I use Golden Fluid acrylics in my work. I paint full time and am grateful to say I'm a proffessional artist. I can rely on Golden paints to be consistent is all respects. I have never had any problems with Golden paint. I have tried other brands but know that when I have important work to make, I use Golden Fluid Acrylics. The qulity of the finish is so good that I do not have to varnish. The metallics have a wonderful sheen to them, I love all of them. Each time I make an order, which is at least once a month, I order a new pigment to try. The only color I have been disappointed in was the Dioxizine Purple. I found that Liquitex makes a better Diox Purple than Golden...prettier.

Awesome product, but careful with certain gessoed surfaces

In this situation, the lines also erase fine, but removing eraser bits from the surface becomes tricky when you're trying not to smudge, and when you're using clear gesso (which is very gritty). If I were using white gesso I'm sure it would be easier. I'll try the graphite paper on dark surfaces next, with the hope that I can see the lines well enough on a dark surface, but also that smudges/bits of transfer pigment are not as easily seen.

Extremely rich pigment, a little goes a long way.

I like to use this paint on smooth surfaces such as gesso board, but it works great on well sanded canvas as well. The pigment is very rich, just a tiny bit on the tip of the brush can produce beautiful color that goes a surprisingly long way on the canvas. I do use a slightly thicker titanium white from another brand when I am trying to mask an area to paint over, as the white from these Golden fluid paints sometimes requires 2 coats in my experience. A wet palette is highly recommended, because these spread thin on the palette and as such dry very quickly. I like that I can paint almost like gouache without having to thin the paint with a medium or water like I would with heavy body acrylics. I am a convert to Golden fluid acrylics
13 July 2024

#sweepstakes...my first purchase of Golden fluid acrylics. The bottle is only 1 ounce but I think it will go far. As usual from Blick, everything I ordered came quickly and the order was spot on. Now for the paint. It is wonderful, both in color and application. I may be spoiled already. Price was right and selection was huge.

I highly recommend and will absolutely purchase again!

This unique color red with a hint of orange behind it is great for mixing and surprisingly opaque for a fluid body! I've always used acrylics to paint with, but am new to the Golden Fluid Acrylic line. It's unbelievable how superior this line of paints are compared to every other acrylic I've ever used! They are more expensive than some other options, but if you do a side by side test, the results will tell you Golden fluid wins every time.#sweepstakes

I didn't think I would love this color as much as I do. Makes wonderful glazes, mixtures and has a great color profile to it. The paint is quality and you don't need much to paint a good amount. It's now one of my regular colors.#blicksweepstakes

Outstanding!
8 April 2024

I bought several additional colors as I already had a mixing set. Absolutely LOVE them all! Colors are always so vibrant and have outstanding viscosity and coverage. The fluid acrylics by Goldeb are my #1. Soft body are a close second. But every product I've gotten both from Blick and Golden have been stellar. Sure you pay a bit more but definitely worth it! A little goes a long way!

SO surprised how much I LOVED these
20 February 2020

I do not usually enjoy Acrylics, I have frustrations with it's properties so most of my art is done with watercolors, soft pastels and oils. Occasionally, I need to use acrylics, often for direct graphic applications. This is the case in a canvas I am painting for a school nurse's office. I am using very saturated colors for the most part, and on this fairly smooth, well gessoed surface, the hues are transparent and luminous. They jump off the canvas. I've never done anything that looks quite like this. The paint is quite liquid and I find a little goes a long way( you can put it out in drops) when using a good brush. Though I don't often paint like this, I will try to figure out ways to use these gorgeous pigments.

These make acrylic painting possible

I hated, HATED acrylics for years, constantly making new paintings in hope something would click and suddenly I would understand why people put up with such an awful medium. That is, until I tried a sample pack of these. These fluid acrylics are everything I had ever wanted with acrylics, with none of the downsides. I can make smooth, opaque, brilliantly vivid brushstrokes and fine details. They dry to an even, rich matte finish. Instead of fighting to make my colors brighter, with these my colors are almost TOO bright and beautiful out of the pot and I have to work to tone them down.No more trying to drag a weak and translucent mucousy blob of heavy body paint that's already dried to a tacky slime halfway though a brush stroke. No more trying to water down sticky ... MoreI hated, HATED acrylics for years, constantly making new paintings in hope something would click and suddenly I would understand why people put up with such an awful medium. But trust me, they're worth it.

Fluid Acrylics are highly intense, permanent acrylic colors with a consistency similar to heavy cream. Produced from lightfast pigments, not dyes, they offer very strong colors with very thin consistencies. No fillers or extenders are added and the pigment load is comparable to GOLDEN Heavy Body Acrylics.Unlike mixtures of heavy-bodied paints and water which produce weak color and films by dilution, Fluid Acrylics contain high pigment levels suspended in an acrylic polymer vehicle. The result offers fine dispersion, high tinting strength, durability, flexibility and good adhesion. Fluid Acrylics are ideal for spraying, brushing, staining, and can be mixed with other GOLDEN Products. Blend with Airbrush Medium for spray application. Excellent for fabric application.
