Bought one because I liked tones from these on YouTube videos. Fit and finish is excellent. Real like headstock. Good feeling neck. Mine played well out of box after I lowered pickups that were set way to close to the strings. Probably wont do a thing to it. For more I’ll bust out a Gibson. Different guitars for different feels and tones is what Im saying. My other Gretsch is a 5420T and that rocks! I don’t think there’s better for this price.

I have a few expensive, high end guitars, but I tend to favor lower cost Fender Squiers and Gibson Epiphone Les Paul solid body guitars, partly because they can be wonderful guitars, but also because they most often have bolt-on necks, so I can change out parts easily to tweak them to create the tones and feel I favor. For some reason, even though I spent my youth drooling over the Gretsch guitars on Chet Atkins LPs, I never owned one. I found this used Gretsch G2210 Streamliner Junior Jet Club in Vintage White and I fell in love with it as soon as I plugged it in. The neck profile is a flat D shape, a bit fuller than I prefer (I like a modern C shape), but I find it very easy to play, despite some arthritis in my left hand thumb joint. And, man, oh man, the tone is superb! The Broad'Tron humbuckers don't sound like any of my many guitars with humbuckers, it's a tone unique to Gretsch. Many guitarists buy this guitar to tweak it, like I generally have done with my lower end Strats and Teles, but I have NO desire to change out the pickups, they are perfect! In fact, I recently bought a set of Broad'Tron humbuckers to wire into one of my Epi Les Pauls, a used, somewhat abused Special that I fixed up. It has a great neck feel, but the pickups are lackluster, so I'm sure these 'Tron humbuckers will breathe new life into it. It'll be fun to compare the Gretsch G2210 to the old Epiphone Les Paul.

Now you have a bass that you can be proud of when you play it. Those of us without all that expertise are stuck with playing a pretty good little bass until we can get all those refinements to our instruments. I am happy with just new strings and a few little twist and turns on my inexpensive musical instrument. The people I will be playing for will think I am one hellavuh bass player. Bought one of these off the cuff as a spare for regular gigging. My main goto electric is a more upmarket Gretsch so comfortable with the brand and hoped the 2210 would cut the mustard still but didnt get my hopes too high at the price. Play mainly 70s/80s punk, mod, ska, new wave so the sound tends to be either dirty punk or tight ska. This cheap Gretsch 2210 looks great (went for aged white), feels great and sounds fab. I did need to shell out 50 quid on a decent setup as wasn't perfect out the box but again, at the price what do you expect. Gigged with it as my main machine a couple of times now and really like it. If you want a no frills, good looking cheap guitar to either get you going or crank up live and dirty with no nonsense, this thing does just ... MoreBought one of these off the cuff as a spare for regular gigging. I could not be happier with my recent purchase of a Gretsch G2210 through ProAudioStar. I placed my order on Wednesday night and the guitar was $70 cheaper than anywhere else I could find it. The shipping was free and the guitar arrived that Saturday! My order was processed and product delivered in less than 3 days. When the guitar arrived I didn't know exactly what to expect since I was buying used. It was flawless!! It was packaged in the original Gretsch packaging with the plastic still on the pick guard and pickups. There were no scratches, dents or dings and the guitar plays and sounds awesome. You will not find a better guitar for the money and the service I received was phenomenal. 10/10 experience will definitely be ordering again from ProAudioStar and this ... MoreI could not be happier with my recent purchase of a Gretsch G2210 through ProAudioStar. Overall:Bought this from zZounds as a blemish! I honestly couldn’t find a blemish on it. Shipped double boxed but didn’t have the extras like tags and wrenches but oh well. Let it sit for a couple of days to acclimate, opened it and off we go. My first impressions were good. It was well made, easy to use and sounded good. With that said I don’t really care for the Broad’trn pickups. Sound too PAF for my tastes. I wanted something a bit jangling. I am still inside of my return period so not sure if I’ll keep it or not. I can’t complain about quality, bang for the buck, or anything else. It’s just not what I wanted or expected. It is a nice guitar just not me!
Amazing guitar. This guitar is solid. Feels great. Amazing range of tones. Build quality is top notch. No sharp frets. No buzzing. Medium action but can be lowered if you want. Neck feels great. Intonation good right out of the box. Practice with it every day. Truly a joy to play. Worth way more than the price.
So much fun to play; once properly set up. I recommend you get it ionized. The truss rod may need adjusted as well. Thats and easy fix, Im not complaining. Furthermore it has a very versatile tone. Id go back and buy it again in another color!
For the money, this is such an awesome guitar. Great color, great build quality. We took the neck off and it seems like they screw on the neck when the paint is not totally dry in the factory, which led to me having to sand of all the access material off before putting the neck back on. That's the only really bad thing I could find... the rest is fine. Also got one dent in the lacker... while it was brand new.Put in some vintage humbuckers. These humbuckers sound a bit plain and dull, but very stable. The new humbuckers made this guitar sing!
very cool, guitar came packaged well in 2 layers of boxing, mutliple foam inserts, and high quality bubble wrap. the guitar works and has no major marks or scuffs that i have noticed, all good! also the shipping was very fast. i saw a bad review but still gave them a shot, was worth it.
