Good thick and creamy consistency, but any potential flavour is overly dominated by salt, unfortunately. So much salt is needless here, would be great it Heinz could review and reduce it, no point including leek if its flavour can’t be detected

Reasonable value but only when it's heavily discounted. Frankly I wouldn't pay full price. It's over salted and the leek contribution is minimal. When it's cheap, it makes a decent base for a slow cooker meal or more complex soup, but as a stand-alone I'm afraid it doesn't impress.

Simply add potato, and then add leek... and add a few spices. Result ... food. Only 32 % of vegetables in a vegetable soup is mainly a tin of water and skim milk. The price is way too high for this. Surely they can afford to add just a few extra spuds for us?

Thought this would be just some bland potato tasting thing, but was quite pleasantly surprised! at the sharp spicy taste, not something I will buy on a regular basis but will defenitely keep some in stock for those days I can't make my mind up.
Despite it looking unappetising it was absolutely delicious and would recommend it. I'm a student and traded one of my tomato soups for a can of my flatmate's leek and potato soup and actually preferred it! The only downfall is the way it looks, adding a herb to give it some colour or leaving larger chunks rather than medium-sized ones would make it look better. Would definitely buy again.
For a tinned soup this is really tasty and excellent value. However, we are so glad that your fresh leek and potato soup mix is back on the selves. All of your fresh soup mixes are delicious.
I don't normally write a review but I found this not to my liking. I was expecting something thick and creamy but mine was watery and slightly on the vinegary side. There is also way too much pepper in it. It is leaving a weird burny peppery/vinegary aftertaste in my mouth. All in all, I hate it but had to eat it as no other option available during my lunch period. I love Heinz usually but this one is one to avoid. It is giving me the impetus to make it myself.
It’s Heinz so what can you say? Well, I find their soups a bit lacking in seasoning these days. I have to add salt and pepper at least, for the more savoury ones like beef I find myself adding some Bovril. But the quality of their ingredients is as high as ever.
Like wallpaper paste, purchased after avoiding Heinz for years now because leek and potato soup has become hard to find. Flavourless, gloopy, expensive and like everything Heinz overhyped. Heinz has a chokehold on the British public as the best. It no longer is and hasn’t been for a very long time IMO.
I couldn’t even get it to empty cleanly into a pan, easily, for reheating.I found it bland and tasteless. It wasn’t a soup as much as poorly mashed potato. I tried a couple of spoonfuls and decided to tip it down the toilet.I do admit to having poor appetite due to illness.
