So far, this is a really great keyboard. Some thoughts though: 1) there is no caps lock or num lock indicator. 2) the supplied stabs are OK, but I would recommend upgrading them. 3) a positive through the Core software is easy to use, and does have a solution for the caps lock indicator (but it uses the leds on the sides of the keyboard. In s brightly lit room these may not be visible.)I do recommend this board though. The build quality is very nice and it sounds good without modding.

First time ordering and had a few deal breaking issues. From factory they had busted a screw head connecting the PCB to the plate making it impossible to open it up to modify. Their support team was great in responding, but I didnât get a full refund, maybe it was in their policy? I paid a few extra dollars (~$5) to reorder the same GMMK2 barebones and the new board came in great condition. Another issue was my Left alt, left shift, left windows/command key all acted like toggle keys rather than hold inputs. Their website for bios flashing their keyboard comes in hex decimal code for whatever reason and not formatted to actually use, but I managed to factory reset the board (the toggle issue may have been unrelated since I factory reset my PC and it worked after.) ... MoreFirst time ordering and had a few deal breaking issues. For some reason the left shift key for some reason inputs as a right shift key, so in every game I have to rebind the shift key, but this might be unique to me. Although this case was true for both the GMMK2âs I have tried.

If youâre looking for a sign to hit the checkout button, THIS IS IT!!!!This thing is AWESOME! Where else can you get a hella decent priced barebones keyboard that has AMAZING QUALITY? Also the fact that if you want switches from somewhere else, theyâll work with it! Youâre not restricted to proprietary switch with this board. Like Aladdin and Jasmine said in that one movie, âA WHOLE NEW WORRRLLLLDDDDDâHighly impressed with my purchase and itâs also made me want to buy a mouse đ.
First off, it's an amazing barebones kit for the price. It comes with a weight at the bottom along with case and PCB foam, making the keyboard quite hefty even with just the switches installed. In my opinion it rivals with enthusiast grade boards for a fraction of the price. Personally for a thockier feel, I like to add an additional layer of foam along with the PCB foam, as well as other basic mods (i.e bandage mod, holee mod, tape mod, clipping stabs). Nonetheless, whether you're an enthusiast or just someone who wants a step up from an overpriced gaming keyboard prebuilt, the GMMK 2 is the choice for you.
This thing as an opener to custom keyboards (provided that its a barebones kit) is an excellent choice to start with and use (and abuse) for a while before going full custom and building from the ground up keyboards! For the price glorious did a wonderful job, being hotswap and all aluminium for $80 with dedicated software is a steal.
Keyboard, switches, key caps and tools all feel great. Love my first âcustom buildâ so far
I love everything about my keyboard. Its my first one like it and it was very easy to put together and get it set up. I am already planning on buying more keycaps soon.
I absolutely love this keyboard! I assembled it with Gateron Brown stitches and some keycaps from Glorious and I am obsessed. I feel super comfortable editing and gaming on this keyboard, and the sound⊠impeccable. Would highly recommend a million percent!
Sturdy and impressive! I canât believe that Iâve spent nearly 3 decades working in IT and never considered what it would be like to upgrade something I use every day. And let me tell you⊠this hits the spot!
