This is a great game - it made me feel nostalgic as I was given this game as a kid 30 or so years ago!I love that a Harry Potter spin has been put on it! The packaging was perfect and the game pieces are very high quality. The first few times I played this were with an almost 5 y/o, so I followed the instructions for how to play with younger children, and that worked well. This game definitely requires you to be strategic and think a few moves ahead.I agree with those who’ve said that it would be nice if the cards could include character names. All in all, this is a fun, somewhat challenging game for all ages! I would definitely recommend it! One note - I did receive a free copy of the game in exchange for an honest review.

A very well made game with clear instructions which my granddaughters aged 7 and 10 got to grips with very quickly. It was not necessary to know a great deal about Harry Potter which was good for me. The game stands alone without this knowledge. We all enjoyed the game and soon worked out strategies for winning but you also needed an element of luck to win. A very good buy I strongly recommend it.

Sometimes games are very involved and have a long learning curve before you really begin to enjoy them - that was not the case with this one. We were able to set-up the game and start playing in 5 minutes - which I love! The game itself took about 25 minutes, but was still fun and required using some logic navigate the ever-changing gameboard. My husband who isn't a fan of board games actually really liked this one, and ranked it a 8/10, which is very high for him. We played with 2 players and it was fun, but I can see how 3 or 4 would be even better. We will be playing again with friends soon. The Harry Potter theme is really secondary to the game,m, but any Harry Potter fan will appreciate the diverse characters and all the small pictures that decorate the ... I hate when game pieces are just loose in the box. Very nice feature.Only negatives for me is the size of the character pictures on the board. They are about the size of a coin, and you have to match your card to them without letting your opponents know. With such a small picture it's hard to tell if it is Ron, Harry, or Neville in the black robe and not make it obvious to the other players. Also, the pieces dont always move as smoothly as I would like. This may get better with use.Overall a fun game that is a bit different from the usual.I received a copy of this game free if charge. The above review is my honest opinion.

As an early reviewer, I received this game in exchange for my honest opinion. This is a new family favorite. Especially for my 8 year old that knows all the Harry Potter characters. Easy to learn, appropriate game duration of 20-30 minutes max, with a different feel and setup every time, it's perfect for family game night. My only complaint is with the game color design. The path ways and the background are too similar in color which makes it difficult sometimes to know which way the tokens connect. Otherwise very happy with this game and would recommend to any game-loving family.
My family enjoyed playing this game together. It's an entertaining and fun game for both kids and adults. I played this game with my husband, 8-year-old and 5.5-year-old. As suggested in the directions, we modified the rules for the 5.5-year-old by allowing him to look at all his cards in the beginning to decide which character he wanted to capture. This made it easy for all of us to play together and still find it challenging. It was fun to play with the Harry Potter theme because we could talk about the different characters as we were playing. We gave this 4 out 5 stars because 1) we wished that the names of the characters were written on the cards, as there were some we didn't recognize or remember and 2) the tile cards were a little difficult for us to slide all ... Not your average board game! This game is so fun and is a big hit at our house. Our kids keep asking to play it every day! The board is always changing, so no two games are the same. It is also fun to plan out and try to teach strategy to the younger kids. There are instructions to make it easier to play with younger kids. We played with 2 adults and a 7 year old and a 4 year old. Love the Harry Potter characters added in to make a fun twist on the game. The characters come from throughout all the different movies, so that is fun as a fan! The pieces are all of great quality, this game should last for years to come of family game nights! As an early reviewer, I received this game in exchange for my honest opinion.
On the face of it this is a simple game but actually rewards a worked out strategy, or at least that was what I assumed when we first set it up with the grandchildren. I was quickly disabused when beaten in no short order by our 6 year-old grandson. We played it numerous times over the Christmas holidays and always had loads of fun and laughter despite a game system which takes less than 5 minutes to read and understand. Highly recommended for all families.
This game is great to play with a family, for adults, or with kids. I'm a Harry Potter fam so I was excited to try this game out. As an early reviewer, I received a copy of the game in exchange for my honest opinion. The instructions are easy to understand and set up is simple. The game can be made easier for playing with kids, but as a family of 3 adults we had a great time. You can try to plan out your moves ahead of time but the board is always changing so it is a fun challenge! The only thing I would have liked to be different is the names of the characters on the cards corresponding with the characters on the board for playing with people who are not familiar with Harry Potter. It took a bit of time for my girls (4 and 6) to get used to the game, mainly because it is the first strategic game we have played with them, but they now absolutely love it, and so do we, because it means we can finally stop playing snakes and ladder! :-)My 6 yo got it pretty much straight away so do not worry about the age limit of 7. With my 4 yo, we have to give her clues and tell her which character she should try to get to or make the first move for her but because she loves Harry Potter she doesn’t give up.All in, this is a brilliant game to get children interested in more grown up board games. Now, the only issue left to is the girls arguing because obviously they both want Hermione…As an early reviewer, I received a copy of the game in exchange for ... As an early reviewer, I received this game in exchange for my honest opinion. My 7 year old daughter is starting to get bored with the games we have as they are too simple for her. We played Harry Potter Labyrinth with the instructions for the younger user, and it’s a hit - she keeps asking to play it. She’s thinking and strategizing - it’s challenging but not so challenging it’s frustrating. And, it keeps me interested too. I love that it’s a game we won’t ‘grow’ out of quickly and will keep our interest. And, it’s different every play. My 4 year old got into it too and joined me to find a path through the maze.At 7, she’s a Harry Potter fan but she is only on book 2 of the series so she doesn’t know all of the characters yet – but that doesn’t seem to bother ... It almost intrigues her to read more. I do wish the characters on the board were a bit bigger as some look alike at times. The maze tiles are great thick, quality and I’m interested to see how the character cards will hold up. Overall, a great game for our family.
