Golden Circle Canned Pineapple Slices in Syrup 450g

The Golden Circle pineapple slices in syrup are tasty and high quality, but sickly sweet. Suitable for us in a recipe rather than as a dessert topping unless you are a big fan of sweetness. I used them for something different in a hummingbird cake and they were delectable.

It had the perfect balance of sweet and sour. Having it in syrup did make the pineapple softer than what I prefer, however it did make the perfect addition to a ham and cheese pizza. I prefer pineapple in rings, so that was great, but due to the softness it fell apart too quickly for me. I ate it as it was, so I could get the texture and flavour. I then added to a home made pizza which tasted amazing. In terms of storage, because I didn't use the whole lot, I had to repackage it into a sealable container so not to waste it. That's the only issue I have with tinned goods. Overall it's pineapple and I love pineapple.

Easy to open with ring pull top. The juice was full to the top keeping the pineapple slices covered in its natural juices. All slices were same size in diameter and width. I poured the juice Into a cup and the grandkids loved the taste. I grilled the pineapple ring's on the BBQ and they were delicious. Great tasting. The Centre core was all removed and no outer skin left on. Extremely happy with the pineapple slices.

Golden Circle Pineapple Slices are so versatile, you can have them whole or slice/crush them depending on the dish. They are soft enough with just the right amount of crunch and a good balance of sweet without them being overly sweet. We sliced ours and added them to home made pizzas and they were a great addition!

The slices were extra juicy and sweet without being to sugary. The syrup I used to make a jelly with and it added extra flavour. I really enjoy the taste of the pineapple in both sweet and savoury meals. There were 6 slices so only needed four for dessert so used the left over two the following night on a homemade pizza. I air fryed the 4 slices and added some vanilla ice cream for a refreshing and easy to prepare dessert. Certainly a hit with the family and tasty too.

I like the colourful packaging, it attracts you to buy it I reckon. The pull top ring making it efficient for the time poor. Juicy, fresh and full of flavour! Soft texture that just slides down the throat leaving a sweet fruity flavour for hours. I liked using it to complement our dinner dishes by making the perfect Hawaiian chicken schnitzel & a pineapple sauce/gravy for my pork chops. When you only have to grab a can because the works all done it makes life a little easier. I would recommend to anyone who loves to eat pineapple!

The tin is easily identifiable on the shelf and easy to open. Inside are a number of pineapple slices in a syrup base. Pineapple was juicy, a vibrant colour and held together well. Its taste was fresh on the pallet and left you wanting more. I used this product as a dessert served with ice cream and it was loved by young and old alike. Highly recommend this product

Golden Circle Australian Pineapple Slices in Syrup have a beautiful flavour that is refreshing and tasty to eat. These pineapple slices are a staple and incredibly versatile. They can eaten as a snack, on a burger or on top of a pizza. These pineapple slices were fresh and delicious. The juice was also delicious and refreshing. I love that they are an Australian brand and that the product is conveniently sliced allowing for the product to be enjoyed without the hassle of chopping up a pineapple. The pineapple was soft to eat and incredibly easy to use. Easy to grill on the bbq to enjoy on a burger and the throw on top of a pizza to cook. Golden Circle has always been a staple in my pantry.

This canned fruit was warmly welcomed by the family... it's a quick and convenient solution to get more fibre in our diets. We made a pineapple crumble with the can of pineapples. We didn't have to add any extra sugar given the syrup in the fruit. The final product had the right level of sweetness, buttery topping with spiced, juicy pineapple pieces. Was a nice after dinner dessert for the family especially when served with vanilla ice cream.

Golden Circle® Australian Pineapple Slices in Syrup is a delicious & light snack. It can be eaten by itself or whipped up into a delicious creation. I liked the softness of the pinapple. The sweetness was good also (possibly a little less sugar for me). The packaging was attractive & distinct & easy to spot in the supermarket. I used this in a homeade pizza with cheese & tomato - tasted amazing. I also ate it plain for breakfast. Would definitely purchase this as a substitute for fresh pineapple.
