The Pixel buds case has a very light, almost silicone-like coating on it, which would stop the case from sliding around or even out of a bag or something. Overall, these seem like a good value.

I do love that it has auto volume EQ so that when you turn the music up or down, it will automatically tune to keep the music balanced. I also love that the bluetooth is seamless when switching between my phone and my laptop when working. Overall, these earbuds are exceptional in their sound quality, features and design. I would highly recommend them for anyone searching for a new pair!

A great addition to the Pixel family. Pixel Buds Pro have an incredible range and capability built in their tiny package to comfortably fit for - in my case sometimes all workday long -hours on end and needing minimal attention along the way. The charge holds nicely and will go longer if not using the full noise cancellation ability. There's 3 gradients of noise reduction to choose from as well as multiple pre-set audio playback features including the ability to utilize Spatial Audio - where available - and head-tracking technology for a level of sound that I want to call Dolby Atmos, but honestly falls a little short and isn't technically the same technology. If you're a stickler for Dolby like I am, check out the LG TONE FREE T90Q earbuds which were the first to hit the market with official Dolby Atmos immersive integration and head tracking technology. The Pixel Buds Pro are no runner up, however. They hit every note on the scale in the way of functionality and practically unlimited usage. You can customize the touch settings to your liking, utilize Google Assistant with a simple "Hey Google," enable clear calling for background cancellation of excess white noise or other oddities. The Pixel Buds Pro app gives you a heads up on the health of your hearing overall in using the device and alerts to questionable levels that could do damage. There's even a built in alert you'll receive via push notification on your Pixel phone when they're in need of a good cleaning. They come with 3 sizes of buds to adjust to your needs, testing against a seal check in app for optimal sound quality. And more. Honestly, of all the great features and list of reasons to purchase these immediately - not lying, I have two for backup just in case - my favorite function in usage is the volume touch adjust feature. Most earbuds only offer a series of taps if you want to increase or decrease the volume where the Pixel Buds Pro were brilliant in the addition of a swipe movement over the device. Swipe to the front of you and it increases, swipe behind you and it decreases. It's insanely useful and makes one of many reasons you can utilize these in a completely independent situation away from your phone. With multi pair capability in fast-pairing Bluetooth updates you can easily switch between devices throughout your house effortlessly and intuitively. The Buds are smart enough to know when to hop off my Pixel, onto my Chromebook Plus, over to my Google Nest Audio speakers and route through my LG Web OS Smart TV downstairs without me giving any que other than my continued enjoyment of the entertainment it follows. The best in buds! Essential!

Sound quality is great if a bit entrenched in the poplar V shaped curve a lot of other manufactures use, however it can be tuned to suit your preferences to an extent using the bud’s app, The highs are clear and the lows are very boomy by default, The mids despite the tuning are a little muddy compared to the Samsung buds as the Samsung use 2 drivers in each earbud vs the 1 in the google buds, however that doesn’t mean the sound quality from the google buds is bad it’s just doesn’t have the range of clarity the Samsungs have. However, in my opinion no matter what Bluetooth buds you use there will be a compromise and with the quality that all Bluetooth signals use its never going to be audiophile quality no matter what brand you use. However, in my opinion no matter what Bluetooth buds you use there will be a compromise and with the quality that all Bluetooth signals use its never going to be audiophile quality no matter what brand you use. Battery life on these buds is fantastic! Far exceeding the Samsung bud’s pro 2 that I have used in the past especially in the case department as it can charge the buds quite a few times more than the buds 2 pro. That’s also while the actual buds themselves outperform the Samsung alternative. Noise cancelling on the whole offer better dampening of ambient outside noise than the Samsung buds however the transparency mode lets the google buds down a touch as it doesn’t sound as natural as the Samsung buds (probably due to the single driver). Software wise is great with a seamless hand off between devices (much better than Samsungs), with very wide compatibility even with apple devices, as an example I am able to pair with my Apple TV so I can listen to music while still being able to edit the sound settings on my phone and switch over to either device with ease with battery status being reported on both devices accurately. Pairing is a doddle with the hardware button (again better than Samsung’s method of basically opening the case a few times and hoping it decides to enter paring mode). With anything with Bluetooth being able to connect. Software support is great as I have had several software updates which bring new features and improvements to the device, with recent ones being the ear health monitor and spatial audio support and hopefully soon Find my Device support via googles new find my network.

