I bought this for a trip to Scotland at Christmas time. We haven't had those frigid, wet temps here yet, but plenty of chilly rain. I stay dry inside, although I sweat if it's above 50 degrees. Going to be an excellent choice for winter weather! The soft lined collar and pockets are a plus. The hood is generous and stays up. I don't have a problem with blocking my vision as someone else commented. Elastic cuffs keep the rain out of my sleeves.

Loving this coat so far, although haven’t worn it in the rain yet! I’m usually a size 10ish with wide shoulders and long arms. I wasn’t sure on the sizing so ordered the L and XL. Ended up keeping the XL as the L was a little snug through the shoulders and body. Arm length is great. As other reviews mentioned, the wrists/cuffs are a bit on the tight side but they have stretch in them. Great length, weight and warmth. Overall very happy with this purchase!

My wife absolutely loves this jacket, she enjoys walking and this jacket is perfect for this, because it's light,waterproof and warm. the length is good for it covers her backside which is great in inclement weather. The only issue was the sizing of the jacket by the manufacturer. My wife usually takes a large in coats and tops if you will, but found the large fit too small across the shoulders and felt the shoulder area could rip if you crossed your arms. She ended up getting the xxextra large to get room when crossing her arms. Loves the jacket
This jacket has surprised me by its warmth. It’s very lightweight so I didn’t think I would get much wear out of it in winter. So far it’s the only jacket I’ve needed and have worn it down to -15C comfortably. It has superior wind protection so it helps with windchills. It is tapered in the middle which is figure flattering but if you have a belly or wide hips, it could be a little snug. So far I’m very pleased with the quality and function of this coat.
This jacket is worth paying the extra for the quilted lining. Fits true to size, can fit a fleece underneath for extra warmth and it is waterproof. It is a light coat so don't expect it to be super warm....I love it becaue I hate heavy coats and would rather layer. I am 5'7", 150+ lbs and a true size medium.
I wanted to like this coat more... but at 5 ft 3 and 135 lbs I am surprised that the medium size I bought rides up when I go for a long walk wearing it... I am continuously "pulling" the coat back down so it doesn't poof around the middle. Zipping the pockets closed helps but it's still an issue. I usually buy a medium or size 8 pants so the same size medium should fit in this coat ... and the coat does fit me close to the body (not much room for an extra sweater) but I'm surprised at this "riding up" issue when walking. However, for a car coat to run around and do errands it is great... lightweight but still warm enough for Southern Ontario early winter (minus 6 celsius today). I am just back from my tour in mild winter (around 10 degree) country with strong wind and heavy downpour in day 1 of the trip. This coat serves me too well in every way and best of all it looks smart. The hood is so secured over my head even with strong wind. I go back to hotel all dry and good. My husband who uses coat of another brand has to endure the chills outside for a long while...Back in our homeland I am always the one that has much lower threshold for coldness as compared to him and yet in this trip I am kept warm and good throughout. Having said that, I was also needing to replace my raincoat so it turned for the positive that I accidentally ordered this.So far out Winter in Pemberton has been mild with temperatures hovering between 4 and -1 during the day. I adjust my laying accordingly and luckily have a 3/4 lightweight down jacket that fits comfortably underneath. It will remain to be seen how efficient it will be when the temperatures dip lower.The Amythyst is a beautiful shade. A flattering style, but I wish it was cut more generously through the shoulders and arms. I have skinny arms and am not broad-shouldered, but wanted a size L for ease of layering even though I should need a medium. Also, it is weird, the coat purchased through Nordstrom's has a black reflective logo but the coat on the HH website has a bright white HH logo. I much prefer the more subtle logo (none would be even better) but Nordstrom's is sold out of the size large, so I won't be getting the coat after all.
