You can’t beat a good hot bowl of soup with a crusty buttery roll on a cold winters day. Heinz cream of mushroom soup does not disappoint on days like these, it’s lovely and creamy with plenty of mushroom prices, just the right amount of seasoning too. This would also be good as a sauce base if you are making a homemade chicken and mushroom pie or creamy chicken with rice.

I love this soup so much. So many uses than just a soup. I use it in chicken pie as the gravy. I've used it stir frys. Everyone loves my pies and stir frys and this is my secret ingredient my cheat sauce the secret is out the bag its a must try. From a lovely bowl of soup that's full of flavour and your sauce in a pie. Trust me try it.

Every time I have a mug of this soup, it reminds me of my very young days when my parents would give us this treat as a wintery luxury and we would all huddle around the heater drinking it!To this day, it is still a favourite. Creamy, rich and satisfying but not just as a soup but a good basis as a sauce for a chicken stew.Love it! Also so much easier to use with a ring pull lid than having to fight with a tin opener. My only gripe is the tin size is getting smaller!

This soup makes a perfect lunch on a cold miserable day! It is warming and delicious. Lovely strong chicken flavour and rich and creamy. Very inviting smell. Will be my go to flavour from now on. Obviously not as good as homemade, but given the fact that you just have to open the tin and heat it up, it makes a great substitute!!
Have been buying this for years and can’t fault it. The soup is delicious with bits of chicken in it. Goes well with some buttered bread or a buttered roll or baguette.2 minutes in the microwave and it’s ready to go. Also highly recommended if your feeling unwell, some warm soup always makes you feel better
This is a great store cupboard item. Not only as a (rather nice) soup, but also as a quick sauce for different kinds of things such as chicken breasts. It is creamy with some mushrooms in it. You can add more mushrooms if you are using it as a sauce. It is so versatile. As a soup it is comforting, tasty, reminds you of your student days. It is a classic.
As the nights draw in and it gets chilly outside, finding the right thing to eat to keep you toasty warm can be a challenge. This is where the Heinz Cream of Mushroom Soup comes into its own, I love it, I sometimes just have it on its own and sometimes I will have it with toasted bread, either way it makes such a delicious taste and it warms you up. The thing I need to emphasise is that you can actually taste the lovely mushroom and that's great for me as I love mushrooms!. Heinz are great, you just know you are getting a quality product, from the clear labelling to the way the soup pours out of the tin, also the tin size is just right to stack in the cupboard, so there's no excuse to not stock them away. This just gives you the nice choice of what to have, and what a choice, lovely soup, I even take them to work, the tin slips into my work bag and I have this at lunchtime, wonderful…
Never know if this is to rate an item or a service ?Anyway, tins arrives in good condition, and I like my chicken soup.Service : Used 3 times now. Not always happy (weather?) but always polite and offer good service, but then they can park outside and deliver to a door on same level (no stairs or lifts or grass).I would certainly keep using them.
This soup smells so good, and it hits you from the second you open the tin. Rich chicken in a delightful creamy sauce, which when heated, smells divine! The soup has a good balance of flavour, and provides a lovely hearty meal. There's plenty creaminess to dunk your bread in, and I found that it gave all round satisfaction. This is just as nice to dip bread, as it is to drink from a cup, and instantly provides comfort and warmth. Ideal if you're looking for something quick, but filling.
This soup is what you remember from your childhood. So whats not to like. Perfect for a speedy lunch with some toast / crusty bread. However where it comes into its own is a cheap cheat! Whole chicken (2kg approx - £7.50ish) in the casserole (I browned it a bit but really no need - any jelly like skin can be removed later, but its all flavour baby!) Chicken out, put to side. Pack of streaky bacon (£2.55) fried off in chicken fat (you could leave this out but adds to flavour). Then added diced white onion, 2 celery sticks, 2 carrots (call that £1?). 4 cloves of minced garlic. (50p max). Knorr stock pot thingy (30p each). Sprinkling of thyme, rosemary and a couple of bay leaves. Glug of worcestershire, Then 2 tins of cream of chicken soup (£1.30ish for the 2 tins), 1 ... MoreThis soup is what you remember from your childhood. So whats not to like. Added the whole chicken back in. Cooked in the oven, fan 160 lid on, for about 3-4 hours (I won't say how much on electric cost!) Once the chicken was melting off the bone, took it out the pot, stripped the meat, ripped into chunky bits put back into the pot, stirred in along with half a bag of frozen mixed veg (£1). Let that cook off again for 30mins. So that enormous pot for less than £15. Got 7 massive portions (could've stretched it to 8 or 9 easily) We had with mash, then crusty bread another night. Less than £2 per portion all in. OR even easier, fry off some chunky chopped onion and garlic, squish of tomato puree. Pop in some left over chicken, mushrooms if you have any. Add a tin or 2 of soup and some water, heat through add some rice (I used micro bag!) heat through for 20 mins. Serve! Your spoon will stand up in this soup! Fabulous cheat!
