Love this soup. Great taste. Can use as a starter before your meal. Or as a quick lunch fix. Done in the microwave in two minutes. Add basil or cheese. Delicious with bread and butter or toast. Or bread with Philadelphia cheese.

Perhaps it is the creamy texture, as creamy textures often appeal to the majority of us due to the general nutritional values of products with creamy textures. In other words, its natures instinct to enjoy creamy products! I have had this soup for many years and it is best enjoyed in colder weather as a winter warmer or as a hot lunchtime treat when I'm bored of sandwiches and crave something hot.--How to make--Soup from a tin is simple! Simply pour the can into a microwaveable vessel, preferably a bowl! Heat for 2 minutes (depending on the wattage of your microwave - check the instructions for more info on this) then take it out, give it a good stir then pop it back in for a minute. If you have stored your soup in the fridge for freshness, then it will need longer than this to be heated through. However, it is storable for a very long time in any cupboard at room temperature.--How does the tomato compare to others in the range--I have only tried the cream of mushroom soup which I liked the first time I tried it, however the most recent time I tried it, I found it bland and watery and it tasted a bit like milk! Which wasn't that nice! I can only blame this on having mushroom soup of superior qualityAbsolutely brilliant tomato soup, best tomato soup ever in my humble opinion! Prefer it to Heinz mushroom soup, they are great at tomatoey products it seems! I wouldn't choose any other brand for tomato soup unless someone can recommend me a really nice one. I doubt I could make tomato soup better myself so this wins. Easy to make and cheap, a real winner - 5 stars!

Out of all the tomato soups I have tried, I still come back to Heinz. It's thick and creamy, tastes just right, with plenty of flavour. Even the cup-a-soup version is really nice too. One downside is the price, but I buy when on offer and it's worth it.

Heinz Cream Of Tomato Soup is lovely!! It’s thick, creamy and delicious! It goes great with lots of different types of bread. Buttered tiger bread is my personal favourite. It’s great comfort food in the colder seasons and Also great for using as a base in different dishes!
This has been a regular buy for many years but not any more, not prepared to pay £1.70 a tin. Have also stopped buying Heinz beans due to similar extortionate price increase. Shame, they have lost a lifelong customer.
I was looking forward to this so much. I love a good tin of heinz tomato soup, it's my go to any time snack or light meal. Unfortunately, this pot soup is nothing like the original recipe. As soon as I peeled the lid open it was obvious that this was not the same as is in a tin. The colour was very different, almost brown like oxtail. I thought Ok, it can't taste different, it's heinz! How wrong I was. After heating and pouring into my bowl, there was a darker residue left in the bottom of the pot, almost like undissolved powder. Now for the taste...well one word, yuck! Although there is a slight tomato soup taste, it is nothing at all like the tinned Heinz soup. I was very disappointed. I thought, maybe the plastic tub had something to do with it. Although there is a slight tomato soup taste, it is nothing at all like the tinned Heinz soup. I was very disappointed. I thought, maybe the plastic tub had something to do with it. So, I bought another one. This time I opened it fully and poured it into a pan to heat. The same dark residue was at the bottom of the pot, the colour was the same as the last one and regardless of pan or microwave, the taste was just as wrong as the first one. Never again! Heinz you have massively let yourselves down with this product!
Bought eight for £1.00 each. OK for the price but wouldn't pay full price. Wouldn't have bought eight but took notice of the good reviews and thought I would take a chance. Can only think others have not tasted Baxters, which in my opinion are the best, but I wouldn't pay full price for those either.
A childhood favourite that has never been usurped soupwise!!! Handy for a lunch when stuck for an alternative or a way of warming up at this time of year this soup will always deliver and provide nostalgia of school lunch times!!!!
What has Heinz done to the recipe? It's much thinner, not creamy and doesn't taste at all as it used to. Thought it might be the tin, so opened another - but that was the same. If this isn't my sense of taste that's gone weird, it's a national tragedy.
who does not love the flagship Tomato soup from Heinz? Flavourful and warming, it is a delight especially on a cold wet evening. Be daring and break up your bread and throw it in there to soak a bit before eating, your mouth will love you forever. And if you want to try a new twist, sprinkle with a little worcestershire sauce before eating.... ahhhhhhh.....
