The product is great. Swing is so versatile. It's the mounting bracket and the instructions that go along with it that worry me. I'm a handyman and hang many things from walls and ceilings. The instructions say to install directly to the ceiling into a stud. When actually it's a joist. Problem is the bracket, it's 3.5 inches wide with four holes that are 2 inches apart from each other. A joist is only 1.5 inches wide. The bracket assembly comes with 4 Lag screws. Why? You can only use 2 according to your instructions. I mount it using a 2x4 bracket that I construct and spread the load over 2 joists rather than just 1, and then attach the bracket to the wide part of the 2x4 and use all 4 screws. This swing has been a huge hit for my Neurodivergent kids—ages 6 and 4. I’m planning on getting an additional swing with more structure for my younger kiddo and love that I should be able to swap them out easily with the carabiner. We purchased the spinning attachment—total no-brained on that one! The fabric is thin and at first I was skeptical but it’s held up to several months of daily heavy use. Both kids can go on together without stretching it to the floor. I love how it stretches one direction so it never sags.I had been debating on getting one for so long but finally got it during a sale and it’s one of the therapy products we actually use every single day and I honestly wish I would have gotten it sooner! I purchased this swing for my sensory seeking first grader. He has been using it regularly to self regulate. We often take breaks during homework to swing for a few minutes and he is better able to focus and complete homework without a fuss! What I did not realize our neurotypical 5 year old daughter would use the swing equally as often as her brother. She says…”It’s so fun and it helps me feel calm when I am feel silly.” It was easy to install and has already provided us with hours of entertainment and a go to spot for self regulation!

Our youngest has been diagnosed with ASD, extreme SPD (Seeker) as well as ADHD. We just installed this swing in our front living room and he loves it! It swings, spins, rocks, and calms him very quickly. Our daughter who is affected by our son's world also has a swing and she loves to sit quietly in it and read when she is feeling stressed out by the commotion in our house. We highly recommend this swing. It was also very reasonably priced compared to a lot of sensory products on the market. We couldn't be happier with our purchases. Thank you for making this product!
Our family of sensory seekers has used this swing for the past 11 months. We did purchase an additional element to make it spin from Amazon. Well worth it. I think the kids would have been frustrated by it otherwide. Make sure to check the carbineer every once in a while, we had to replace ours a few months ago since it was getting worn through! I was shocked!
This was an all day event for both of my kids. We put it up at 9:30 am and had to take it down at 5:30 so I could get them to eat dinner without a fight. 😂My son is 5 and autistic, and uses the swing to hop in flat on his back and then wiggle out again. The resistance and heavy work is fantastic for his sensory needs. I’m writing this review at 6 am the day after first use. I wasn't sure where we would put it, but it is working out fine in her 12 x12 ft bedroom. It's off to one side so she can hit the walls, but at her age she can handle being careful. When she gets upset we will remind her to swing and it calms her right down! My husband told me "good job" on finding the swing, he was so impressed how it helps her! Also, she puts music on and performs shows for us, it's remarkable how many fun moves she can do on it! My 2 year old daughter also likes to swing on it with my assistance. I highly recommend! I put the swing in the middle of my living room and the kids absolutely love it. Not sure if my son knows to go in it to help regulate his sensory experience, but still worth it. I sometimes go in it and find it really relaxing. My daughter loves swinging upside down and pretending to fly. It can be really fun and exciting but also ultra relaxing. The only problem is it's ugly, since it is in the middle of my living room. Wish it came in prettier colors.

The directions did not really make sense to me as I was reading them, but actually doing what was said to set the swing up was super easy. Because I already had hooks in my porch that I use the swing was up in less than 5 minutes. (This of the difference between a hood and a scarf.)My kids love it. I think it is decently comfortable myself (as a 200 lb guy) and I am now tempted to get a second one and figure out where to hang another so my kids stop fighting over who's turn it is.
I got this swing for my 3-year-old, who's very active and has the attention span of a...well, a 3-year-old. This was back in August, and he and his older brother play with it every day. It's by far one of my best purchases. I also love that a portion of the proceeds goes to autism research and therapy.Installation was fairly easy. The ceiling bracket has four holes, all meant to screw into a joist, but I couldn't find a spot where all four would line up with a joist. So, two are in a joist. It's held up just fine, but I wish the instructions were clearer here.Overall, I highly recommend the Harkla swing!
