This book is a little longer than the previous books, but the imagination never lets up, and gradually Harry's world is widening.I would recommend this book to ANYONE (any age) who enjoys the writings of Roald Dahl, C.S. Lewis, Madeleine L'Engle, or J.R.R. Tolkien. This is a very fun, humourous, and enjoyable fantasy novel, and one that should be read more than once!

These books are amazing! HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the third in the series and the darkest in terms of themes compared to the first two books. I read my daughter all 7 books a couple of years ago and we are on our second read through currently. She is enthralled in Harry's world and it has made her love for reading and storytelling grow greatly.

Out of all the HP Books this one has be to be my all time favourite. It has a more darker theme and a more bleaker side to the world of wizardry which makes for a perfect setting into the next half of the series. I have re-read this story over and over, and probably will continue to do so when I need a fresh hit of nostalgia.

This book is a continuation of the Harry Potter series. Harry goes to hogwarts, which is a school for wizards. A criminal is after him because he was falsely blamed for his parents murder. Plot twist, it’s not what you think. It’s such a good read that gives the reader an escape for a few hours.

A good buy

I bought all the illustrated books recently and randomly decided to start reading this one first. I do like that this is actually the British version of the book - using their punctuation style, words, etc. It was fun noticing those little changes, like "course schedule" in the US version being "timetable" in this one. However, I was disappointed by the lack of illustrations. There are often long stretches of pages with no pictures, or with little tiny pictures in the corner or throughout the page that are really not important to the story. I am only halfway through this book, but I was surprised there was no illustration of Christmas at Hogwarts or the Firebolt. Absolutely unforgettable.A MUST read

The 3rd installment to this 7-part series undoubtedly delivers a mix of nostalgia and engagement never seen before in a children's book. An ability to captivate a range of audiences from children to adults is what makes Prisoner of Azkaban undeniably the best Harry Potter novel thus far in the series. The perfect balance of refresh and recount is met by Rowling throughout the entirety of this book. Introductions to new characters such as Lupin and Black prove to be a welcome addition to this beloved series. This strong 3rd novel in the series leaves readers with no choice but to continue with the series.

Beautiful version of a classic

Beautiful illustrations. These are books which you will keep forever. They belong in a collection. Gave them to my son as he’s 9 and is overwhelmed by books with no illustrations. This helps. He was excited to read them.

Great book ans great illustrations

This is the 3rd book illustrated by Jim Kay and we absolutely love it. My son is very visual and having these wonderful illustrations further deepens my sons interested in wanting the read these books. I believe so far there are only 4 of the book series with Jim Kay illustrations. I hope the rest of the series will soon be available. I highly recommended it.

Seen the movie, finally read it!

The differences between the film and book make the book so worthwhile reading. Definitely recommend all fans of the movies to at least try out the books the added stories and characters that the movie never even touched. This edition too, I love the cover and of course the hardcover is always a nice touch.
