Hario V60 Drip Decanter 02 700ml Black VDD-02B

The Hario V60 Decanter is big. It's not small so it's good for making a number of cups of coffee. On average I make 2 cups of coffee a day. 20g of coffee up to 300ml of water. When I have guests over I make 30g to 40g of Coffee. It's a great item to have for coffee lovers.Bonus: Comes with free Paper filters.

I bought the V60 and decanter in conjunction with a gooseneck kettle after getting a bit tired of my AeroPress, and I could never go back. The V60 provides a really nice clean cup of coffee, and the decanter and funnel are super simple to clean, and nicely designed. I would get this over a Chemex every time.

This Hario v60 holder, decanter and filter set is a great way to make pour over coffee. From holding the box in your hands, the experience feels premium. Just having the silicone grip to stop you scalding your hands when the decanter is hot is. Nice touch.The packaging is excellent; and the instructions will walk you through making coffee.My decanter seems perfectly made with even curves around the body and a flat surface on the top for the filter to couple to. The filter is designed to block the spout when attached which helps keep the heat in. A Steep Learning Curve

This grinder seems to be quite well made from high quality materials, but I've been having trouble learning how to use it correctly.I bought it in a bundle with an Aeropress, and I've been finding it quite difficult to achieve the correct grind.I watched the Alternative Brewing Video on YouTube about how to find the zero point, but for some unknown reason, when I attempt the demonstrated method of finding the "Zero Point" point, (where the grinding handle falls), I can't find it.Even when the ceramic burrs are completely removed, the handle stays stubbornly up. Decent, but quality is a bit lacking

I've had this grinder for over a year and I have previously regularly used a Porlex hand grinder. I prefer the Porlex for quality of engineering and materials, with one exception. Both grind coffee well and adjusting grind size is easy. They're easy to take apart and clean. The difference is in build quality:1. My Rhinowares hand grinder crank arm broke where the arm connects to the grinder. The metal piece came out of the arm. It looked like it had been soldered on there but not very well and it failed while I was using it to grind. They don't seem to sell replacement arms.2. The fit of the bottom cup (where grinds go) to the grinder is a bit loose, so I end up needing to hold it to make sure it doesn't come off. It's been this way from the start. I found the Porlex to be more snug.The Porlex crank arm to grinder connection is failure proof as it is a hole that slots around the grinder mechanism (both solid metal). The only downside we found to the Porlex was we dropped the crank arm once onto the floor and the plastic handle broke, making it uncomfortable to grind with (we replaced it).Hope that helps!

Excellent combined v60 & karaffe - perfect for the mornings...

I love coffee. I need coffee in the morning.Each morning begins with a 4:6 recipe on my phone, some outstanding beans, a wonderful 1zpresso hand grinder, and this brewer. It's wonderful, the perfect start to every day. Simple to use, simple to dispose of the filter, simple to clean. It lets you focus on technique, and not on tools.Get one - you will not regret it.

Good little hand grinder

Good little hand grinder that is portable and easy to use. Very easy to adjust the settings and is pretty straight forward to use; fill the chamber, attach the handle and turn to grind. It also comes with a travel pouch to protect the grinder for when you need to take it on trips. Just note that it does take a little time and effort to grind the beans. One thing that I am disappointed with is the catcher, although you can use it as a dosage cup, it does not fix onto the grinder as well as it could. You need to be weary of this as it can become loose and fall off when you're grinding. Make sure you hold onto the catcher when grinding to ensure it does not fall off and coffee goes everywhere. That being said, for the price of the hand grinder it does the job.

Hario V60 Drip Decanter

Extremely happy with this little V60 combo decanter. Everything feels sturdy and well built, even the little silicon band that wraps around the carafe. The cohesiveness has really simplified my morning routine, and have found myself reaching for this over my GINO set. This was my first plastic V60, and I am loving how little preheating I've needed to do in comparison to the metal one I have. Cleaning has been a breeze, and I love that I can actually fit my hand into the carafe so I can thoroughly wash it.

Here's to the beginning...

This was my first pour over brewer and I received it as a gift. Prior to this, I would only brew my coffee via french press. I managed to use this brewer for many years until an unfortunate accident where the carafe was shattered. I liked the brewer so much I ended up buying another one to replace it. Obviously it is a bit fragile so be careful with it, that would probably be my biggest complaint and why I cannot give it full 5 stars. There are many positives, it cleans very easily due to the large opening, I have ran it through the dishwasher or used a bottle brush to clean it and it looks brand new. It does occupy some extra space and results in having an extra item to clean after making coffee, alternatively some v60's brew right into the final drinking cup. Stylish and practical

I bought this after I heard Hoffman suggested it was his daily driver for pour-overs. I bought the glass V60-03 first, but I wanted the smaller plastic version as well. What's great about this is that the decanter is actually pretty big to allow the V60 to sit inside of it, so I can use it as a much bigger decanter for my V60-03 as well to make big batches. Successfully fit about a litre of pour-over coffee (don't ask me how I know).
