Hermes Elixir Des Merveilles - 100ml Eau De Parfum Spray

This has been my favorite scent for a long time. I hate flowery scented perfumes. This is not one of them. This has a unique, spicy, woodsy, almost pachouli scent. It smells different on everyone and I know some people who the scent definitely doesn't work for, but it works really well for me. It's not overpowering. I will say it doesn't seem to last as long as it once did, but it's probably because I don't use as much either.

I went with this fragrance purely based on notes listed. Complete impulse buy- smell un smelt.. and I have to say…. Wow. This really is lovely. I know .. I know not everyone’s chemistry is great for everything- but if you are someone who leans towards woody or leafy slightly floral - this may work for you. It dries down to a warm sweetness on me. I have received a lot of compliments

It’s just barely citrusy, just barely sweet, and because of the ambergris, it takes a skin-like salty sweet drydown that is absolutely beautiful. It’s never cloying, never too present, and just the right amount of sweetness to be feminine, although I believe this is just as easily worn by a man, and just as beautifully. This has been my holy grail perfume for the past 5-10 years. It has a light and refreshing scent, just a bit sweet, a bit of spice, and underlying earthy tones. It's very subtle, not overpowering and very multi-dimensional. It's on the more expensive side but the bottle lasts a long time.

A deeper more complex version of the Eau des Merveilles, it has the classic Hermes dry finish, making it a gourmand for people who don’t like sticky sweet perfumes. It reminds me of those chocolate oranges one gets at stuffed in a Christmas stocking, with a bit of pine. There’s a lovely salty note that offsets the sweetness. It’s a great perfume for the fall/winter and actually quite unisex. As someone who samples LOTS of perfumes. (I have about 200), this is one of the few I’ve actually purchased.

A "Delightful" Scent

Elixir des Merveilles Eau de Parfum is my favorite scent. It is very difficult to find. I was very happy to see that it was available at Neiman Marcus. The web site was easy to navigate. My package arrived as stated in a timely manner and was in perfect condition. This fragrance is perfect anytime during the year.

I smell you want to follow

I’ve been wearing this fragrance for a few years everywhere I go people comment about how beautiful it is. I don’t even smell it when it’s on, so I forget that it’s even their wonderful fragrance. My chemistry is alkaline meaning I can’t wear anything with flowers so the essence of oranges in this is fabulous.

Not what it used to be

Not the same. Have worn this fragrance since 2004. The last few years the fragrance seems to have more alcohol content. This last order more like an eau de toilette. Body creme and shower gel are still wonderful, though..

Perfume fab. Royal Mail Pants. JL disappointing

I absolutely love this perfume. I just wish I had received it. I purchased it almost 2 weeks ago but Royal Mail is the carrier & they are pants. So I still don't have my perfume. I always buy from John Lewis but I won't be buying anything online again from JL due to Royal Mail and no response from John Lewis. Perfume is fab though... would be nice to actually have it! :/

something has changed

My favorite perfume of all time for many years. Repeat purchase twice a year. Fresh, clean, long lasting usually. Last 2 large bottles have been different. Different color bottle and fragrance. So disappointing as I hope Hermes has not changed but something has. Sephora kindly refunded me but I live for this fragrance and not sure what is wrong. Color of bottle more like Ambre and scent is way off. Please look into this Sephora and hopefully get normal Elixir Des Marveilles back! I won’t change my signature fragrance!
