Now many Matte Velvet Lipstick formulas are super drying on the lips but this one is absolutely not, it has to be the most comfortable Matte type lipstick I have ever used. I do absolutely love the concept of refillable lipsticks an the mechanism of this one is fantastic. The colour is intense and a mostly orange toned red but there is enough blue in it to help my teeth to not look too yellow. My only other issue I have with this lipstick is that it has a rose scent/taste to it, now after wearing the lipstick for a few minutes the smell seems to mostly dissipate but I found the slight rose taste lingered.

Guerlain’s #24 Rouge G de Guerlain Matte Lip Color is a permanent lipstick that retails for $57.00 and contains 0.12 oz. It’s a slightly cool-toned, medium red with a satin finish. The pigmentation is semi-opaque, and it applies fairly evenly. The lipstick itself has a smooth, velvety texture that feels comfortable during application. I’ve been using this product with a lip gloss on top and did t find it to be drying. I loved using it with the case as it was handy to have the mirror when out for the evening for reapplication. The lipstick and case make for such a beautiful accessory in my makeup bag. I would just note that if you like to display your lipsticks standing, this product has a rounded bottom so will not be able to be stored in a standing position.

It's a smooth and buildable satin lipstick, but to me, it's quite shiny (a good thing!) and hydrating on the lips. It does not emphasize lip lines. The colour I received was a beautiful muted midtone rose. Shade name: 03 le nude intense. As it fades, it leaves behind a slight rosy stain. On a fair skin tone like mine, it gives a nice pop of colour, while still being on the neutral wearable side. However, on a tan skin tone, it's a gorgeous rosy nude. I tested it on my mom and ended gifting it to her! She was very happy when she saw it was from Guerlain. Overall, it's a good formula, but expensive. There are so many other affordable options on the market. If you're buying this, it's either for the name brand or the built-in mirror case.

First, I’m a bit of a lipstick junkie. It’s easily the product that I have the most of my make up collection. I really enjoy using an applying this Guerlain satin lipstick. It glides on easily depositing a nourishing formula to the lips. I find I need 2 to 3 swipes to achieve the colour opacity that I like. (I guess you could call it a lip-balm consistency that’s highly pigmented?) I also prefer my lipsticks to leave a slight stain of colour on the lips, this way if it wears off the lips aren’t totally nude. This shade does that although it’s very subtle. Note: I would describe the specific shade colour as more of a coral pink I thought it would be slightly different just based on the name. I highly recommend the little mirror case that goes with it. Though, I do wish they had a better secure mechanism on the pop-up mirror tbh.

The real power of this lipstick though is how it makes you feel… Sophisticated. Expensive. Confident. Like a good blow out, that alone is worth the splurge. Highly recommend this lipstick. I have never tried top of the range lipstick before and I can definitely notice the difference in texture, scent and its premium design and comfortable need to wear. I tested this Satin lipstick on special occasions and the lipstick itself glided really well onto my lips giving a smooth coverage effortlessly. The colour of the lipstick is not my usual colour but this matched my outfit perfectly so it was an excellent opportunity to test this at the same time. The lipstick did not stain on clothing nor did it smudge that much. The scent of the lipstick was quite noticeable and sweet like I was sucking on a sweet candy all day. I love a good satin lipstick and this lipstick formula was absolutely beautiful. It left my lips hydrated and it glided nicely on the lips. The packaging is of course my absolute favorite, you pick your lipstick cover and add your favorite shade to create your own customized lipstick. I love how well thought out this lipstick is and the shade I got (rosy nude -08 Le Nu) is the perfect shade.
