This is such a great concept! The reasons that I gave this three stars are because when I tried the pill pockets a few years ago my dog was smart enough to figure out that he’s taking a pill so he’d either refuse to take it altogether or just eat the pill pocket and spit the pill right out. I also wish that there were an allergen free version available! These particular chicken flavor pill pockets smell like a combination of chicken and bacon. They are soft to the touch and have a shapable texture. So as for this product itself I think that it is a clever way to disguise your fur baby’s medications. Just PLEASE consider coming out with an allergen free version! Perhaps I’d give it another try…

I love these Greenies pill pockets! It's made giving my dogs their medicine so easy. The pockets are very pliable, just picture the softest Play-Doh you can imagine. So pills are easily covered and hidden in the treat. Since each pocket is actually pretty big, I just take a small amount, flatten it, and roll it around the pill. My dog is so smart, he was able to catch the pills until I started doing this. Now he swallows them whole without ever knowing I hid a pill in there! He also enjoys the chicken flavor and thinks I'm giving him a real treat whenever he gets his medicine, so he gets excited for them every time. Amazing product!

My 70 pound GoldenDoodle is very picky about hi sfood so when he had surgery for Bloat and was put on several pills for recovery i knew it would be a struggle to get him to take his pills. I tried putting th epills in many snacks and foods and nothing worked. A co-worker told me about these and i immediately went to buy them at PETCO.I gave my boy the first pill in his pill pocket and he quickly devoured it and came back for more! An indispensable for pets.

Don't know how I ever got along without 'em.I've spent a lot of lost motion trying to give my pets their meds. The pill in the hot dog. Only to have the pill left with the hot dog gone in a flash. How do they do it. The Greenies Pill Pockets changed all that. I don't know if they know they're getting tricked or not but it works. A little flavored pouch, less than the size of a half golf ball, drop in the pill, pinch the top closed, and the delivery of the pill is good as done, without hesitation. My pets love them. They come in several flavors and can be kept in the frig. When I open the zip lock bag the pets come at the gallop. A wonderful change.

Cannot reject but you cannot see.

I've been using these for years. I love them. It's a total deceit for especially an intelligent dog. I would recommend them to anybody who has a dog who simply just will not take medicine. I have had dogs at Patel immediately if you put it in peanut butter and bread or try to hide it in their food. I just found them on the floor. Pill pockets are the perfect deceiving remedy to all that. They think they're getting a treat, you're taking care of their needs. Absolute perfection. Any pill fits in them. Some antibiotic pills are a little bigger, and they kind of mess perfectly if you need to then they just think they're getting a bigger treat. I don't know who came up with this idea but my hats off to you.

Excellent for getting my dog to take his Atopica

I bought these treats to try something new for my dog Marquis' daily medication routine. He and I were both getting tired of peanut butter 3x a day, but I was worried that a pill pocket wouldn't be big enough to cover his Atopica pills. Atopica is a very large and stinky medication, so it was often a struggle to cover it in enough peanut butter to entice Marquis to take it without making a mess.However, these Greenies pill pockets are exactly what I needed! I no longer have to clean peanut butter off of my hands, his bed, or the rug if he drops it after taking it. Marquis and I are both much happier with these pill pockets.

Great Product!

Our Bully had an ear infection for which the vet prescribed Prednisone. Our dog absolutely refused to eat that pill. No matter how or with what we tried to administer it, he would spit it out every time. On a last-ditch effort, we bought the Greenies Pill Pockets. Success, he ate the treat and pill. Of course, our dog has to smell EVERYTHING before eating it. Apparently, by pinching the top of the pill pocket after inserting the pill, he couldn't smell the medication and gobbled it down. All pet parents, who haven't already tried the Greenies Pill Pocket, should absolutely give this product a try.

Peanut Butter is Best! (Least Greasy)

I noticed a review about the peanut butter ones getting dried out. We prefer the peanut butter ones because they are way less greasy than the cheese or chicken flavors. Our dog needs 1.5 pills, 3x per day for epilepsy at 6am, 2pm, and 10pm and 1/2 pill per day for Addison's disease. We are able to wrap her entire dose of pills in half of a pill pocket and we give the other half of the empty pill pocket to our other dog as a treat. The dogs know what time it is now and remind us when it is pill time because they love these so much! But we don't like having to handle the greasy other flavors. Since we use so many, we buy the 6 pack cases so haven't had any issues with blobs. Poor quality

1. Order delayed2.product-6 packs of greenies caplet pill covers.3. Greasey inside the pkg. I only opened 1 butI am pretty sure they’re all gonna be the same. specifically I know I will never use all of these by the expiration date in July. I don’t feel comfortable using them because they were so greasy inside on one of the pictures you can see the yellowish grease but when I compare them to the ones I bought at the store there was no grease and they didn’t have that shiny wet look on them. I was discouraged because I had been notified that they would be there on the 18th and they weren’t the 19th and they got finally delivered on the 20th and I really feel like FedEx really dropped the ball on this .

Tasty Pill Hiders

Works great for getting your dogs to take their medicine the easy way. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always work. Sometimes they will bite into the pill pocket and taste the medicine anyway and spit it all out. Once they find out what’s inside and have caught onto what you’re up to…they won’t fall for it again. Usually. Especially the same day. Fortunately, tomorrow is a new day and they really love the taste of the pill pockets! For the most part these work like a charm. Just keep in mind that you may have to give them their medicine the old fashioned way if what I mentioned happens. Dogs are very smart!
