[This review was collected as part of a promotion. ] I gave my 10 month old daughter the Heinz Little Treats Strawberry & Vanilla Custard food pouch to try as a dinner treat. I tried the custard myself prior to giving it to her, and it had a strong strawberry flavour to it and a smooth creamy texture. I did find it had a bit of a strange after taste after trying it. My baby also did not seem to prefer this pouch compared to the fresh fruit ones - she only had a few tastes of it and did not really go back. This might be one that she would need several times to become accustomed to, and perhaps other babies would enjoy it more as my daughter is primarily used to more savoury foods.

It's not something that I'd be giving my kids too often because of the sugar factor but as the name suggests, as a "Little Treat" every now and then I think it's great. My 7 month old has never opened her mouth as wide as when I offered her this. She loved it. I ate some too and I can see why- I'd happily eat this as my dessert.

They are also freezable which is a nice tasty way to comfort her whilst she is teething. I appreciated Heinz advertise this as a "treat" as it is a little high in sugar and I wouldn't have realised otherwise.

She did eat two teaspoons of the vanilla custard which I considered a success! However, I was disappointed to see that there is added sugar in the custard. I would not purchase this product in the future due to the added sugar.

The consistency was good compared to other brands that are runnier. After having a taste I quite enjoyed it. However I was concerned at the amount of sugar per serve, as I thought it was a bit high for baby food.

It was conveniently packaged, easy to dispense into a bowl or directly onto the spoon. It got eaten without crying, refusal or complaints which is good. But at the end of the day, for what you get compared to what you pay it really is a rip off, when you can cook similar at home, in bulk, and save yourself a fortune. These are ideal for 'away from home'.

They absolutely love these and take no time to demolish them. Forget a bowl and spoon, they just take it and head straight off. No one wants to fight a hungry child, might loose a finger!

Great to hear that this product do not have any artificial colours or flavours. I will definatly purchase this product again in near future. Might also buy other flavours as well for a little twist.
