The cut and fit is very flattering. It's a little thicker than I anticipated and I wish it had pit zips for venting. Probably a little too warm for summer rains but lined with mesh so it shouldn't stick to your skin. The outside chest pocket is too small to hold my phone so I use an inside pocket for it. Also feel a little like a walking advertisement for Helly Hansen. So not perfect for me, but looks good and does its job.

Helly Hansen gear never disappoints. This jacket in their Coastal Sailing Line is perfect for keeping you warm & dry for days on the water inshore or out hiking on windy, cool rainy days. Great value for its quality & all perks you would get in a more expensive jacket. Be warned to size up if you wish to put a sweater underneath. I usually take a small/medium in jackets, but heeded other reviews & sized up to a large, which fits perfectly for adding another thicker layer underneath. Love the length & weight & stylish design. Highly recommend.

I love my H/H jackets (parka and a lightweight fleece) but I didn't have a midlayer one so I purchased this in navy. I read everyone's reviews before deciding to go with the Large size. My ski parka is a large and I figured, it will fit like the parka. My assumption was wrong. The hooded midlayer's arms are a smidge too long (I am 5'5) but the cut of the jacket in the chest when I fully zip it up, it literally flattens my chest. I decided to keep the Large because if I up-sized, it would probably fit better in the chest but be way too big everywhere else. I did received compliments on the jacket the first time I wore it out. I love the classic colors just wish the cut was a bit better in the chest.
BEAUTIFUL crew jacket! Love the functionality and style! It tapers at the waist which prevents a bulky look and feel yet roomy enough for warmer weather clothing underneath. I was looking for an in between jacket for summer to fall for Chicago weather & this jacket was it! The navy is so nice, it’s warm, & versatile! I’ve worn the jacket twice now & don’t think I’ll look back!This brand does seem to run small. So if you’re a medium & would like to wear a sweater underneath for colder days I’d suggest to size up.
We’ll all other rain jackets are ruined for me now because this one is superior to anything I’ve ever tried on. It keeps you dry, you never get that feeling that you’re wearing a crunchy hot plastic bag like other raincoats do. You won’t overheat. The good stays on your head AND tucks away in 2 seconds when not needed. I’ve put it to the test in insane rainfall and it’s really a quality product. Dries quickly, fit is cute. I’m 5’4” 125lbs and bought a small. 10/10 recommend.
My wife and I saw this jacket several times before while away on vacation, and she really wanted it. When we came home, I went online and searched for it. I did find it, but I also found a version that added some light insulation to it for very little change in cost. I didn't tell her I got it, so when the package came, I let her open it and be surprised. She was thrilled with it, and she's still thrilled with it! It's her second HH, and it fits just as well as her first one does.
The jacket was perfect for winter rains, true to color, fit well and extremely well made. I am returning it because it had an excess of the HH 5 logo labels showing at one time which distracted from the jacket. Bummer! I would recommend it if you like labels.
