I use Golden Fluid acrylics in my work. I paint full time and am grateful to say I'm a proffessional artist. I can rely on Golden paints to be consistent is all respects. I have never had any problems with Golden paint. I have tried other brands but know that when I have important work to make, I use Golden Fluid Acrylics. The qulity of the finish is so good that I do not have to varnish. The metallics have a wonderful sheen to them, I love all of them. Each time I make an order, which is at least once a month, I order a new pigment to try. The only color I have been disappointed in was the Dioxizine Purple. I found that Liquitex makes a better Diox Purple than Golden...prettier.

This transfer paper makes my life sooo much easier when it comes to transferring my drawings to a prepared wood panel. As the box says, you really can use a sheet many times (I've used one 8x0" sheet three times so far, without losing the quality of the traced drawing. The lines are super crisp, and you don't have to press ridiculously hard.My only issue is with the white transfer paper on dark backgrounds - you do have to be super, super careful about not smudging it, and some white particles do scatter/adhere to the surface. If you're painting the background, not an issue! But I like to leave the wood exposed for some paintings, so I have to be very careful in this situation because I can't just paint over smudges. In this situation, the lines also erase fine, but removing eraser bits from the surface becomes tricky when you're trying not to smudge, and when you're using clear gesso (which is very gritty). If I were using white gesso I'm sure it would be easier. I'll try the graphite paper on dark surfaces next, with the hope that I can see the lines well enough on a dark surface, but also that smudges/bits of transfer pigment are not as easily seen.

I like to use this paint on smooth surfaces such as gesso board, but it works great on well sanded canvas as well. The pigment is very rich, just a tiny bit on the tip of the brush can produce beautiful color that goes a surprisingly long way on the canvas. I do use a slightly thicker titanium white from another brand when I am trying to mask an area to paint over, as the white from these Golden fluid paints sometimes requires 2 coats in my experience. A wet palette is highly recommended, because these spread thin on the palette and as such dry very quickly. I like that I can paint almost like gouache without having to thin the paint with a medium or water like I would with heavy body acrylics.
