Glow Recipe Mini Watermelon Glow BHA + PHA Pore-Tight Facial Toner - Mild Exfoli

I have a thing for toners that I can’t explain, so of course when I stumbled across glow recipe and that beautiful packaging, I knew my wallet was in danger!! 🤣🤣 I softened the fall by picking out the travel sizes tho 😉. Let’s start off with the fact that not only is the packaging beautiful, the scent is amazing! If you aren’t into fruity/candy scents this isn’t for you, it’s similar to a jolly rancher but less artificial and more pleasant in my opinion. I have combination skin and tend to get oily in my t-zone, however this product I feel helps balance out my skin and it feels comfortable. I love pouring some on my hands and patting it on my face, I’ll also point out you waste no product by applying it this way! Bottom line— will definitely repurchase as this is my new favorite toner, it’s hydrating, comfortable and it doesn’t break me out. Over the course of 2 weeks it’s made my skin look beautiful and healthy! ❤️

This toner is perfection! Yes, like so many others have said this does smell amazing, but this toner does so much more than just smell fantastic... This toner has the most incredible, bouncy texture. It isn't thin and watery, but it isn't thick and sticky either. It's somewhere in the middle. It does have a bit of that slip that the thicker toners tend to have but it's also really light, absorbs quickly and is super hydrating. It feels amazing going on (and it's fun to tap your finger on it and see/play with the consistency. I've never encountered it's equal and I've tried hundreds of toners!) The exfoliating properties of this toner are very gentle (I have somewhat sensitive skin and had no issues) and they start making you look glowy after just a few uses. I had previously received this product as a free sample, which came in an opaque, pink plastic pump. I am a regular user of Tonique Confort, an ultra humectant honey infused toner. In comparison, this Watermelon toner is way more viscous and waterlight. There is however a springy texture to this toner that grips onto the skin as you apply, creating a nourishing and plumping hydration effect that anchors deep into the skin. This toner features Hyaluronic Acid as the key humectant for its penetrating and moisture retaining properties. As the title suggests, the formula also consists of an exfoliating factor in the form of PHA and BHA. Through the concurrent hydrating and exfoliating properties of these special ingredients, the product’s well-balanced dual purpose is achieved. I was a bit nervous to try this again, because I remember there being a slight warning regarding the BHA for new users. However, the soothing benefits of the watermelon extract (which smells like heavenly fruit candy) and cactus water delicately counteract any possible irritation. While I personally wish for a thicker consistency, this is a wonderful and widely acclaimed toner that creates an enhanced absorption of the skincare steps to follow. This is a one-of-a-kind toner that you really have to try at least once!

I have been using the Glow Recipe line since 2020 because of the pandemic and having maskne from wearing one for 12+ hours. I’m finally getting around to writing a review! “3 years later…” I have dryness around my undereyes, nose and corners of my mouth and oily on my forehead, cheeks and chin.I started using this as my first step/toner. I don’t use a cottonpad to apply - just a few drops on my palms and spread like lotion. It feels so soothing and it’s like a massage for your face.I usually follow up with serums - I use the Guava Vit C, Avocado serum, Niacinamide and then a day cream with retinol and hyaluraunic acid (this last one isn’t GR, it’s the Azure brand).Holy grail for my skin and now I don’t use foundation! It’s Been 3 Months - It’s Hydrating, Undecided On Other Benefits

I’m giving this product four stars because overall, it’s a good, hydrating toner, but I am still undecided on what else it does for my skin. The first time I used it was when I purchased the Fruit Babies Bestsellers Kit (a kit which I absolutely recommend people try since it gives you a good sampling of Glow Recipe products) back in August. Then, once that sample ran out, I bought the mini version because I still wasn’t sure if I wanted to commit to the full size. I know the BHA & PHA in this toner is supposed to benefit my pores, but I honestly haven’t noticed any big differences from the toner itself (I deal with blackheads, enlarged pores, and acne). With that being said, I also haven’t experienced any negatives effects from using the toner either. And additionally, I will note that my acne as a whole has improved since I started using Glow Recipe products in general. Although I still break out, it happens a lot less. Whether that can be attributed to this specific toner or the entire watermelon line (which I use) I’m not sure, but that is why I’ve continued repurchasing. I’ve seen raving reviews for this specific product though, and several people have said it helped clear their blackheads, so i’d say it’s worth giving a try and seeing for yourself, especially since the mini is only $15.

I am so happy that I have finally purchased this toner! I’m 42 years old and I noticed my skin’s quite dry and all the serum, toners, and creams I tried doesn’t help. I heard good things about Glow Recipe and Korean beauty in general. I have no issue with wrinkles or sun damage but as I age I noticed a significant amount of dryness and some uneven texture, I didn’t have 5+ years ago. I’m mainly combination skin that leans more towards dry now. I do have some breakout once a month on my chin. This toner is honestly magic in a bottle. To test this toner I only did the bare minimal of my morning and night skincare routine. I only double cleansed, this watermelon glow toner, and lastly sunscreen. This toner alone helped my skin feel smoother, softer, my pores (especially on my nose) look smaller. I have somewhat sensitive skin (can get rashes when introducing new products my skin does not like). I have no issue with fragrance but usually only lean toward fragrance free products but I don’t mind watermelon scent. I am so loving this toner and will continue purchasing and will add new Glow Recipe products to my skincare routine soon.

I was mainly purchasing it for the exfoliation properties of the PHA+BHA, however it also ended up being SUPER hydrating (not like overbearing and pore-clogging though). It feels super light and refreshing, especially if you have a beauty fridge to keep your skincare cold, but even without the use of one it still feels so good. It makes my skin feel so clean and fresh when used right after cleansing (especially in the mornings. Glow Recipe watermelon products hit different when you've just woken up and wanna feel like a Pinterest-esque beauty vlogger). What I especially like is that it has the perfect amount of everything; again, it was hydrating but not too hydrating. The PHA+BHA that exfoliate and brighten did so without being too harsh on my skin (which was one of my fears and the reason why I usually opt for AHA over PHA or BHA). If you're scared to use it because of skin sensitivity, don't be! I'm a teenager so my skin is still a little reactive but this product caused no issues and made my skin better than before. I first used it when I got it a few years ago, but then puberty was like "lol yeah I'm gonna make you look like a cheese and bacon roll" and so I stopped using it out of fear that it was the cause of my newly developed skin sensitivity and reactiveness. I recently bought it again, however, and it works wonders! I've been trying not to over-exfoliate in an attempt to heal my skin barrier (I recommend korean beauty products for this if you have the same issue because I've noticed that popular skincare brands there tend to focus more on hydrating and building the skin barrier for preventative purposes rather than dehydrating to limit blemishes despite it just being a short-term solution because it risks weakening the skin barrier like some western products do) but this was gentle and hydrating enough to exfoliate without damaging my skin barrier, thus not impacting the protection from irritants and whatever outside dangers that cause breakouts. Anyways, I love it and you should too. It's like my holy grail.

I have lots of the glow recipe range so thought I’d give this a go. First week all was okay, slightly tightening effect on my skin but the rest of the range balanced the tight feeling out. Second week had swelling on one cheek and by the end of the week this had turned into a large dry skin patch, stopped using it and over the course of a weekend this dry and swollen area had spread to cover both cheeks and the under eye area on both sides. This caused extreme swelling to both eyes and my skin ended up red raw , so sore I was unable to touch it. I don’t normally suffer allergic reactions to any product , but the swelling and burnt feeling was so bad I had to visit my doctors who gave me cream and tablets to calm everything down.
