I can't say this is a product we would normally buy. First of all, the product is made in New Zealand, I have no idea where the ingredients came from. In addition, we are quite happy for baked bean to be in the typical tomato sauce. This size of can is good for a single serve of meals. The ham sauce is nothing I'll write home about. It appears to have a slightly smoky flavour but I struggle to distinguish it from the normal tomato sauce flavour of our preferred brand of baked beans. Otherwise, it is typical baked beans. I believe the price is the same as the classical tomato sauce variety, I certainly would not pay extra for this flavour.

The can was a great size to use as a side to the big breakfast we cooked last weekend. Eaten with bacon, eggs, mushrooms and toast. The ham flavour is pleasant and is my preference over the usual tomato flavoured sauce. This served 6 of us as a side and was quick and easy to cook and add. The remaining sauce was easily mopped up with the toast at the end. ItβΓΓ΄s a cheap, filling additional to breakfast or could be a meal on its own with a slice of toast or in a jaffle.

I have to admit, I had already made judgement about the product before even tasting it. All I could picture was spam ham flavour. Surprisingly when I tried it, it was actually delicious. My son loved it too!It tastes like smokey baked beans and the ham flavour was as pronounced as I thought. The texture felt the same & the sauce consistency is a little thicker than regular baked beans. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is that I found it to be quite salty. I would definitely be considering purchasing this product again in the future.

We enjoyed the Heinz Baked Beanz in Ham sauce both cold and also heated in the saucepan. I enjoyed it cold as a quick snack. We heated it on the stove and I also enjoyed the softness of the beans with my eggs. On a low heat it was a nice side to my eggs. It was not too salty, and I added extra salt to my dish. In terms of the ham sauce, I could not taste anything distinctly different to the original tomato sauce. Overall I enjoyed eating the beans. Same baked beans I would always expect from Heinz
I haven't eaten baked beans in years. In my mind I had an image that I did not like them. I tried the baked beans on toast for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised that I truly enjoyed, to the extent that I will buy more of the product in the future. The taste had a hint of ham flavour; not too much. The list of ingredients showed some (small amount) of ham in the product. Overall texture was good, the beans tasted good, the sauce also tasted good. The can was slightly difficult to open.
By itself it is petty tasty so would be happy to eat that way as long as it was heated up. I thought I would try and do something different and use in a Bake Bean, Banana salad with sesame seeds on top. It was okay to eat and a little smooth although you couldn't eat to much at one time which would be helpful on a diet. Worth a try as it is something different t do with Baked Beans in Ham sauce.
I was a bit dubious about trying this product because I am not a fan of ham but I do love baked beans. I found the ring pull very easy to pull off. I loved the illustrations of the three suggested ways to serve it. It had two ways to heat it. I chose the saucepan method and it heated beautifully within a few minutes. I served it with buttered toast and a cup of tea for our dinner. I was most pleasantly surprised by the lovely flavour of the sauce. It was only. 2% ham but this was perfect for me. My husband who likes ham said it was the perfect flavour too. The beans were a nice texture. It was a very nice, nutritious meal and I will be buying this for our pantry in future.
Heinz Beanz baked beans in ham sauce is a tasty treat! Don't be fooled by the ham sauce as its naturally high in dietary fibre, low in fat and is a great source of protein. The can itself has a 4-star health rating. You can cook up a meal for your two little ones, include it as a breafast side for the family or any other serving suggestion in mind. Cooking is easy via stove or microwave.
These where so tasty. Made a quick easy dinner. Didn't feel like cooking after a huge week at work I was exhausted. Quickly heated these up and served with some eggs and toast. Loved the added ham flavour a nice change from the usual tomato. Was a hit. Kids loved them, even the big kids. I will definitely buy again.
I loved the product, it very versatile for our home we made toasties out of them and the kids ate it all. The texture is lumpy being beans but when you chew it up it becomes mushy and it leaves a lovely flavour of smokiness and ham which perfectly complement each other. The advertising is great too its an excellent display of what the product entails. Very satisfied with the product not a bad thing to say
