Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 6 Bluetooth Speaker (Black)

I accidentally bought it from Harmanaudio.com after seeing they have on sale with thirft deal just $99 and free shipping. So why not? About the brand Harman Kardon is nothing to doubt about its quality if you are love listening music thru speakers especially bass ones. I am also turn it into mini karaoke and my family really really love it. The sound comes out so amazing and the battery lasts 8 hour and it can connect with 2 devices at the same time to spread out the music. They have more models more options for buyers. In general, 5 stars so farrr

Amazing Bluetooth Speaker

I’ve purchased all other portable Bluetooth speakers around the $500 - $600 price point and nothing else comes close to how deep the bass can get along with keeping the clarity of the meds and high once you place the volume on max. I’m looking into buying another one in order to make my sound experience a stereo experience. Definitely recommend this product. One con tho, is when compared to the other Bluetooth speakers around this price point is the battery life. I usually average around 7 hrs when compare to others that last around 20 hours.

Awesome sound/price

I bought this about a month ago. I previously owned a Jbl boombox 3 that I paid $469 for a refurbished one off of Amazon. The battery died after 3 months and 10 days and Amazon was ZERO help since it was 10 days over the 90 day return period (of course )Thus my search for something better. My son had an original Onyx Studio - the first generation which sounded great so I checked out what Harman Kardon had to offer. The 6th gen was DEEPLY discounted since the next model had already been out. So I purchased the Onyx 6. Well WOW am I impressed. Its not the JBL Boombox, but the sound is crisp, clear and PLENTY of bass to please anyone looking for a fantastic sounding bluetooth speaker! So it's superior to the JBL (they actually are the same company so both are great) ... MoreI bought this about a month ago. Exceeded Expectations

I have wanted one of these since the Onyx 5 so when I saw the Onyx 6 on sale for $199 I didn't hesitate. And man I am glad I didn't because this thing packs a punch. It's so clean and clear with a crisp sound. The bass is very good you can feel the bass if you're close enough but the best part it doesn't drown out the sound. It's very well balanced! I brought it to work and was jamming out and a couple of co workers were like wow. So they ended up buying 1 for themselves. I have no doubt that it's worth the $480 original price but at $199 it's a smoking deal. If you get it on sale don't hesitate just buy it you won't be disappointed.

Great if on sale

4.5 I got this when it was on sale. It's a great speaker but I feel like I might blow it, so I'm glad I got the extend warranty. I like really loud music and have a larger than normal living room so I wish it was a bit louder. When I used in a regular sized room like a bathroom or larger bedroom this is awesome. I wish the speaker stayed in stereo mode when paired with another Bluetooth speaker. It's bigger than my other speakers, but it kind of blends with my home decor. Final thought, I would buy again on sale, I'd buy 2 on sale.

HORRIBLE battery life and Bluetooth

I usually don't leave reviews but I had to give my experience with these speakers. I bought 2 of these speakers based on reviews that I read and I DEEPLY REGRET IT. The positive that I can say about them is that they do have pretty good sound. But they don't give anywhere NEAR the 8 hour battery life that it claims! I got about 2.5-3 hours at best. The other drawback is that the Bluetooth is completely horrible! I connected to the speakers with my phone and if I walked just a couple of feet away from them, they start cutting in and out. I literally have to leave my phone laying by the speakers if I want to do ANYTHING while listening to music! I definitely wasted a lot of money on these speakers...

LOVE it! This is my 2nd one!

I bought one of these a few months ago because my JBL Boombox 2 bit the dust. I purchased that "refurbished" off of Amazon and it stopped working 10 days past the 90 day warranty period - go figure - so Amazon wouldn't honor the warranty due to the 10 day discrepancy! I don't fault Harman Kardon - not their fault - they make a GREAT product so I went searching for something from their company that would work for me. My son had an older version of the Onyx Studio. I believe it was the first one. So I looked into it and saw that they were out with the Gen 8 (I think?) And the 6 was on sale for a phenomenal price. I nabbed one and was amazed at how great it sounded. I read that you can link up 2 together, so I thought about it for a couple months and since they were still on sale, I decided to get a second one so I can link them up out at the pool and also have them in different rooms like the guest bedroom. They also look really nice. I'm very happy with both and glad I have them. Plus HK has a great warranty and free shipping and returns. Seems like a great company!

Love it

Coming from a JBL charge 4 as my go-to portable speaker I was pretty content however I had the oppurtunity to buy the Onyx at a discount and my word, is it something else. It is the nicest sounding bluetooth I have ever heard. The bass shakes the room (in a good way) and even then somehow the mids and highs stay true. And to go along with the great sound quality, the build quality is also very nice. Flocked plastic and metal fixtures only. At a non sale price of 470$ it is by no means cheap, in fact had it not been on sale I probably wouldn’t have picked it up. However if you are in the market for a very fancy and high qaulity bluetooth speaker I don’t think there are many on the market that can compare to this one.

So good even your grandma will start breakdancing

I recently purchased this speaker for my backyard BBQ and let me tell you, it's louder than my mother in laws voice after a few glasses of wine. Not only does it blast tunes like a pro, but it's also waterproof, so when I got drunk and accidentally spilled his drink on it, the music never skipped a beat. It's like having a personal DJ that never takes a break or requests a song you hate. Plus, it's so portable that I can take it with me to the beach and pretend I'm a cool old surfer lady. If you're looking for a speaker that will make your neighbors jealous and your parties legendary, this is the one for you. Just be prepared for the sudden urge to dance like nobody's watching.

Upgrade speaker

After 6 years my smaller speaker could no longer keep a charge. Best Buy had a large selection of blue tooth speakers to select from.I chose HK for name and price. I believe the model is being upgraded and this model was discounted.I have used it on and off for a month or more with perfect reliability. I play my ipod through the speaker and love the sound. This speaker carries a deeper bass than my previous speaker. It is perfect for listening to music outside. The speaker does NOT have a battery meter but has played in excess of 8 hours straight. This speaker is bigger than i would travel with but built sturdy and has a comfortable built-in handle. I have not tested the waterproofing but when not plugged in, the port seals.
