Gulf Western Oil have been in operation since in 1988 and state they use the highest quality virgin base oils and the most technologically advanced API approved additive systems allowing the company to hold some of the highest OEM approvals.As a person who buys local as much as possible, I swap between Nulon, Penrite and now GW. I have no complaints about GW Oils; it's not a Group IV oil such as you'll find from Motul et al but it is fine for the day-to-day task of driving to and from work etc in a normal petrol engine as it matches or exceeds the spec set my the manufacturer of my car.On sale, it's unbeatable value.

I have been useing syn-x 5000 in the wifes mitzy outlander and her honda cb 125e for a while now,no complaints at all , its JASO MA without the big price tag ,its a very versitile oil.Best BANG for youre money oil.My motorguzzi V9 gets the 10w-60 gulf western oil ,GULF WESTERN is just as good as the big name brands like shell and castrol ,and its australian made,and youre keeping youre money in ozzie pockets which i like.👍

Actually haven't used it yet. Just needed a Full synthetic oil. To mix with mineral oil that I have to mix - for a semi synthetic requirement for an Old Bomb. What could go wrong, eh??? Hahaha.

Cheapest synthetic oil on the day and easy online purchase. I find Autobarn better than supercheap these days.
I generally stick to using the big name brands when it comes to engine oil, though I thought to give this Gulf Western Syn X 5000 product a try. I would consider this product to be an excellent motor oil which caters for most petrol vehicle applications with its versatile 5W-40 viscosity. I rate this oil highly and would definitely consider using it again. The engine runs very smooth and quiet. Definitely one of the better motor oils I have ever used.

Great value oil for money. I have been using an oil more then twice the price (cant name it but its a well known premium french brand) and this walks all over it. As soon as I put it in all lifter tick was gone and the engine runs so much smoother, especially when giving it some right boot. This Oil has been perfect for my Subaru running 20psi, Has not let me down.
Great quality oil purchased at a very attractive price when compared to other brands of a similar viscosity motor oil.
Trying it in my work van. Complete overkill for that but got it on sale and has the same qualities as much dearer oils. Will use In my FPV GS in future. At the moment using SHELL ULTRA 5W40 instead of CASTROL 0W40 titanium which has also been very good but more expensive. Made and owned in Aussie ,full synthetic, has the same ratings ,so why not.
I am a qualified mechanic and we all know how expensive different brands of oil can be. This is a good quality oil meets and exceeds a lot of other brands better known in its specifications. This is much better then using any semi synthetic oil on the market and priced right.
