I already have chair ones and sunset chairs… this is a great addition for activities low to the ground. Washing the dog… stoking a camp fire. Packs up small.

Good for a short rest, but impractical for long periods of sitting after a long day of hiking.I'd like to see a slightly larger and higher version on the next generation which would probably make sitting for longer more comfortable.

While it’s well built and everything, the Stool is kinda short. For me it’s hard getting that low and up again. Although, it does make a gray footstool.

Love this stool for short sitting sessions when you are getting up and down frequently. Very easy to get on and off the stool for a place to comfortably support your bodyweight while fiddling with the campfire, lacing up shoes or for any activity where a more engaged posture is desired. For really long periods of sitting and relaxing I would choose a chair with back support.Set up is super simple and takes a few seconds. Can also be used as a nifty foot stool with your camp chair. The quality seems high and it should last for many years and will be worth the cost.Really tall people may prefer a slightly higher stool. Easy set up, lightweight. I use this as a sitting stool, footstool, and small table to set down my mug. Compact enough to bring along on a day hike or backcountry camping. Only issue is it’s pricey but it’s well made and should last a while. I have the chair zero also.
I keep this in the car for something to sit on after a long run. Good for changing shoes too. Nice that it doesn’t take up too much space.Looking forward to adding it to my backpacking gear as an ottoman.
I already have a couple of Helinox chairs but this stool is handy for short trips - it is so very light and packable. Highly recommended.
I bought the stool as a companion for my rocker, thinking that it would serve as a footstool, making the rocker even more comfortable. And indeed it does. However, that turns out not to be my main use of it. I frequently do projects that require working low, having to squat for long periods. That is uncomfortable, and I have a condition that makes it hard for me to rise from a deep squat. The stool pops open in an instant and then I am comfortably seated in front of my work area.
I got this when I was looking for a super lightweight yet strong stool to tote along when health issues didn't allow for long periods of standing. Picked this after using the Helinox camp chairs for years (which I also love). It's got the perfect balance of strength vs carrying weight. It's also super easy to deploy and hadly takes up much space.
I recently purchased and then quickly returned (at my additional cost of $12.90 for return shipping) the Helinox Speed Stool. I am a 59 year old male who is 6'1 tall and weighs about 185 lbs. The Speed Stool sits only about 11 inches off the ground. The low height of the Speed Stool is insufficient for tall persons. I was also forced to bend my upper body forward in an uncomfortable manner when I sat on the stool. The low carry weight of the stool is outstanding, but the seat height and comfort are lacking. For about the same amount of money, I prefer a Walkstool comfort stool. Yes, the Walkstool weighs more than the Speed Stool, but I can sit on the Walkstool for an extended period of time in relative comfort - not so with the Speed Stool.
