The jacket is great. As we enter fall and days reach 90 but nights fall into the 50s, a morning walk requires a jacket. The weight of this is perfect. I think it will also be good down to the high 30s and 40s and as a great layer below that. It is not heavy. It is light yet meets both needs. I think one of the keys may be that the lining is not sewn into the outer fabric shell so it creates an air barrier for higher effectiveness. The lining in this is soft and comfortable Even the standing collar is lined. The end of the sleeves Velcro shut tightly and there are two drawstrings in the hips so you can make it ride high on your hips like a bomber jacket. I’ve received a number of complements on the look. I have the navy. Great jacket!! Runs a little tight under the ... MoreThe jacket is great. As we enter fall and days reach 90 but nights fall into the 50s, a morning walk requires a jacket. Disclosure: I work part time as a sailing instructor at a community sailing center and received a discount on this jacket through my employer and Helly Hansen. I’m very grateful to HH for offering this discount to our organization. This jacket is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. “Mid-light weight” I’d call it - too warm for the summer, but any amount of cool in the air and this jacket is on. I was dry and comfortable for a whole, cool spring day soloing a 33’ sloop. The high collar is a huge assets that helps keep you snug while the hood fits perfectly without blocking vision, which is great. The four pockets are appropriate, plus fleece-lined to keep your hands warm.My ONLY complaint is the branding. Other than this gripe the jacket is truly amazing and I highly recommend it.

I bought these jackets for the Imperial College Sailing Club and we got them branded by an external company. When I went to pick these jackets up from the printers it started raining. Naturally, I put on my H/H jacket and was immediately impressed by the beading of the water droplets on the surface - These things are really water repellent! However, it is quite a light jacket yet the fleece lining gives it high degree of warmth and comfort. The fleecy pockets are a treat and there's a useful internal pocket in the left pocket area.Things to note:- Only the top half of the sleeves are fleece lined so the sleeves aren't too thick and there's not too much friction helping you put on a jumper without the sleeves rolling up- IMPORTANT: there's actually an internal ... MoreI bought these jackets for the Imperial College Sailing Club and we got them branded by an external company. We didn't realise this at the time and got our logos screen printed (the printers did a really bad job and they're peeling off but that's not H/H's fault) so YOU CAN GET YOUR JACKET EMBROIDERED!All our members are really happy with their jackets - we wear them both on and off the water with no problems (one of our members took his jacket skiing in France). These jackets are better value for money and look much nicer than Musto/Henri Lloyd/Gill alternatives. Thank you H/H!

I have used this product now during spring, summer, autumn and soon even winter, in rain in forest, on deck at sea under 5 degrees of Celsius and with a T-shirt in windy summer conditions at sea. It supports many kinds of usage by suitable underwear. Please note that it is slim, even the biggest 4XL sizes, and the lowest edge is almost at the same hight as the wrists. So, for very big men with signs of culinaristic interests, there is still a shortage of clothes in Helly Hansen.
I won this jacket at a work event at no charge to me so it was (tastefully) embroidered with some additional vendor logos. Its probably the best 'swag' I ever came home with from a professional conference as its very stylish, surprisingly light weight, and warmer than I expected. The micro fleece feels very cozy against your skin and I expect this to quickly replace my heavier winter coat for most days in daily use. I like the high collar and tuck away hood that is always there for unexpected bad weather. The only complaint I have (and others have that received the same jacket at my company) is that the sizes run small. I am almost always an XL size (I'm 5'11' @240lbs) but in this jacket I needed an XXL because I found it to be tight across my upper back, especially ... MoreI won this jacket at a work event at no charge to me so it was (tastefully) embroidered with some additional vendor logos. I am almost always an XL size (I'm 5'11' @240lbs) but in this jacket I needed an XXL because I found it to be tight across my upper back, especially when stretching/moving but the XXL works. Still since its the ONLY XXL I have ever purchased I think the brand just runs smaller or maybe its 'fitted' sizes that tend to not agree with my body. The person who gave it to me said a similar thing - he is always a size L but in this jacket he needed to get the XL so if you are on the fence about size go for the larger one.
I bought this crew jacket for my son and not only does it do the job of keeping the rain off and the wind out excellently, but it's stylish whilst doing it! The cut is spot on, as though it was tailor made! The collar being lined adds to the comfort, which is a true bonus in bad weather.
Superb quality jacket - especially for the price - good fit and looks really smart too. Have bought another one from elsewhere too (with a hood). Would have bought from Hollands but they didn't have in stock in my size.
The concept of a waterproof jacket with a light fleece lining works well with typical fall weather in Germany, around 9 centigrades, wind and short rainfalls. So far it keeps me dry (tested it in stronger rain and wind once so far). I am 1.89 m at 72 kgs, so I would appreciate a slightly tighter fit at the torso. But I am happy that it fits at all, as it is usually hard for me to find tops with sleeves that are long enough. Most often my only chance are pieces in XL that are not way too wide ... The stowable hood is a nice detail, and I like the inside and outside chest pockets. Maybe one HH logo less would have still been enough. I would really like to see a similar jacket as a non-waterproof windbreaker with a lighter (mesh type) lining!
Great for a few degrees Celsius above 0. Good quality construction and warm enough for the seasons mentioned. I do fear that the white colorway may show stains and such easily but nevertheless looks the best out of all the colorways. Certainly worth the extra bit of money for this compared to the 190$ version which doesn't have as much fleece inside. This is my second HH jacket and will continue to get jackets and such from HH. Much better value than Canada Goose and their overpriced stuff. As to sizing, I'm 6'2 160lbs. The Medium fits me just right but if you wanna layer underneath, a Large maybe better.
The quality of the CREW HOODED MIDLAYER JACKET is amazing. I expected good quality, not great quality. Helly Hansen is great... very stylish and modern. The jacket is covered in branding/logos; all in the right places. Logos are not too over excessive which I love. The fit is a nice... before I purchased CREW HOODED MIDLAYER JACKET I tried on the NORTHFACE MOUNTAIN LIGHT TRICLIMATE JACKET & also a PATAGONIA jacket both were size LARGE. So I assume the CREW HOODED MIDLAYER JACKET would be a size LARGE as well. But the size indicator is extremely accurate it sized to be as XL which were questionable but it was right XL was a perfect fit. The jacket does run small but advise to order a size up.
