We purchased 2 of these to add to our Google Home Network. We have these in our living room. I went full Amazon Echo for a home theater recently. The software is just too buggy to put up with, so I returned it. I decided to try Google instead. I got a set of 2 and paired them up as a stereo. By the way, getting a second Nest speaker and pairing them is definitely worth it. The sound quality is amazing. I went into the equalizer in the app and turned the bass up all the way. It sounds like a pair of mid/high end bookshelf speakers.I also like Google because their software works much better than Amazon. That's especially true with Bluetooth. This is certainly a really great product, it provides quite a good balance of base and sound quality. For a small room to medium sized rooms you definitely can feel that base even with just having one speaker. I can only imagine what it might feel like if I had two of them paired up in a group. As far as talking to it, at first I did notice it was sometimes not responsive as quickly, but I retrained my voice and I turned up to sensitivity a little bit since the base and my distance was quite far away from the speaker. It has definitely improved and I think just the simple retraining of my voice has helped it. The quality does fill my whole bedroom up where I have the speaker, and even compared to the mini and the hub this is by far the loudest with bass and full ... The unit does have a little bit of weight so that does feel good and sturdy on a bookshelf or table. The colors are kind of strange in the way that you might think sand is sand, but it is more of a pinkish hue of sand, and the sage is I guess you could call it a greenish color whereas the blue which is a thing called sky blue or something and the other two white and black are as they would be. The main controls are basically on the top half so if you tap on the top middle you either play pause the track and then the left and right shoulders of the speakers will pretty much feel like the area you would touch for volume up or down towards the front and then you have the lights that signify the volume rate at which it set on. It is definitely easy to set up through the Google home app and you can customize the settings under the device settings once you have added it to a room or such. Left parentheses if you want to add it with another speaker remember to add it to the group right parentheses that will basically let you pair the two together and act like one big speaker.

Eventually, while actively using it, the connection drops so you can't control it anymore from your phone even if the music is still playing. Setting up speaker groups to listen to multiple speakers playing the same thing simultaneously barely ever works ... And if you're past the 1 year warranty, you're out of luck, you're stuck with a crappy speaker with unreliable 'smart' functions.

They work as a stereo pair for listening to music with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. They sound alright with Spotify. There is no noticeable improvement with Amazon HD uncompressed audio. I haven't been able to get them to support gapless playback so I listen to The Beatles on better equipment. There does not seem to be a way to connect them to the Chromecast with Google TV with Wi-Fi. Bluetooth has lag between the audio and video. They do not work well at all with Chromecast with Google TV. These could well be worth the price ($95 for a pair) if they simply had an analog input, RCA or 3.5 mm would not have added a dollar to production costs and would have made them excellent desktop or TV speakers, and much more versatile. They were an impulse buy, on sale, probably not worth what I paid, but I like them.

Really?).I was already really disappointed and wanted to throw it out of the window. I reset it and for now it seems ok.But then I thought: you know what? I don't really need to use Google assistant the whole time, so I turned the microphone off and then 4 orange dots appeared. At first I thought that they would disappear after some minutes, but actually no. As long as the mic is off, 4 permanent orange dots are gonna be displayed on the device. Just Google letting you know that they don't approve you trying to have some privacy. There is no option of turning them off.Google it's just a company that wants to make money. They put orange lights on the device just to 'force' you a little bit into not turning the microphone off. By doing that they just get more data from you talking in your own house. Interestingly the speakers play randomly some ads and this fact is described as a 'bug'.My only thought at this point is just the hope of living long enough to see capitalism (and Google) die.If you still haven't bought it, try to find something more fair.
