Flash is good for the money you pay for it. Refresh time sometimes is a miss also compared to the ones I already own and use only on battery: 2x AD600BM, AD600 Pro & AD400 Pro, it definitely miscommunicates sometimes with the trigger/ the other flashes and doesn't pop/flash. For AC/cable powered flash you would usually expect a bit quicker refresh than battery powered but oh well, as I mentioned, it does the job.

Good value for money. Built quality is a nice and seems reliable. But strobe is very big and heavy. The locker which is mounting on a light stand, is really strong, but I don't know how it will last long.Back side of the strobe is pretty good. Operations is fast and easy to use.New Led modeling system is okey, would be better to having a little more power.Sometimes system can't get new power settings information and fires full power.It has some downside for me. Kelvin is not accurate and constant. Often it fires 4600 kelvin or 5000kelvin light indoors. That is very anoyng to correct each photos temperatures in lightrom one by one.

I'm converting over to all Godox because they are reasonably pricedand they offer great versatility. These are for the studio but I have (5)AD 400 flashes, too ! Also, B&H offers GREAT SUPPORT !!!
I bought these to replace my aging White Lightning studio lights. They are very easy to work with, especially the built in wireless receivers. I would highly recommend these flashes and I plan to buy a few more soon.
I am using various godox wireless triggers, such as XPro and X1/X2 on Canon, the ETTL function does not work on this strobe. I suspect that this strobe is so new that it is not fully supported by the various 2.4 wireless triggers. In theory, the built-in 2.4 receiver should mean that all you need besides the strobe is a transmitter. Unfortunately the built in receiver can only fire, not do any exposure compensation for example. Otherwise the LED modeling lamp is nice, the flash tube itself is traditional. Seeing that this brand has over a dozen similar indistinguishable models, means confirming compatibility is frustrating. The support is only email to china, so questions cannot be resolved in a reasonable time.
Very easy to use with built-in wireless remote using a Godox X-Pro controller. I was very confused about the differences between all the different Godox monolight models. The III series has a larger power setting range over the II series allowing for more precise flash duration control. More power, with a modeling lamp, and priced less than an equivalent Speedlight.
Just like others that have posted reviews about this light, The modeling lamp burnt out within the first 10 seconds. I hope that that's the only thing that goes wrong over time. The overall exterior construction is well-built, definitely has that feel of quality. Really seems like you get a lot for the price.
This was a very last minute purchase. B&H had a sale on this item and although I have never used strobe (own several godox speedlites) but always wanted to. Like we all do, I went on YouTube looked up some reviews and tutorials.These went on sale at the right time and I couldn't let them go. I'm glad I went for it because it's truly a game changer! The modeling light is a gem in photography in general. All these years I've been shooting in the dark loll
I own three Godox sk400ii flashes. I bought this one on sale for $10 more than I paid for the sks. This is a much better unit. The power output can be reduced to 1/64 rather than the 1/16 of the sks. Also, the bracket that holds the flash and mounts to the light stand is metal, not plastic like the sks. This is a much sturdier unit. My next purchase will be a DP III not an SK.
