Head Prestige Tour 2021 Tennis Racquet 4 3/8

(28 reviews)

The updated Head Prestige Tour tennis racquet, with the innovative new Auxetic construction, allows the technical tour player to compete with modern precision. Sensational feel is supplied by the new Auxetic construction in a modern update of a Head classic. Previously known as the Prestige Pro, the Prestige Tour is engineered for the technical tour player looking for a racquet that enables them to play precisely how they wish. A new, see-through carbon element in the frame is slightly different every time, giving your racquet its own unique identity. As part of a design update inspired by Prestige frames from the 1980s, the Prestige Tour also has a translucent Bordeaux colour that adds to its premium aesthetic. Features: 315 grams weight (unstrung) 16 x 19 string pattern 95 square inch head size Full cap for signature impact feel and unmistakable sound. The box beam cross-section stabilises the frame for maximum control Elongated shaft for classic flex and feel appreciated on Tour since 1987 Auxetic constructions show a unique deformation compared to non-Auxetic constructions. Due to their internal properties, Auxetic constructions widen when a โ€œpullโ€ force is applied and contract when squeezed. The bigger the applied force, the bigger the Auxetic reaction. More Details: For technical tournament players Modern precision Sensational feel Fresh, premium design Distinctive, see-through carbon element This racquet comes pre-strung and doesn't include a racquet cover.

Great racket, a bit stiffer than the previous Prestige 360+ MP. Came strung with Lynx Tour @52, a pretty decent combination.

Awesome racquet

Well engineered racquet with plush feel. String tensions I tried so far = 46 lbs, 49 lbs, 52 lbs, 54 lbs. 46lbs is a little low unless you can swing very fast. The swing weight is very high and only 5pts headlight. I tried to bring it closer to 8pts headlight with a leather grip but the overall mass was too much for me. I eventually settled on 2g lead under the hydrosorb grip and 1g lead in the throat for stability/balance with about 1g split between 3 and 9 in the head. That's the maximum customisation I could handle. Gives lots of power, esp. on one handed backhand, and feel is very good for drop shots and stop volleys.

Fabulous racquet

Great racquet. Light weight but very powerful. Looks great too. Have used BABOLAT in the past but this racquet is far, far better. So much easier to control the ball & hit great shots. So pleased with this.

Felt in love with the very first swing...
14 April 2022

I switched to it (demoing it first) after playing with Speed Pro for 5 years. Love it... it's a beast if you know how to handle it. This rig, for sure, is not for the beginner or even intermediate players, IMHO.

Players looking for a 95 sq. in. frame should definitely give this a try.

I was concerned with the negative feedback it might not arrive, but it turned up in 7 days to New Zealand. Would buy again from them. Their communication isn't great but the goods and price is!

Racquet nobody talks about

You barely see this racquet in tennis clubs.Very plush, very stable. It requires solid technique.String pattern is fairly tight in the middle. Feels like somewhere between 16x19 and 18x20When you look at specs it is sort of similar to Djoko's racquet.Overall excellent frame!!!!95sq5pts headlight22mm beam

Really comfortable Prestige
16 November 2022

So I switched to these after using the former 'pro' model from 2019. This is a nice update! A little more user friendly, but still definitely a control racket. Currently I have Luxilon Original @56lbs. Definitely favors full swings, topspin and aggressive play. Doesn't punish your arm if you're a little off center which is nice coming from the previous Prestige. I would recommend if you have a confident game style, big swing and willing to spend a little time learning the racket.Currently I play USTA 4.5, single hand backhand, aggressive baseliner.
