Goldair 40cm Select Pedestal Fan

I have had many Goldair fans. This one went on special and I thought it was time to upgrade. I received the fan quickly from Hifi Corp. It's easy to assemble but quality is poor. The base cover doesn't sit flush. The fan is very unbalanced and shakes on start and stop. The neck with oscillator is wobbly so the combination results in a jerky left to right oscillation and continues shaking the shroud through every motion. The fan power is fairly good so if you can handle the shakes and rattles at speed 3 it will definitely move the air. Admittedly I will not buy another. I also doubt the fan will make 6 months so hopefully the warranty is good. It's a pity Goldair quality has fallen.

Almost like aurcon

Purchased this fan for my mum as she doesnt have aircon and it is so good that i purchased one for myself as well. My aircon doesnt reach the bedrooms in house so it can get pretty hot, however, even if you dont have aircon, this fan will 100% cool you down. Cant go wrong with this one. Only downside is its kind of loud, but its so worth it!

Cheap and very good quality!

I am very happy I did purchase this product because it is very cheap and very good quality. It comes with a remote control which my husband really likes. We are using it everyday since I bought it a month ago and it is still in great working condition. It is very quiet and very sturdy also. It is lightweight also, we can move it around from bedroom to dining/living area easily. I am planning to buy another one for our dining/living area

Decent fan on a budget

Relatively quiet and generates a good breeze. Fairly easy to assemble, although the instruction booklet is very unclear and structured in paragraphs instead of diagrams. Bought one for my daughter's room and came back to get another one for myself.

Failed after 4 months

Purchased in December 2019. It worked well at first with my only gripe being the too bright red lights. Only used it for summer and then stored it until November. After a few weeks it started to squeak, and shortly after it ceased up completely.I know this is a cheap fan, but failing after 4 months of actual use is pathetic. Spend a little more and get something better.

Money well spent

It’s a great pedestal fan. Easy to assemble. Three speeds- Silent operation. Comes along with a Remote that selects the Speeds and the oscillation. Full value for money. Highly Recommended.

Perfect Fan

This fan is perfect for its purpose, and that is to provide cooling in a small bedroom which has neither air-conditioning nor ceiling fans. It is quiet, has a remote which allows easy use without having to get out of bed, and it is very light for transporting to another room.

Silver pedestal fan

A beautiful sleek, minimalist looking fan, and silver colour a bit different. Three speed fan settings. The lowest setting is rather too forceful and noisy for overnight cooling in the bedroom which is what I wanted, so I would say this fan is better suited to a larger area.

Simple cooling fan without any bells and whistles.

Don't want wifi connection, remote control or annoying lights? Then this simple fan is for you. Easy to put together. It cools well and is fairly quiet. I use it in my bedroom while sleeping.

noisy fan

This fan sounds like a an aircraft is taking off! too loud for a quiet bedroom. The remote has a tiny tiny tiny screw in it so if you don't have the right screwdriver you can't insert the batteries.Powerful fan speeds.
