Hankook Kinergy GT - The Kinergy GT is Hankook's Grand Touring All-Season tire originally developed for Original Equipment use on vehicles from Honda, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen. It is designed to provide a quiet and comfortable driving experience combined with traction in all weather conditions, even light snow. The Kinergy GT molds a silica-infused, all-season compound into a symmetric, five-rib tread pattern. The rigid center rib aids traction for acceleration and braking performance, and the high-modulus bead filler increases sidewall stiffness for responsive steering. The high-grip silica tread compound delivers wet traction, while wide lateral notches and four circumferential grooves evacuate water from beneath the contact patch for increased hydroplaning resistance. Multiple tread sipes feature chamfered edges to maximize contact area on slippery surfaces, providing confident all-season traction. Internal construction of the Kinergy GT features two wide, steel belts with a full-width nylon reinforcement (in most sizes) for improved handling, durability and high-speed stability. A body casing made from polyester cord helps manage the trade-off between handling and comfort, while the strong, jointless bead wire enhances uniformity for a smoother ride.

These tires were standard on a new vehicle, but after only 11020 miles I'm told they need to be replaced. Specs say they should last up to 70000. I have informed my dealership that the next vehicle I purchase will need to have another brand.

Tires came on my new 2021 Honda CRV. One year and 20,000 miles later they need to be replaced. Doesn’t seem right to pay that much for a vehicle and have to replace the tires after 1 year.Shame on Hankoock and Honda.

Kinergy GT came on my new 2020 Accord. They handled ok on dry and wet pavement at first, not good in snow/slush/ice of Michigan. However with 27000 miles on it I'm looking to replace them with a second winter coming because the tread is 75% gone and wearing out quickly, they aren't even able to handle wet roads well anymore. I was surprised to learn they were supposed to be a 70k tire. Absolutely would not trust them on a car for a loved one.

Kinergy GTs came as original equipment on our 2015 VW Passat. They are great tires - excellent wet traction, great dry road handling, quiet, good ride. They transmit road conditions well through the steering wheel - you know if you're about to hydroplane, or slide in snow and ice. They were good tires in ice and snow the first winter, but by the second winter, the siping had worn enough that they had lost their edge on ice, so we got winter tires to go with them. Right back to the Kinergy's once the snow melted, though. At 50,000 km, they are nearing replacement, so not the longest lived tires - but so good that my wife insists they be replaced with another set of Kinergy GTs.
These are the original tires on my 2020 Camry Hybrid. I have winter tires so can't comment on Snow and Ice. They handle well in the summer cornering and braking. My only complaint is the tread wear. I am up to only 30,000 km and they will be done after this summer and fall. I would not pay what they are asking for these tires simply based on tread wear.
The Kinergy GTs came stock with my 2020 corolla. I used them for about 55k miles (in US northeast) and they still had a little bit of tread on them when I changed them out. They are comfortable and grippy enough and don't feel cheap. Haven't had issues in rain and light snow either. I'd definitely get Hankook tires again since they're comparable to the likes of Michelin and Bridgestone while being much cheaper and having excellent tread life, especially for cheap small cars like corollas or civics since buying premium tires won't reduce noise levels or comfort (I learnt that the hard way).
I have them on my brand new CRV Touring from Honda dealer and @ 20,000 miles the tread is 3/32”. They need to be replaced for safety concerns. Tried to get prorated replacement through the dealer and both Hankok and dealer refused as they indicated its normal wear. I have never replaced tires on a brand new car @20,000 miles. This is not normal!! I have the right pressure always and the car is garaged. Don’t recommend them. They don’t last and i’m wondering how they advertise that they last for 70,000 miles.
I have about 25,000 km on them.Great handling. Quiet. Fuel efficient. Safe. Rain. Dry. Tread life on my sedan is very good so far its been 2 yrs of driving on my Honda. It is exactly as advertised. An ultra premium 3 season tire.Do i wish they were less expensive? Yes but in this case i got what i paid for.
I'm experiencing the same issues as others. The tires came on my Honda Accord and I'm at 20K miles and my car slides around on wet roads. The worst tires I've ever had on a car. I have to replace them now.
Ordered this to replace a flat tire I got. Could not be fixed drove over a bolt. This was a replacement for my 2018 Hyundai Tucson tire.Fast.freedelivery. Just had to find a place to mount and balance for me. One ofthe muffler shops did it for me.The price with free shipping and balance/mounting was still worth it. Will definitely recommend to othersand come back again.
