Hendrick's Gin, 350 ml

I first tried this gin at the recommendation of a friend after I told him that I didn’t really like gin. Apparently not having tried this one was a cardinal sin to gin-drinkers…so I gave it a taste completely on its own. To my absolute surprise I LOVED IT. Nowadays, if I see any bar has Hendricks, I will gladly pay any up charge to replace this gin in any of their menu cocktails. It’s the most floral tasting gin I’ve ever had, but it doesn’t have that typical rose water perfume taste. This has a lovely taste of rose, cucumber, and even elderflower. It’s more like getting all those authentic tasting ingredients from a tea than drinking an infused alcohol. It mixes well with almost anything and is now a staple in my house.

Known Botanicals: Angelica, Caraway, Chamomile, Coriander, Cubeb Pepper, Cucumber, Elderflower, Juniper, Lemon, Orange, Orris Root, Rose, YarrowThe nose, (or smell) certainly has juniper, but I find the delicate hint of rose lightens it and gives it a floral forward impression. Sweet orange, lime zest and a hint of elderflower, my favorite flavor, is noticed as well. The juniper notes give it structure and foundation, but the floral notes give it a unique character.The palate exudes a backbone of a very classic gin. I love Gin, it’s a great alcohol and the fondness I grew for gin really started senior year around grade 10 high school for me. I was introduced to brands like Bombay Sapphire and others of similar taste, however it wasn’t until I got older that I realized I was drinking a not so great gin in comparison to Hendrick’s. If you love gin like I do and you’re still in the high school phase of it, level up your game and upgrade to small batch! Yes it’s more costly at around $54 CAD, but you’ll be doing yourself a HUGE favour! I get the high school/lower level alcohol phase trust me I do. It’s cost effective and back then we drank like it was a sport. Bottle is garbage

The bottle looks fancy but is more fragile than a piece of single-ply toilet paper that has been soaking in water. I grabbed my bottle, made the mistake of lifting straight up instead of up and out. Well the cap bumped the top of my very short shelf and the bottle fell all of 1cm. It then proceeded to EXPLODE. This thing didn't just crack or shatter, half of the bottle is missing. Pieces went across the room. Honestly, it is a miracle that this liquor survives shipping in such a poor container. I am surprised that it does not simply implode if you look at it wrong. I legit have a bottle of Russian Standard that I have accidentally yeeted across the room because it was under my desk and I spun my chair fast. Not a scratch. Henrick's Gin Hendrick's Girl

I LOVE Hendrick's. I try other gins, just to keep my testing and learning but Hendrick's is my baseline, foundational, "go to," gin. I love all of the different iterations with the classic being my favorite...BUT...having said that...I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Orbium. I bought it after seeing it on the shelf and never having heard of it before and WOW WOW WOW it is amazing. I'm looking to get several bottles so I can give it as gifts to my Hendrick's Gin pals. I am enthralled by it. It is awesome. Thank you for creating Orbium.

Impressed by Hendrick’s

I provided Hendrick’s Gin for my daughter’s wedding recently as it was a favorite of the groom. I had some mixed with 7up as that is what I prefer over mineral water or tonic. It was delicious! I was very impressed with thin over my usual gin choice. I had several drinks with Hendrick’s Gin and now I’ll be stocking Hendrick’s in my personal bar at home. Try it! You’ll be hooked!

I’ve been chasing that high ever since. I have tried every combo and recipe for a dirty martini imaginable, which led me to Hendricks. Alas, it wasn’t the missing link in my Dirty Martini search, but it has given me my new favorite drink on the planet. The Gin & Tonic. I’d always avoided Gin. Worried that the juniper would give me PTSD laden flash backs to my middle school days slathering myself in Juniper Breeze from Bath & Body works. Makes Fantastic Gin and Tonic.

I purchased a bottle of Midsummer Solstice about a year ago for my spouse. She enjoys G&Ts, I knew Hendrick's always makes excellent products, and I was intrigued by the purple bottle and its description. What a fortunate gamble! We were floored by the exquisite floral glory that was hidden therein!We are fortunate to be able to afford whatever spirits we like, but it is difficult for me to even imagine a gin more delicious and delicate than Midsummer Solstice. It is far superior to gins that I've paid twice as much or more for.
