Growing up drinking that heem has already given me a preference to this drink. Honestly it just makes you a different type of lit haha. Definitely makes me wanna dance more and have a great time. Sometimes the regular vs is a bit harsh on my aging throat and taste buds, and this is why I love their vsop so much. I believe the only difference is 2-4 years of aging? Regardless it makes the biggest difference. I would happily pay more for this quality because it gives me the same carefree, playful vibe while drinking it and gives me no headache (if I’m not mixing with other alcohol), and I don’t need any chaser! I’m already annoyed that alc has calories but I would like to avoid any excess calories and sugar with my chasers, so requiring no Chase is perfect. Hennessy is known for producing expensive, high-quality cognac. There's Always Thyme" to enjoy some cocktails with Hennessy VSOP. This is one of hubby favourites and never disappoints. With the first sniff, one can smell the Cognac’s strong, spicy spirit. It is incredibly smooth and leaves nothing but good feel in your mouth and soul. Hubby commonly used it in cocktails as a mixer thanks to its versatility. It can also be enjoyed neat. Details: A blend of over 60 eaux-de-vie resulting in a harmonious experience - a testament to the enduring expertise of the master blenders. A natural balance of strength and smoothness with hallmarks of vanilla, clove, cinnamon, and candied fruit melding together for a mind-bending experience.

I have drunk many different cognacs at all levels from different producers. I have even visited Cognac, France to try more lesser-known ones I haven't heard about. Out of the Big 3 or 4 main producers Hennessy VSOP is by far the best at the VSOP level. With Hine 2nd even though it is much lesser known. Courvoisier VSOP is the BEST value for the money though. All 3 have a very different taste and style. So, it depends on how you prefer your cognac as well.

This cognac is adequate, but it has a roughness that is missing from better cognacs. An amber cognac could be a better option given the pricing point. As a cognac for sipping, the Hennessy XO is a much superior option. However, this is a good option for a mixer.
It has a pleasant flavor. This is my nephew-in-favorite law's drink, and the wedding was that weekend, so I bought it for him because he was getting married to my niece. Since I couldn't find this anywhere in Orlando, I drove to Lady Lake, and overall, I had a terrific experience there. The majority of the workforce was kind and helpful.
I'm normally a bourbon and rye drinker, but a friend brought a 1.75L bottle for a party I was hosting, and I've been drinking it; not because it's there, but because it's very enjoyable. At 80 proof, it's not strong at all so even having a little afternoon nip isn't going to knock me out as some of my 100+ proof ryes might do (which I avoid during the day). This is a very versatile spirit. It's great over rocks, and used in cocktails. But personally, I mostly enjoy drinking it neat. It's very pleasing. I haven't imbibed much cognac over the years, but this cognac is compelling me to explore...
I love exploring new cocktail recipes. One that I discovered and love is called "The Honest Oxen". This drink melts in your mouth! Ingredients: 1.5 oz Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège 3 oz Coconut water 0.5 oz Vanilla liqueur 1 Coconut slice Recipe: Pour Hennessy V.S.O.P Privilège and vanilla liqueur into a rocks glass with ice. Top with coconut water. Garnish with a coconut slice.
Some of the accessible brands are new to me. This is a wonderful discovery. A friend mixed me a drink that contained two tablespoons of Sprite, a double shot of Jamison's, and a generous squeeze of lemon from my tree. It's a cool summer beverage when served over ice!
I typically drink bourbon and rye, but a friend bought a 1.75L bottle for a party I was throwing, and I've been drinking it because it's great rather than just because it's there. It's not that potent at 80 proof, so even a small midday nip won't put me to sleep like some of my ryes with 100+ proof might (which I avoid during the day). This spirit is exceedingly adaptable. It tastes fantastic on the rocks and in cocktails. Personally, though, I prefer to sip it neat. It's quite enjoyable. Over the years, I haven't drank much cognac, but this one is making me want to learn more.
I am new to cognac, really not a drinker at all. However, after some major stress in my life, I thought perhaps a cocktail now and then might be a good idea. After a lot of research, I tried Hennessy VSOP cognac and Grand Marnier for the "beautiful cocktail". I absolutely love it. Got a nice brandy snifter to go with it and I'm in heaven. Can't go wrong with premium liquors like Hennessey.
