My preference - Vitamin C 1000 mg - 500 Caplets

Since Linus Pauling touted mega-dosing vitamin C, my family, now me, for my family, has been taking 1000mg of Vit. C every day. For me, it makes most sense to purchase a large quantity to be most economical. This particular container has proved to be ideal for my family. I prefer tablets and chewables (for sore throats), preferable to caplets. Conveniently, the two types are sent every 6 months, free shipping.

The time-release effect

I really appreciate the vitamin C time-release 1000 mg tabs that GNC offers. I have been taking those vitamins for a long time and the time-release effect of the vitamin works very well for me giving me the extra boost of energy needed for my extra long days and keeping my health at maximum wellness. GNC's time-release vitamin B works in the same manner as your C vitamin and I take those as well. Keep up with the good work of offering the time-release versions of those vitamins as I certainly can feel the difference when taking the time-release types. This review is from a happy consumer of your products. Sincerely from Consuello Giba of Moreno Valley, CA

Unnecessary and toxic ingredients!

What happened to GNC quality? Now they are litterally putting toxic substances in their products. This Vitamin C used to have as "other" ingredients; cellulose, vegetable acetoglycerides, rose hips powder, and nothing else. Now the list is ridiculous, and even includes as the first ingredient Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, which according to a website; "Do not take hydroxypropyl methylcellulose by mouth. If hydroxypropyl methylcellulose is put in the mouth or swallowed, call a doctor or poison control center right away." I will be sourcing all my supplements from a reputable company from now on. GNC just lost a loyal customer of 20 years.

I take two capsules a day.As you know, after taking vitamin C 2000mg/day1)I feel less fatigued2) My skin gets better and brighter3) My disease, stomach acid reflux, also seems to have improvedCurrently, all five members of my family take it, but there seems to be no side effects for three months yetThe reason I chose the GNC vitamin was because I wanted to choose the company's product that was the most reliable to take in mega doses

Vitamin C is a well-known nutrient to help protect you from colds and coughs. This happens because Vitamin C improves the immune system by increasing the product of white blood cells and thus keeping infection at bay. Vitamin C, is a water soluble vitamin, which means our body cannot store or produce it, and should be provided daily from the external food sources. Some natural sources of vitamin C include amla, guava, lemon, kiwi, capsicum, cabbage etc. Doctors are also recommending vitamin C dietary supplements to help boost our vitamin C levels in our body during the time of severe infection. GNC Vitamin C 1000 mg also contains rose hips and citrus bioflavonoids for higher nutritive value. Bioflavonoids along with Vitamin C are important as it helps protect vitamin C from being oxidized. Rose hips are natural source of vitamin C and also contain naturally occurring bioflavonoids. GNC Vitamin C 1000 mg is made using time-released formula. It is suitable for vegetarians.
