Works great in a Hario V60 02 (obviously). If you don't own one, do yourself a $25 favor and experience the unparalleled clarity and smoothness of the V60's flavor. The Hario filters are super high quality, strong, and they're bleached just using oxygen. FRC ships fast, and you can't go wrong supporting this awesome company. I won't order them from Amazon due the high probability of getting counterfeits.

The 1-2 cups in small print had me. However, I started brewing 500ml coffee with 30g of ground coffee (for 2 cups) in the filter and it is touch and go. What I mean is that I recommend using a goose neck kettle when using 30g of coffee in the filter as it gets very close to the edge of filter when pouring. No goose neck kettle? Buy the 2-4 cup filters. Pre-wetting the filter results in zero colour in the water so, conclusion? Best filters ever.

These are not even remotely comparable to previous Hario V60 filters. The paper looks, feels, and smells different from previous Hario V60 filters. What's unforgivable however, is how poorly they perform. Brew times for the same grinder setting have gone from 2:45 to 4:30. That's over 60% longer! And predictably the coffee is over extracted, lacking all previous clarity of flavor. Now my only choices are to reduce the amount of coffee or grind much coarser, neither of which will yield satisfactory results in the cup. This amounts to an unforgivable product decision by Hario, and reveals a lot about their commitment to quality.

These are the best price to volume filters. I've tried a few other ones - the non tabbed and tabbed in the small box versus these. These are my go to because they are easiest to get, readily available, and work well. They are fairly thick in comparison to some of the others. I would buy these for their consistency. Would not hesitate to buy more.
These are High quality filters without a bleached paper flavor. I still rinse them most of the time, but when I brew at work with blade ground beans, I skip that step. When I order with any coupon or use points for even a 5% discount they are very reasonably priced.A V60, good flat burr grinder, and ANY FRC coffee, and I am set!!!!
I had been told not to buy the 100 pack as the filters were not made the same as the 40 pack. I figured how bad can at be and the 40 pack was sold out so tried these out. They add on average 1 minute on drawdown times regardless of the method affecting the taste of the end cup. I find coffees more bitter and cups not as clean. If I had started out with the 100 packs I probably wouldn’t know any better but doing back to back cups, with all parameters the same: the cup isn’t as good. Will probably end up tossing these or keeping them in case of emergency. Lol
I know the flow rate is a bit different with different paper filters- and perhaps it is for this reason that I find these work a bit better than the 100 pack with the little tabs (though perhaps there are other variables that might have accounted for the differences). But it works so I’ll keep buying these. Though one can get these anywhere, I like buying my coffee gear from Cafune where possible- just delightful people to deal with - communications are great- items are beautifully packed - it feels more like an in person transaction.
Straight up you think paper filters is paper filters. You'd be wrong. Dead wrong.These filters got it all, without that overly papery taste you associate with bad filters.They don't behave like the metal ones and have a consistent brew time.What's that you don't drink coffee? Well then they are perfect for tiny baby hats too. Perfect for draining cheese as well, a little clunky but you could do it.Strain your broth, do it, ARE YOU? I'll wait.Anyway, I dig em, they are perfect for my V60 needs and make for satisfying cups of coffee.
The only difference that I notice between this one and the 40pack one is that the 40pack one is easier to fold and fit the dripper. This one needs a little bit of technique when folding. You need to find the perfect line to fold for it to fit well. There should be difference in flowing speed, although I do not remember clearly now.
This product by far makes the worst coffee I've ever had. I've been making my own pour overs at home for years and have used paper, cloth and other metal filters, and none of them leave as much sediment in the coffee and filter as poorly as this item. I reached out to customer service about it, and they acknowledged that the mesh filter sizes may differ on the filters, and then proceeded to suggest I change my grind, pour speed, and pour method, rather than actually offering to do anything about the product. Their response was they don't accept refunds or returns on used products, which is ridiculous when your product was poorly designed, not fit for purpose, and can't be tested unless it is used. Don't waste your money.
