This speaker is AMAZING sonically. It plays music with excellent elegant quality neck and neck with Bose and surpassing Sonos speakers, The Onyx 8 adjusts the sound based on placement and it radiates through an entire 2-story stone house. The engineer in me has 2 suggestions1.) Update the app and firmware to give a better battery indication, perhaps a percentage2.) Allow the USB service port to be used as a charge or quick charge option 8 hours is a long time for a full charge.otherwise, i have been through almost every JBL Charge option offered (2 thru 4) and this has been my new mobile solution. I like this product=.

Was lucky enough to test this product via Reviewclub. For being a wireless speaker, I was very surprised at how amazingly high sound and bass it delivers.Easy to move, if you want to take it outside or other rooms in the house.Incredibly easy to connect and can also be used to receive calls since it has a built-in microphone and a separate phone button on the device. The design is nice to look at and is easy to use.I think the battery life is very good for what it delivers in terms of sound and duration.Recommend this to others who are looking for a wireless speaker that both delivers good sound and quality.

The Onyx 8 is a beautiful piece of technology. It is not only because it has a great sound, but also because it looks good. The connection to the smartphone is simply established via Bluetooth and you're ready to go.The highlight of the speaker is that it adapts the sound to the respective room in a few seconds. However, this works sometimes more sometimes less well. That's why I would like to have the option of adjusting it myself via an app.Calls can also be made well with the Onyx Studio 8. The sound of the caller's voice is clear and your own voice is also well understood and perceived. All in all, the sound is very good, from techno to classical. The battery life is fine for me, averaging 5 hours. Charging takes about 6 hours, so it's a good idea to do ... I think that this wastes some of the possibilities for integrating the device properly into the home. All in all, I can recommend the speaker.

I've had this for 2 weeks now and I've been playing classical music, heavy metal, rock, opera, techno, power metal and so on. What I can't wrap my head around is why can't they make them with wifi like the citation 200? Or atleast being able to change the sound in an app to fit the listeners preference?I'm pretty picky with sound and this one has too much discant for my taste and not enough punch. The last one, Onyx 7 had way to much bass. I would have loved it if I was able to modify the sound a bit. For some reason I really like the sound in citation 200. The sound in Onyx studio 8 is clear and even if you play loud, it will give you a clear vocal and sound. I know a lot of people love the sound in them, it's probably just me who's picky.Design wise it looks ... And they have finally made the powerchord just a plug in! That's a plus. All in all it's an ok speaker and I would reccomend it to the people who arent as big a soundnerd as I am.
The box arrived well packaged to me.The connection via Bluetooth was quick and easy, but that should be the standard by now.The design is classic and timeless, but fits almost every modern interior. Practical is also the carrying handle with which you can easily carry the music box to other rooms. Now to the most important the sound is great, the bass is nice and powerful and the battery is very durable. Was last on a move with friends the box ran there the whole day through. From the dimensions amazes the rich sound in the small box. Also the adaptive sound depending on the room is well done.I can give here quite clearly 5 stars, the device does what it should and exceeds my expectations by far in terms of sound and design.
I have now tested this speaker for over a month and Iam really happy with it. At first, the design of the speaker was a bit too futuristic to me. But in the meantime I really like this design and in the right environment it really looks cool. After testing speakers with Alexa and even wlan features, this speaker is really „simple“. It has an Aux Channel and Bluetooth. But it doesn’t need more. The Bluetooth connectivity is really good and any device did connect to the speaker. The only thing I miss is the possibility to switch the speaker on when I connect a device. At the moment I have to switch the device on with hand. But now the most important thing - the sound. The sound is really fantastic. It is a full sound, with good bass, but not too loud that it overrides the middle tones. It can get really loud and even than the sound is really good and did not overtune.I bought the speaker for my living room, but with the power to take the speaker with me and play music for 8 hours it really is a dealbreaker. This is not a speaker to take with you every day, but for special occasions I love to have this speaker now.
we recently purchased Onyx Studio 8 and are thrilled. We were expecting a well-made and nice sounding speaker, but the mono speaker really surprised us with the sound it produced. It's a pleasure to turn on the speaker every time and hear the sonorous "start" sound with that little bass thump.Speaking of bass: the bass of the almost 4 KG heavy box is very rich! depending on placement, the bass can be perceived well even in adjacent rooms, so that you think that somewhere ne really big party is going on ;)Due to the well portable design, the small sound miracle was already used in all rooms of our apartment. When showering, it drowns out the splashing water (if you want that) or underlines the cooking with powerful sounds.I would also like to have a second ... For the general garden party, a sit-in with friends or just to listen to music everywhere, a clear buy recommendation!
I recently purchased the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 and I have been extremely pleased with my purchase. The speaker has a sleek and modern design that looks great in any room of my house. The sound quality is outstanding, with deep bass and clear highs. I have been using it to play music, podcasts, and even to take calls and it has been working great. I love that it has a built-in microphone for taking calls and a weather-resistant build, it makes it perfect to use it both indoor and outdoor. The battery life is also very good and can last up to 8 hours of playtime. The Party mode feature allows you to connect multiple speakers together for an even bigger sound experience, which I think is really cool. The device is quite large and heavy for a Bluetooth box - at least compared to the portable bluetooth boxes on the market. However, it is probably more intended for home use and less for outdoors. The handle makes it easy to carry from room to room. The box is quickly connected to the mobile device and the functions can be executed via a few buttons. These are not necessarily self-explanatory - e.g. the earpiece button is also used to skip tracks - but are well explained in a quick guide. The sound is much better compared to smaller (and also cheaper) bluetooth speakers, especially the bass is heard more. The round shape also contributes to the surround sound.Visually, I like the box well and fits well into many interior styles.
I've been testing the new Onyx Studio 8 for round about 4 weeks. Opening the box, the first thought I had was: "Wow. This looks simple, but still great". The speaker looked great in my room, and guests also mentioned how good it looks. So the design is a 10/10.Unfortunately the sound was not, how I expected it to be. The first minute it was great. But after listening to some music for 30 minutes, me and my boyfriend noticed, that there is way to much bass. Maybe there is an app to make some adjustments? No. I did not find a way to change the sound to my satisfaction. For that reason I can not really recommend this speaker for me. Some may like it, but I am not that kind of person.
