i bought this hoping it was the tranexamic acid version, but i cannot tell if it is or not.the texture is similar to a fluid cream, which i was hoping for. this is not the toner version! i love that it is lightweight, sinks right into the skin and has no scent- makes it suitable for sensitive skin especially.it feels velvety and is hydrating, the face is left luminous and plump. i will update this comment when i use it more, because i bought it for brightening and for dark spots left by acne and i dont know how effective it is yet. the bottle is small (140ml) but the refills are so attractive in price and quantity!

I have used this product off and on since 2019 and I have always seen a massive improvement. Within the first 1-3 uses, you will get instantly more hydrated skin, that makes your pigmentation and redness seem reduced. After a couple months ive noticed my redness is reduced even if i stop this product, my hyperpigmentation is much lesser now too. I typically use one thin layer in the morning, with some more on my undereye to brighten it, and a thicker layer or two in the evening.Overall 10/10 product.

I use thus after the lotion. Pairs well. Provides enough moisture at the last step of my skincare routine. I can skip moisturizing cream after applying this product.No fragrance. Very gentle. Does not make me break out. I love the blue and simple packaging. So much product for a reasonable price. Very cost effective. Didn't see any actual skin lightening, though it did make acne marks fade faster.

I ditched my hyaluronic acid serum and retinol cream as they were harsh for my skin and this product combines the benefit of both in a gentler way.It wasn't harsh on my skin and it's actually very soothing and doesn't seem to have much fragrance to it. It makes my skin well hydrated and adds a nice glow.It seems to work well in terms of lightening skin as it helped with lightening my hyperpigmentation but not to dramatic extent but I've been using it for about a month so perhaps it will give better result with continue use.All in all would recommend.

This is a lightweight lotion. It reminds me of a gel-cream moisturizer. Since I am on tretinoin topical med, I have to use a thicker moisturizer on top, but I'm sure this product will be enough for those who have oilier skin and live in warmer, humid climates.
Hada Labo has got be one of the great skin care products of all time. Yet it's not exactly a household name. Hada Labo continues to fly under the radar where it remains a hidden gem and if you've found it consider yourself lucky. In my opinion Hada Labo is high end hiding inside drug store packaging. This brand delivers and at drug store prices. This, the Arbutin line in the blue bottles, has worked miracles on my face. My red blotches are gone, the angry inflamed skin I had on my cheeks is almost completely gone, and a big red blotch I had on my forehead since birth is now so mild I almost don't even see it anymore. Hada Labo I love you!
This is more of a lotion consistency, however I was looking for more of an essence. Because of the texture I didn't really use it that much and can't really say if its effective or not. However I think that this has great ingredients for someone who deals with hyperpigmentation. It also gives a lot of hydration so dehydrated skin may also like this. I use the rest of it on my body, and I maybe over did it with the amount because I felt a little bit sticky. This didnt happen on my face when I use the "right" amount. So I wouldn't advise to layer it since it can feel a little heavy and sticky.

This product is very hydrating, too much to my likening but that tells me that it's working. First time I used it, it shocked me a little because my whole face looked oily, but it did not feel oily. I guess this is what "glass skin" is supposed to look like. I personally don't like the glass skin look on me. So, I use this at night where I don't mind looking extra hydrated in bed. If I use it during the day, I pat it down with some very sheer powder. I find this product a little sticky for the first hour or so too, something I wish wasn't there. i have super super dry skin. i have been using this consistently for 2 weeks and i can already see and feel a big difference in my skin. it turns out a lot of my fine lines were actually dehydration lines. my skin hasnt felt this soft ever before. this is truly something i would recommend to people that are struggling with dry skin. it doesnt feel heavy on the skin, and dried quickly after use
