Purchased the 10 inch pan about 6 months ago for all the camping trips. Used it every single time and love it! So does my husband, who made a comment that he likes to use the pan quite a lot.Large enough for nice omelette or fried eggs (at least two if not more), toasting the bread, sauces for pasta and more. Nothing sticks, easy to clean. Wipe it with a napkin and done. Lightweight albeit a bit larger but I wanted it in such size. Hence now aiming to purchase the smaller one, 8 inch as well. Easy to utilize both of the pans on my camping stove at the same time. One must be carful not to scratch the teflon cover, even when stoving it away. I was not careful initially, got a small scratch, but now using a kitchen towel to cover it before storing it away with other pots.

I recently added this to my camp kitchen collection, and am thoroughly pleased I did. It’s not too heavy (by car camping standards), and is a great size. I have a smaller pan from a set (6 in, I believe) that I was finding to be too small for easy cooking. This one fits two slices of bread easily (for toasting, French toast, etc.), and you can squeeze a third in if you want. The nonstick coating makes it ideal for, well, really anything else, too.Yes, I wish it were ceramic and not Teflon, but honestly, I’m only going to be cooking on it a few times a year.I don’t have any metal utensils in camp, so scratching isn’t an issue (if you do, be careful with them!).It folds up nicely, with the handle either in the pan or upright, with makes for easy packing. It ... MoreI recently added this to my camp kitchen collection, and am thoroughly pleased I did. It’s not too heavy (by car camping standards), and is a great size. For the money this is a good buy. I took it with me backpacking this weekend. It is a little heavy, but then again a skillet is a luxury item. One thing I did notice was how easy the cleanup was. I just wiped it off! One truly negative thing I noticed, is over the weekend I acquired a scratch in the inside finish of the skillet. I dont know if it got scratched by my Spork or whether it was scratched in my pack? But apparently it is not bulletproof. Im going to use the heck out of it for a while. Ill let you know how it does over six months or a year.

This is my third Bugaboo frypan over the last 8-10 years that I use for most of my camping cooking needs. Its non-stick surface makes it excellent for cooking up everything from breakfast mashups to pasta dishes and risotto. It's easy to clean and with the removeable handle it's also fairly easy to pack too. The one thing I would caution is that the non-stick surface is Teflon so you need to ensure you don't exceed medium heats as that will breakdown the Teflon. I use an MSR Dragonfly as my camp stove which allows me to control the flame/heat output but even then it will still deteriorate with use at the center of the pan where the flame from the stove is concentrated.
The pan is good quality and good size for 2 or 3 people. It can easily fry up a few eggs or a medium sized fillet. Non stick coating works well and makes the pan a lot easier to clean than a stainless or aluminum pan.The bottom side of the pan has ridges though, so it tends to collect a lot of gunk and other stuff. If you plan on using it on the fire, you might want to consider the GSI pinnacle line of pans, those seem to have a flat base. The pan is a little heavier than what I would like but cooks evenly and well. The handle folds up and into the pan though, it makes it more difficult to nest with other cookware but I guess it makes the handle more secure when in use.
I’ve been wanting to purchase one of these for years, but could never really justify buying one. Quite frankly, my MSR nesting pots can still stir fry food just fine.BUT then these went on sale for $20 and I couldn’t say no. I snagged one up, cooked some eggs on my last camping trip and I love it!This is definitely one of those things that’s a want more than a need. You don’t really need a frying pan, and realistically you can do most things in a single pot. I have no regrets though, plus the foldable handle is great. I like having little luxury items, and this is one of them!
Very impressed with this frying pan. The high side-walls and super long handle make cooking over a fire a piece of cake. The non-stick coating works very well - no oil or butter needed. Very thick and solid, but that does make it a bit heavier than I'd like it to be for a 'backcountry' frying pan. Overall, very happy with this.
Pleased with this purchase for camping trips. Bought the larger one to make meals for more than one person, it is a decent size. The handle is obviously lightweight but feels solid enough. Would recommend.
I use this with liquid and gas fuels; mostly liquid though. Stunning performance with even heat distribution. Heats up so fast that I use a stove wind guard to keep it a good 1.5 inches (5.5 cm) above my burner flame when I cook eggs. The pan packs well. I keep a dish towel between the handle and pan interior when collapsed and this pan gets its very own stuff sack to protect the coating from scratches. The pan cleans easily. I do not recommend using this pan over a wood fire. I have not tried but I do know my pans and this one can be smoke soot damaged. Use this pan over a clean blue flame. I use a MSR WisperLite International. The price for this item is very fair. If I have to replace it once a year, you can watch me smile while you take my money.
This is a very decent pan. After several uses, I can definitely say that it is non-stick. But please notice that I always use some oil, as it adds flavor. I am not going to use it very often and with high temperature as it is Teflon, which is not healthy, but for occasional use to fry eggs I think it would be acceptable and very useful. It does not require a spatula as the eggs just slide of the pan without any problem. I just wipe the pan afterwards with a napkin or a paper towel and rinse it quickly with warm water.
