Guerlain 2W Parure Gold Skin Matte Foundation 35ml

I used to wear the previous gold bottle version of this and I was shade 1 normally and shade 2 in the Summer. I recently bought the new matte version in shade 1N but it was a shade too dark, so I tried it in 0.5N but that was a shade too light. I then tried 1W but that was too dark golden so I have resorted to mixing 0.5N and 1N together. Although this makes it very expensive I think it's worth it because it is incomparably superior to any other high end foundation I have tried. It also wears for a full day on my oily skin unlike the gold bottle version. I also love how it smoothes the look of my skin and makes it appear lifted, with a subtle radiance and keeps my skin hydrated all day. I would recommend getting colour matched if you can, sadly I don't have a Guerlain counter where I live so that wasn't possible. It also oxidises after around 5 minutes on the skin so allow the time for it to settle before deciding on the shade for you.

The foundation also creates a blurring effect on me, with it helping to hide any imperfections. It also has a floral-ish smell to it, but this dissipates once on. This foundation is full coverage and looks a little bit like Estee Lauder Double Wear except it has a slight glow. It's also more hydrating than DW. Buffing it out with a dense flat-top brush, I get a perfected but not heavy look. I think this would look terrible applied with fingers. The problem is that fragrance is in the middle of the ingredient list and made my face feel slightly itchy. Otherwise, it's a great foundation--just know that you are buying full coverage.