A solid set of buds

I was trying to decide between these and the Jabra 8 active. I ended up getting these due to them been on special. They are pretty much what I expected. I'm a sparky and use them for average 7-9 hours a day. I found that the battery life estimates are pretty accurate for ANC on and off however, in transparency mode (which I used a lot to talk to customers, and works very well) it feels like it drains quicker which I also expect which mics constantly on and seems like common sense so I'm not to bothered by it.The touch controls are really good. I've had very few miss touches or wrong commands while using the controls and the ones I did have were while trying to learn the new controls compared to my old link buds.Voice assistant works well I have both tap activate ... MoreI was trying to decide between these and the Jabra 8 active. Assist hasn't had a problem with simple tasks like call someone or navigate to somewhere however it does struggle with sending texts via voice if I'm driving or to much background noise (another thing that is common sense so not to bothered)I've not had any complaints about calls quality unless I'm driving over 80km with the windows down (another common sense issue) windows up and no more problemsI've also not had any problems with the ear buds feeling like they are about to fall out either and are comfy to have in but I do find that unless I sit them just right by the end of the week my ears can be a little tender. This isn't exclusive to these ear buds though and has been the same with every ear buds I've used and I think it's just the fact I wear them roughly 50+ hours a week. But maybe a softer rubber casing over hard plastic would be nice in future budsThe app is pretty basic but I personally like that. I'm not really a fan of millions of adjustment and options. People who buys these aren't the type to play with settings for perfect sound, you'll play with the settings once then probably never open the app again. All in all a solid set of buds that do what I need and that's good enough for me

You know what? I’m an avid iPhone user & I loved these! Their noise cancellation & transparency modes are amazing! I couldn’t hear anything going on around me in active noise cancellation mode. The battery life is ridiculously long, the clearness on the phone is amazing, & it charges wirelessly on my MagSafe charger, where AirPods should go. Tbh if you have an iPhone, I wouldn’t run out & switch but, I wouldn’t turn my noise up at a free set either. I will admit that I was skeptical of the item since it seemed to be hit or miss on what condition they arrive in but mine showed up exactly as described, basically new and missing only the medium size pair of ear tips. I ordered another set of ear tips to replace these for like $10 and it was absolutely worth it. Sounds is spectacular, fit is perfect, noise cancelling is quite good and they are light weight and comfortable to wear. Finding good eartips can be tough especially if you are using the Google built-in check for your seal but after awhile I did manage to get them set and pass the test. Definitely happy with the music but I do agree volume on these is quieter overall than my Jabra. I am in my mid-30s so that could be slightly due to my own hearing loss but it does feel like it takes awhile to make it a listenable volume when in a louder environment. Unless ANC is on which I guess is what they want you to use all the time. There is also a safe volume indicator built into the app so I do.believe they take hearing health seriously. Overall not only do I recommend them, I would even consider getting other refurbished items from Best Buy. Great price and as described. Thanks!

Great Earbuds, Not So Great Experience

I bought these earbuds a couple of weeks ago using the 90-minute Uber delivery service that recently became available in my area. It was great and I was happy to have received them not 30 minutes after I had ordered them. However, when I went to set them up, I found that the left earbud wasn't charged, and quickly realised that both had to be charged to connect them to my phone. No problem, I thought. Quickly threw them on the charge and left them for about an hour. Came back, still flat. Okay, I thought, maybe wireless charging will work. Nope. I tried looking around online for solutions but couldn't find anything that would work. Setup was so incredibly easy, and the user experience is great overall. Sound quality is very good considering their form-factor, and Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Sound work very well. I've also enjoyed the simplicity of the touch controls, and being able to swipe to change volume is a game changer.Despite the bit of trouble at the start, which I have heard has happened to a few other people, I still think that these earbuds are great and that anybody interested should definitely get them.

I have to charge my PROs every single night or I won't have them for the next day.Like I said I love google, and I would love to leave a happy review of this product but I can't. these aren't the best, I wish I could return them. anyways, I'll just deal with these for now.
