Glow Recipe Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser 30 ml

Listen, I get it. $40 moisturizer is insane. Trust me when I say I’ve tried tons and tons of brands. I’m drawn to kbeauty for sure, and this brand is by far the best I’ve tried. My skin is finally cleared up, acne is gone. I’m primarily using this brand, with the Inkey List Salicylic Acid dash wash and Super Goop sunscreen. I attribute my skin clearing up to this brand as I’ve used the face wash and sunscreen combo with other brands too and haven’t seen such results.I like this cleanser, I do. It smells nice and is very gentle. This wash is extremely gentle. The wash is a clear gel wash with a nice scent. The scent smells like a mix between blueberries and lavender to me. This has ingredients to help combat signs of aging, calm irritated skin and helps hydrate. The wash also has AHA’s and hyaluronic acid. This can be used as a regular wash or a 5 min wash off mask. To use as the 5 min wash off mask you apply a generous amount to dry clean skin. Next wait at least 5 minutes then rise with warm water. The foaming bubbles help remove makeup and oils but as a wash off mask it removed ALL of my makeup. I did not get a lot of bubbles as a regular wash but it does remove oils and dirt. Glow recipe has amazing products and their rewards program is definitely worth it!

I love this gentle cleaner. I mainly use it as an alternative to using a cleansing balm, on the days that I have very little/light makeup on and do not need the help of a thick balm or remover. It’s very gentle but lathers up really nicely. It takes off all of my eye and face makeup really well and leaves my skin clean but never stripped. I do usually go in with a second more treatment based cleanser whenever I wash off my makeup. It has a nice smell of blueberry without being overpowering and bothersome to your nose. I really enjoy it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice, gentle cleanser! Price point is average for what it does and the size. I do believe that they make a smaller size in this product- as they do for most of their products.

i first used this product when I purchased the glow babies bundle and I truly have not used a better cleanser. When dispensed, it looks a little silicony and hold its shape kind of like a gel cleanser but as you work it into your hands it builds a soft, not too sudsy, foam/liquid. A little hard to explain but when applied it is a dream to work and massage into my face. It’s soft and foams just enough to create a fresh, cleansing sensation. I have dry to very dry skin and I notice with ANY kind of foaming face wash, even those that claim to foam, yet hydrate, I still feel stripped and dry after rinsing and patting my face dry. Before this cleanser I religiously used the cera ve hydrating cleanser, with the more oily/melting texture that many hydrating cleansers present. Yet, I never felt fully refreshed after using the cera ve. I longed for cleansers that foamed because they truly do feel more refreshing, especially after a long day and possible build up from morning products. I was never able to use one though, because every one I tried left me with the dry, stripped feeling as mentioned before. Not sure if it was the cleanser, but, after using glow recipe products (about 2-3 products on a daily basis) I have DEFINITELY seen an amazing difference.One thing for sure about the cleanser in particular (with my experience) is it’s not formulated with heavy chemical properties trying to fight issues like acne prone skin, anti-aging, etc. yet i feel as though because Glow Recipe is very clean with amazing clean ingredients, the results really do come in the long run by guiding your skin through it’s tough times gently and effectively while maintaining its clean feel and experience.Overall, I can see this product being truly great for all skin types.

Harsh, eye stinging & very drying cleanser

Glow Recipe have some amazing products, however this cleanser isn’t one of them! The texture is a plush feeling gel that foams up nicely & I actually enjoy the blueberry scent, unfortunately that’s about as much positives I can say. This cleanser is horribly drying & sensitising! There’s definitely nothing ‘gentle’ about it! This inflamed my skin, made it drier than the Sahara desert and stripped it if any moisture it had. On top of making my skin zapped of any hydration, this stung my eyes soooo bad! I ended up having to replace my contact lenses & flush out my eyes with drops. Probably one of the worst cleansers I’ve used in recent years, I’m glad I only bought the travel size.

It's been a year and I love it!

I've been using this product for about a year now and it's been one of the few that have helped me tackle my ongoing acne issues that I had for years. My skin is more clear than it ever has been. I see a lot of reviews saying it has dried out others skin. I have very dry skin naturally, and I don't find this as all. I don't use much, a little goes a long way. I use it both at night and in the morning. My winter day routine is a bit different. At night I use the Glow Toner (if my skin is too dry from the day I skip it) with a separate overnight cream (still trying to find one I love, in the summer I just use the Glow overnight one). In the morning I use the glow drops and lighter glow moisturizer with it. I just want to reiterate, the cleanser has nothing to do with my dry skin... it's just very dry in general.Everyone's skin is different but it's worth a try, even if you have dry skin, I wouldn't let the 1 star reviews sway you. It might just depend on what else you're using with it. I have tried so many different cleansers and can honestly say I do love the feel of this; it's so light, smells great, my skin feels incredibly fresh after and not oily. Once again, I attribute it in being a big part of fighting my ongoing acne issues. Incredibly grateful for this product!

Not Every Product Will Work For Your Skin

I love Glow Recipe, especially the crisp fruity fragrances. It makes my skincare routine feel that much more luxurious. Sadly this cleanser is definitely not for me. I have very dry skin, so I prefer gentle gel cleansers like this one but it left my skin very tight and feeling overly stripped. It is wonderful that a cleanser could have a little more stretch than expected but every time I’ve used it, I had to spend much longer rinsing it off than any other cleanser I’ve used. If not, it would foam up again after applying any other product I’d put on my face. It was like I was washing my face over and over again just trying to get the cleanser off. It’s not the product for me, and if you have dry skin it may not be the cleanser for you.

It’s not a bad cleanser, but there’s a few ways I wished it was different. Firstly, I wish it was easier to lather/ foam up. My holy grail cleanser foams up a ton, and I believe that an attribute like this is great for my skin type. Though I was hoping it’d be foamy-er, I get that this is made for many skin types and that lathering isn’t for everyone. Next thing I’d like to address is the smell. It isn’t terrible, it smells like bubbles I’d play with when I was little. But the thing I’m concerned with is the irritation caused by the scent. Other than those two things, it’s a good cleanser. I use the glow recipe bha toner and vitamin c serum and i am absolutely in love. I decided to try this cleanser after my success with these other products but unfortunately it’s not for me. I originally purchased it in winter when my skin is already more sensitive than usual and my skin was burning while using it and afterward a bit red and irritated.I decided to re-purchase in the springtime when my skin is normal and wayyy less dry.
