume
I very much agree with the owner of the second evaluation in everything he said. Beware of buying this very bad product, which has become industrially trivial in the sense of the word. It is not the same as it was in the nineties.
had been keeping an empty bottle in a drawer for many years as Givenchy's Insense was one of my top 3 favourites EVER. Assuming this is not a knock off it is a bad remodel of the original, smells like cheap deodorant + lingers in a bad way; there's a very artificial element that dominates all other notes; can't use it.
