Good solid knife. I already have a set and just required a replacement 11cm knife as my one went missing. Can't go wrong with Global knives.
Well balanced small paring knife and very sharp. Surprisingly almost too sharp when stringing beans as it unintentionally cuts right through the bean tip with little resistance. I like the stiffness off the blade which is mainly why I bought it. I have a similar size Japanese knife (different brand) with a much more flexible blade and these two compliment each other well for different uses. Highly recommended.
I have been using this knife for some years, I have three on the go at any given time and use them for preparation of all vegetables and fruit.. It is very comfortable for my small hands. A person with larger hands might prefer the larger utility knife, but this is perfect for me. Because of its small size it has been known to be thrown out into the compost with the peelings, but it turns up later. A good scrub and its like new again!
It is early days but I am very pleased with this knife. Very sharp and good weight and balance, it feels natural to hold and use. I hope it's quality lasts. I had to peel a butternut squash to make soup and this knife halved the time I usually spend on the job of cutting off the tough skin of this awkwardly shaped item.

This knife has proven to be highly versatile. It can be used to prepare vegetables for the evening meals, cutting sandwiches for lunches to trimming and preparing meat. It retains a good edge that can be honed back to razor sharpness with the appropriate Global sharpening steel. The blade and handle are one piece which eliminates and residue issues. Highly recommended and should last for years if treated properly.
This was purchased to replace a knife in a set. These knives are of very good quality and retain a keen edge. Using the Global sharpener occasionally keeps the edges in great condition.
