I've used these the majority of the 30 plus years I've been playing. Comfortable and reliable, I have been tinkering with the plus 4 model. Tried the MCC, liked it but the corded portion is a bit rough. Was trying to get the last out of a glove with a hole forming in palm section, by the end of the round had worn a large blister where skin came in contact with corded section. Went back to old reliable.

These were for my wife, I also use Golf Pride grips and have for many years. I have some old clubs that I have retired many years ago but the grips still feel great! Ive bought clubs that came with other brands but I found that some only will last 1 season and they are already peeling and crumbling.

I purchased 4 of the tour velvet mid-sized grips nd loved them. I just purchased 8 more to complete the rest of my set. The slight increase in size and the texture enabled me to relax my grip and obtain a more comfortable and even swing. I'm anxious to see how these grips hold up as the weather patterns change from spring to summer to fall.

I tried the tour velvet grips on my driver, woods, and wedges. I moved to a larger grip size and the difference in my grip and consistency is quite notable. The change to the tour velvet material and the mid-sized grip has provided me with a more comfortable and more relaxed consistent grip. I'm happy with the outcome and am now changing all my irons over to the tour velvet grip.
I picked the golf pride velvet tour midsize with 4 wraps on my new set of irons. I really liked the feel of these grips so I purchased the jumbo size for my driver and woods.(2wraps). The feel is terrific. There soft but just firm enough not to squeeze the grip. I normally do not wear a glove and have no problem keeping a good grip on the these. I do believe I will be sticking with these for awhile
I bought the Tour Velvet in undersize to regrip my 10 y/o sons clubs. He loves the grips. I really enjoy the feel as well. I just may regrip my clubs with the Tour velvets as well. I love the consistency of them and they aren't extremely rough like the chorded grips.
I purchased these grips on an emergency basis as my standard grip is the Golf Pride Tour Velvet .58 Ribbed but those aren’t sold in most places. So, in a pinch I purchased the GP Tour Velvet .60 Round grips and just adjusted the total grip thickness by using the appropriate amounts of masking tape. I used the round grips on the wedges as the rib ‘reminder’ isn’t really necessary on my wedges as I play many shots with an open or closed face depending on the grain, or the shot requirements. These grips are the number 1 grips used on the PGA Tour and that’s because of their feel and consistency. If the grips aren’t the right size, or don’t feel right, then it’s impossible to play your best of be consistent when hitting golf shots.
As senior golfer, I find the overall weight, grip, and softness of the Tour Velvet grip to be what I need. I use jumbo grips and many of the other styles add too much weight and tends to change the swing weight too much. The jumbo Tour Velvet grips are lighter and work for me. Apparently they work for many professionals, as well.
Love the grips, especially the Tour Velvet Super Tac (apparently I was the only one). 5 star grip, MINUS 1 star for putting the GP logo where I would prefer to have textured grip. It's the cheapest component of the club, but the logo is larger than the shaft bands and the manufacturer's club head logos. It's like I bought Golf Pride clubs. I've seen billboards along the interstate with smaller advertisements. How about we take a cue from the 360's and give us grip texture instead of logo space on the other grip families (MCC). It would be less distracting when I need to choke down on a club. Good golfers know good grips without the ginormous logo. I'll wager that they would like them more with textured grip instead of the logo.
I started using the tour velvet years ago after they quit making the green victory. I like the soft but firm feel and I use the .58 round one. I regrip my irons once a year ( I play about 100 rounds a year) and I regrip my driver and wedges about 3 times a year. These grips don't last as long as cord grips but I clean them regularly with Comet and water with a nylon brush and I get some extended wear on them.I have been using Golf Pride grips for over 50 years and they have always been consistently the best.I think one of the biggest mistakes golfers make is neglecting their grips.
