WORST PHONE EVER! I would not give even 1 star to this phone if I had option. Since, the day I have purchased this phone it has been nothing but just the problem. 4 months after purchasing it fell once and since then it has been giving me trouble. As soon as it fell it stopped working completely. I got it repaired for which I was charged another $100. The whole purpose of buying this phone was to have something which is cheaper than other phones but because of the poor quality of the phone you will rather end up spending more for its repairs. I would definitely not recommend this phone. This phone is an example of google not meeting up with its standards. Completely disappointed!

For the first time in nearly a decade I bought a non-Samsung phone because I couldn't stomach the price tag of the newest Galaxy and I thought the Pixel 4a looked like a great, more reasonably priced option. Well sure it's reasonably priced, but that's because the quality is much, much lower, apparently. After using it for only a few weeks it slipped out of my hand and landed on a soft floor, indoors, from just a couple feet off the ground and completely died. Like, it was completely dead when I picked it up, and would not turn back on. No signs of life whatsoever after troubleshooting with Verizon tech support. This was its first fall and it was protected by an armored case, so this should not have killed it. I had my previous phone (Galaxy S9) for 3 years and who knows how many times that thing hit the floor. I only upgraded because the Galaxy was getting slow and the battery would die quickly. But if I had known just how delicate the Pixel 4a is I never would have bought it. I have 2 kids and I know my phone is going to see more abuse in the future, so I have learned my lesson and I'm going back to Samsung. Also to be honest, I really wasn't that impressed by the Pixel in the first place anyway. The battery life and camera quality are just fine, but not nearly as high as I expected. What a disappointment over all.

After reading all the attributes of this particular phone, larger screen, bigger battery, headphone jack, I decided to get it. I couldn't find one through Verizon, and this one was advertised as a Verizon phone, so I ordered. This is a really nice phone. I was able to set it up easily through the on screen instructions. I had to go to the local Verizon store to get a sim card and to switch my account from my old S9. The salesperson was highly incensed that I didn't buy the phone from Verizon, and informed me that wi-fi calling would not be available. This was bad news since I don't have service at my home in the mountains. So I dug out my old network extender and plugged it in, but it couldn't find a signal. I finally got in touch with a live individual at Verizon ... MoreAfter reading all the attributes of this particular phone, larger screen, bigger battery, headphone jack, I decided to get it. I finally got in touch with a live individual at Verizon tech support, which was practically impossible, but she was able to link the network extender to my phone and everything seems to be working. To be on the safe side I got the Google Voice app and selected another number that works with wi-fi. So I'm all set, getting used to the phone. Everything is working great, but I'm having a hard time adjusting to not having a back button. Everything else, display features, camera, no Samsung bloatware, no Verizon payment plan, great price; super!
