I bought 2 of these to go side by side. I have been trying to get them for a while but always out of stock. They look great. Lots of storage. The thing is if you put 2 together the shelves gave to ge different hight. When the shelf is in the lower position, the back panel us not held in place well. I added support for rear panel to fix it. Definitely could easily have been designed better. The 2 piece back panel is a poor design. Should either be on piece or better way to hold it in place. Otherwise the unit is a good deal. Much cheaper than other options with a great look.

I bought the grillskar cabinet to use as extra counter and storage space for an existing outdoor kitchen. The cabinet is solid and well-made. One person can assemble the main base, but you will need an extra pair of hands to put the outer panels on. If you are putting the panels on, you do not want to install the middle shelf on the base unit. You do not realize that until you open the panel box and look at the directions. The only element I did not love was the metal tabs you need to bend to secure the panels. I am not sure how well it will hold up. I could not line one tab up, so one panel is not in well. I am planning on getting another unit to put next to my original unit, so it should not be a huge problem.

I got this set because we wanted an affordable outdoor kitchen. The assembly of the table itself is very easy. It’s very sturdy as well. However, the installation of the doors and panels was a NIGHTMARE!!! The panels are easily bent and have several dents. It’s hard to get them attached as well. I was so frustrated with these doors that I actually cried. The stainless steel is a mirror for the sun. I didn’t consider how reflective it would be. You definitely need sunglasses while working with this set or you can place a towel on top to block the sun. We bought 3 cabinets and the grill. I also bought doors for the grill but had no idea doors couldn’t be installed. However, I did install the panels and that worked for me.

When I received it, I realized that it did not go together securely as it used for tabs that you bend up to secure the back panel. The side panels only had two tabs. Nothing secured the bottom of the back panel nor the side panels. I use 75 stainless steel self tapping screws to reinforce and hold together the panels. Simple tabs are not going to hold it together. There was nothing on the side of the panels to hold them against the unit. We have a strong winds in our area, and I knew they would collapse. It’s a shame IKEA did away with the screws as you can see if there were some holes that at one time you must’ve used screws. It is supposed to be waterproof. ... Looks great by our weber. The only problem was putting it together. It should state on instructions, if you are fitting the outer cabinet, you should change how to put it together. As we put the main shell together and had to pull it apart again to put the external covering on.
Purchased item & went to collect it from the pick up point, only to be told they only had the base in stock (doors/back & sides sold Separately)?This was not clearly advertised when purchased. The item is on display as a cabinet which is what I wanted to store our outdoor dining ware. I bought the base as I was then informed that the other item would be back in stock at the end of the month (September). I was told I’d be sent an email/text to confirm. It’s now the end of December & I am still waiting. Very very disappointed.The quality of the item is pretty good, but it’s still in complete.
I purchased two for an outdoor kitchen. Reasonably easy to assemble with the doors and sides. The catches for the doors are magnetic and not very secure. The units fill with rain as they have gaps around the doors which let water in. A little water coming in would be expectable but this was a lot of water. I would have thought IKEA would be on top of this. An outdoor furniture cover has solved the problem.Apart from this not too bad.
This fits our Ovana pizza oven perfectly, with space on the side for condiments etc. Shelves are great, but would be nice if there were more height adjustment for the middle shelf so the 9kg gas bottle fits. Could get a smaller bottle, and it’s not out of place, sitting next to it. Will buy another to put alongside, and get the doors too.Love it
Exactly what i was looking for for next to the BBQ. Looks like a small kitchen read now. The price was not bad too. These little prep tables can be pretty expensive. Love the stainless steel top. It was a little confusing to put together the instructions were not too cleared. It also comes in two pieces shipped so i had to wait to have both pieces before assembling.
The Grillskar is the perfect size to hold and store my Ooni pizza oven. When using the oven, I place it on the top shelf, placing it at exactly the right height. Then when done, I store it on the center shelf, and cover it all up with a nice protective cover I found online. My only suggestion is that I wish this came with casters so it could easily be moved around my deck. Well done Ikea!
